  1. Check the USTRAVELDOCS site also.

There is tracking info in my link below. Odds are if it is not showing up on the CEAC site that "Elvis has left the building" and 2GO now has the visa for delivery. There is tracking info for 2GO in the link also.

thank you for the links. they are a big help

CEAC hasn't shown a valid case number since this past march so I figured once the initial K1 visa was issued it is only open for 3 months then they take it down. I was hoping that they would post to that site again once he had an interview, oh well.

Nothing in the 2go website yet, I checked by case number, passport number and UID number. Hopefully soon

  2. Hello, My fiance's (now wife) son is to following later from Manila. He has to be here no later than 12/09/14. I can no longer see his case number on CEAC case status check link and haven't been able to for months now. He had his interview 9/05/14. Does anyone know know another way to track the progress of his case and his passport, whether or not it is in AP/ ready/ or even if shipped?

    Thanks

  3. unfortunately, the medical was started 2 weeks prior to the interview on 8/26. They delayed him, not by our doing. they wanted further documentation of a tb skin test he had in 2011 prior to starting school instead of just doing another skin test. so his grandmother had to go back and forth to there home town returning on 8/29 then when she got back and waited hours again they told her to come back monday for the chest xray, but do you think they could do his vaccinations on any of those days.....NOPE, they did them the next day which was this last tuesday ( and of course he received duplicates of vaccinations he already had, polio- hep A- and tetanus, and didnt finish the ones he needed, ie varicella, so now needs a blanket waiver) which finally completed his medical that took 8 days. What a nightmare

The US embassy in Manila instruction says that medical should be done at least a week before the interview. This is because St. Luke's forward the medical results in bulk to the embassy, unless they are informed to expedite a particular case. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2004%20Feb%202014_.pdf

As for the delay this might add, I don't think anybody can tell. I would also think 1-2 weeks is a good estimate from what I have read so far. What you can do is to call up the embassy and see if they have received the medical files yet.

Just completing the medical Monday is only 3 days before the interview, cutting it a little tight. It could add a week, maybe two depending...

Normal processing is upwards of two weeks after the interview, so expect at least a week more after they receive the medical file. At a minimum.

  4. Finally my fiance's (now wife) son had his interview yesterday. They kept his passport as expected but they said they had not received his medical packet yet from St Lukes. His medical finished completely on this last Monday. Is this common? And does anyone know about how much time it will add to the average 10 days to receive the passport back in his home address?

My fiance was working abroad in Canada and hand carried her medical packet to the interview so thats what I was expecting but in Manila they use a courier to send the medical packet accross the street lol.

  5. Hi all,

    My very first post.

This forum has been so helpful, so thank you guys for sharing your stories.

17 Mar Sent the package in

19 Mar Should be delivered at LockBox facility on

26 Mar Case Received USCIS Text/Email on

29 Mar NOA1 for all three cases mail delivered

03 Apr Biometrics Appointment letter [for 25/04]

04 Apr Successful early biometrics walk-in at Alexandria, VA

14 Apr Received RFE in mail [Dated 10 April] :(

Just when I thought everything was going awesomely well.

What was your RFE for. I saw on the case status site that we were sent an RFE on the 10th as well but havent received the letter yet. Probably later today. I'm assuming that I too am a victim of the dreaded tax info but will find out soon.

  6. NAO1 3/18/14. Just noticed today on the CEAC status check that they sent out an RFE yesterday. Driving myself crazy wondering what it could be for. Probably related to my financial support form and docs. That seems to be the common request. On a happy note, she did her biometrics today!! At least it is moving foraward, just a pause, and not a denial.

Cant wait to see what the request is for, trying to get my surprise face on like christmas lol

  7. Is she still a Filipino Citizen (Philippine Passport Holder)? If so, that may be the case.

Anyway, yes, she will be able to get the cfo certificate and sticker the same day. Provided that she's able to get in the limited slots. It will take a half day to complete everything.

-5am line up for a CFO seminar slot

    -7am registration

    -9am CFO Seminar / Counseling

    - About 1:30pm releasing of certificate / cfo sticker

    Hope this info helps. smile.png

PS. Congrats on the Visa and Best wishes! smile.png

thanks, thats a big help with the time line you provided. she was planning on going around 7 so it would have been too late. I just told her she needs to be there in 1 1/2 hours to get in line. I just don't know where she will get passport pics. She has some left over from the US visa interview so maybe they will accept those.

  8. My fiance was working abroad in Canada when she was approved for her visa. She chose to go home for the holidays and was to leave a few hours ago to fly to Los Angeles. Needles to say she was not allowed on the plane because of this CFO seminar, which we had no clue about since she was abroad. Now she has to hope to get in the first available seminar with all the requirements when it is now the middle of the night and how can you get passport pics etc. We are to be getting married on Friday and very pressed for time. Phil airlines at least rebooked her for the next flight out but will she receive her sticker and certificate same day? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Also, her visa was issued 12/09 and she only went home for a few weeks. If she would have just come here straight away from Canada she wouldnt have had to do the seminar so why are they doing this? She hasn't lived in the Philippines in over 8 years

  9. Dreaming about your medical exam, huh? Sounds fun! wink.png Congratulations on getting your interview date. What a great start to the new year.

let me tell you the medical isnt what you think, or at least it wasnt in vancouver. for one, which doctor doesnt ask as almost the first question, "when was your last period, or how bout how many times have you been pregnant" etc. I think it is just a formality as my VJ friend has said. they go over your illnesses if you have any, your meds you take, and then push on your belly and send you off to labs and chest xray. Do you have your Interview date yet?

  10. Thank you to both of u.... NVC dont have my case, and im getting depressed and anxious, nine years waiting... I will call the nvc again if they dont have it i will call the uscis and talk with a tier 2 supervisor...

Patience is definitely something I didn't have either. The whole process went faster then you realize. We were very disappointed when it was another 41 days for the earliest interview, but let me tell you it was here before we knew it. Hang in there and dont forget that its holiday season so expect a couple extra days added in there for being closed etc. maybe they will have a great push forward with the end of the year coming and you will finally have a case number.

  11. Question, if my fiances' child is to follow later under k2, do we need to fill out the DS-160 for the child as well and have the confirmation sheet at my fiances interview even though we plan on him arriving in the summer under the k2? I know we will need it later for sure but interview is in 2 weeks and as I am going over docs I re-read where it says per applicant ugh. Problem is is that I am not sure if I will be able to get a photo to submit with that app in time. My fiance works abroad and the child is in the Philippines.

  12. I had asked this question a few weeks ago but no one answered it. Now that our interview is only 3 weeks away I want to ask again just to be sure. My employment letter is from late August. I thought the NVC process would be really 3 weeks as per the letter but little did I know. Anyways, should I ask for a new letter from my employer to have it more recent or will the old letter with current pay stubs be sufficient. I will also be providing copies of my last couple tax returns.

Thanks ahead of time for any feedback

  13. My fiancee (beneficiary) had 2 children, one is alive and the other is deceased. We are filing for the k2 visa along with her k1 for the surviving child. Do we need to bring the death certificate of the first child if he is not listed in the original petition? Just curious since on the surviving childs birth certificate it states that he is child number 2 and at the time the birth certificate was created there were 2 alive children. Do you think this matters? Interview is in 4 weeks and we want to make sure so we can retrieve the death certificate (from her home country) in time.

    thanks

  14. They schedule all appointments for the same time I believe. When I went to Montreal, you could only book for 7 or 8 am or something like that. There were tons of people there and when you go in it is first come first serve and you get a number that they will call.

that def makes more sense then just one a day like i thought lol

  15. So it appears, after finally getting to schedule my interview, that based off of the calendar that the Vancouver consulate only does one interview a day. 10am Mon thru Fri. Kinda disappointed to have to wait another 6 weeks for this step too and excited to finally have a date though, however, does anyone know how to tell if a closer date becomes avail after scheduling. I was reading that you can only view the calendar again if you cancel your existing appointment.

  16. Interview scheduled 12/06/13. Vancouver moved really fast once packet 3 was in the mail we emailed the info before she even received it and then asked for packet 4 to come by email, then by mid day on the following day we were scheduling our interview. Cant wait. Kinda disappointed that we have to wait 41 days more but it will be worth it!. Kinda funny, 41 days for NAO2, 45 days for case number, now 41 days for interview....pattern forming, I think so lol

  17. Scheduling the interview appointment tonight YAY!!!

I have a question regarding the process at the time of interview for my fiance who has a child living back home in the Philippines. We planned on him coming at a later date so we listed him on the application as we should. My question is this: Do we need his passport now if he is not going to be coming to the US within the next year or so? We have his birth certificate. I am just concerned because his name is listed on the bottom of packet 4 and I am afraid of delays if they want his passport. He is 6 years old and does have a passport, however it is with his grandmother who is taking care of him at the moment. Is it ok to tell the interviewer that we didn't intend on bringing him to the US yet?

sorry, one more question...Do I need to pay for his visa to schedule the interview appointment as well?

Anyone with similar experience I would appreciate your feed back. thanks
