  1. 2 Days ago I called everyone, DOS, NVC, and CSC. I spoke to a tier 2 officer at csc and all he could do was tell me that he didnt see whether it was mailed or not to NVC. he did message the approving agent and all he could guarantee me was a response via regular mail by Oct 9. to know that I will have to wait another 2 weeks just to find out if it was mailed really didnt make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Maybe we all have the same approving agent and they had emergency surgery or something and no one is going through the files on their desk. lol

    Aug 22 NAO2

  2. So I have been a busy lady this morning calling everyone from NVC, DOS, and California Service Center. Wow.....no one seems to know anything about whether or not my application has even left California. The tier 2 agent said he was only able to message the agent who originally approved my application and that he could guarantee me a response via regular mail by Oct 9. Um, excuse me, another 2 weeks just to find out if its been mailed, this is crazy....why cant they just mail them out every Friday or something. There doesn't seem to be any extra processing that California needs to do once approved either, just ship it to NVC. I am will be 5 weeks on Thursday since NAO2. Should have been scheduling the interview around this time not sitting here still waiting for a case number. HMPF

One piece of advice for fellow waiters....call DOS, i waited only one ring before someone answered (once you get through all the prompts lol) 1-202-485-7600

  3. People from TSC might be receiving their cases within 10-14 days, but their cases are taking between 4-5 months to be processed... your case was processed very well under the average time so you are still in time for the rest of the process... your entire process will probably be completed and other people´s cases that were sent around the same date you sent yours will still be pending.... so no worries.. it is not the same sex thing... it is just a delay... just keep tracking it and call NVC every weekI

Thanks for reminding me to see the bright side. I call a couple times a week lol. I can feel it though..............this week is the week!!! My fiance is still waiting for the NBI from manila to get here and she is getting her vaccinations on Wednesday so maybe we were supposed to have a delay so we can make sure we have every i dotted and t crossed before we fax packet 3 back to the consulate.

  4. Your file has probably shipped out from CSC by now. You might be able to call CSC and confirm shipment.

In our case NVC confirmed receiving and could give us case number 8 days after CSC shipped it.

Yours would most likely come next week good.gif

    My signature for your reference.

I called CSC on last wednesday and they were not very helpful. I just spoke to the agent who answered the phone. Who do you suggest talking to to find out when was shipped. The one I spoke to said basically they cant do anything for 90 days when all I wanted to know was whether or not it shipped. NAO2 8/22

  5. Phewww..... smile.png Thank you.

    Thanks again for your help.

Did all of you got an email from USCIS that they sent the approval to the NVC a couple days after your case was approved? I am wondering if this is a good sign that we got this email just 4 days after NOA2 or if this is very common.

I filled out the form to be able to receive e mail updates with the initial filing....I have never received an email after the first one that said dallas lockbox was sending to california. So i have no idea what to expect, whether or not anything will come via email or reg mail or nothing at all. NAO2 8/22/13 and waiting like everyone else. Called last night and guy was super friendly, for once, and he said 3-6 weeks is common. I am concerned though cuz if you watch the timelines, Vermont and Texas are received at NVC within about 10-14 days. I called DOS, only waitied one ring, NICE, but was told a month, california told me 90 days and most NVC operators say 8 weeks.......tic toc.

I do have a question though, I need to change the address of my benificiary, I know that once I have a case number I can simply e mail the consulate with the update. Is there anyway to do it sooner or should I wait for case number?

  6. getting very disappointed at the uscis. Received my NAO2 on 8/22/13 and still the NVC hasnt received my packet. They say it can take up to 8 weeks but according to VJ timelines vermont and texas are receiving theirs within 10-14 days. ugh come on California....mail my stuff to the NVC already!! Starting to wonder if they are slow becuase of the same sex filing or are they just that slow. I just want my case number so that my mind will be at ease that we as a community finally do get a chance to be with our loved ones on American soil.

  7. CONGRATS!!! Unfortunately Texas and Veront do not seem to slow in getting to the NVC. It seems that the consensus is that California is still playing the waiting game. Folks as far as July still do not have their Case numbers. Maybe they are going in batches. California did start sending NAO2's rather quick so maybe this is the penalty, now we have to wait longer for the NVC, so all in all it is equal from start to finish for all filing locations. Still stinks though when everyone got excited that they received NAO2 so fast and thought maybe would be waiting for packet 4 by now but oh well, good things come to those who wait!!!

  8. I saw that those who got NAO2 in texas have been receiving their case numbers faster. A lot of folks from end of August in fact. While those of us from California are still waiting. 3 weeks for me today. Like most, have all of the next documents ready to go. Just waiting and waiting and waiting. Didn't really think that the mail took that long to go from California to New Hampshire. Thank god its not holiday season in that case lol

  9. Want to file K1 visa for my long time girlfriend in philippines... And Who's here have a noa2

Received NAO2 8/22/2013. NAO1 was July 12. should be received at NVC anytime and on its way to her consulate. My gf is filipino working abroad in Canada so hoping she still gets to use Vancouver Consulate, from what I have researched should be good. We are in the process of waiting for her NBI but have all other documents in order so as soon as Vancouver receives and sends out "packet 3" we will be faxing it back immediately and then scheduling interview/medical shortly there after. Fingers crossed that these next steps move just as fast as the NAO2 did!!

  10. Sorry, I have to repost this question because visa journey kept moving my thread to the Philippine threads so their answers didn't apply to me, and now I changed my country to Canada to stop the confusion. I am from the Philippines, however, I am working abroad in Canada so my consulate is in Vancouver.

My question was regarding packet 3, does it come by email, regular mail, or dhl and will my fiance also receive a copy. I already have all the required documents outlined in packet 3 (from what I found on the internet) so I am ready to go once we receive our number

  11. If you get anything in the mail from USEM consider yourself one of the lucky few.

There is no need to wait for anything from USEM if you have your MNL #.... it's Rock 'n' Roll time!!

Follow the arrow click the links... and read!

I'm sorry if my profile is misleading but my fiance is from the Philippines but works abroad in canada so Vancouver is where our consulate will be. I hope all the same information still applies though. Everyone has been very helpful

I guess I will have to change the flag to Canada so visajourney stops moving my posts to the philippine threads. Even though my fiance is filipino but is working abroad in Canada

  12. Can someone tell me whether or not packet 3 goes to my fiance via snail mail, e mail, or dhl. From what I have been reading I believe I receive a copy via email, but not certain. Thanks

  13. Hello all,

I have already received my NAO2 on 8/22/13 and yesterday received the letter stating that my packet is now on its way to the NVC. I'm sure all of you can imagine the elation I felt when the NAO2 came, to now know that they can not tell us no anylonger, and are definitely not....at this point anyways. Me and my girlfriend are hoping that we will have her visa by beginning of november. We have already collected all that is required for packet 3 so bring it on NVC!!

  14. If my fiance (Benneficiary) wants to change jobs while we are waiting for NAO2 do we need to update the biographical data or would it be better to stay put and continue waiting for this process to finish. Lord knows that they are slow enough with processing papers so I would hate to cause a delay that could be avoided.

  15. If she is legally in Canada working at the time of the interview, she can interview in Vancouver. But if she has to go back because her work visa expires, she would interview in her home country (or wherever she is living at the time, legally.)

Thanks for the feed back. Her Work visa is good until May 2015 so plenty of time. Thanks again
