I hope not to offend anyone, but I am in a same sex relationship so this is one of the first visa applications that they will have received since DOMA was overturned June 26. The only thing that I now know that I did wrong was that I put Calgary, AB as my consulate for my fiancee. I didn't realize that it was either Vancouver or Montreal. Hope that doesn't matter. I guess I am just impatient. I have no criminal background, neither of us have ever been married, I have a very good job, and we have been in a verifiable relationship for over 2 years.

Does anyone know if a Denial happens faster then an Approval? Hate to wait 5 months for a denial!! I have good thoughts though but being a planner I am always thinking of plan B.

My girlfriend and I have been together over 2 years waiting for this opportunity. California now has my application packet in their hands as of July 12, 2013. I know full well that my app package is complete and 100%. lets see if they dare turn us down!!

My partner and I have been together for over 2 years waiting for this day. I filed for 129f. They received July 08 and sent my acceptance letter out July 12. My app went to California. My partner is Filippino and is working in Canada. I know I have met all criteria and dotted every I and crossed every T so lets see what happens.

Married visa takes longer but that is definitely another plan. Does anyone have any ideas about my partner working abroad in Canada on a work visa, I read that the consulate evaluates and allows her to use Vancouver on a case by case basis, do you think they will make her go to her home country for the interview or is this a silly question?
