Are you the USC or the foreigner? the USC can get the official bc from their state, doesn't have to be the original, just the official.
this site lists documents by country... http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=8953
just select england

There's no difference. We filed IR-1 from Argentina. We've been married 2 1/2 years.

When it comes to immigraton... it seems that if people don't qualify under the law for a greencard, they can always go with VAWA or asylum (political, religious, now sexual orientation, etc).
I have always wondered why the US is always the one taking in these asylum cases. Why can't they go to any of the other hundreds of countries, if they can't stay in their own country?
Home of the brave? Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door? Something like that?

We sent about 150 pictures, but we didn't send tex messages or chats. We sent joint bank account statements but no money transfers. You seem to cover most bases well. Every packets seems different. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. You should be OK.

At $13/hour for 48 hours a week, means 40 regular and 8 OT (if he's non-exempt), puts him at about $35,000 annually. Well above the poverty level for family of 2.

In Jordan homophobia and hate crimes against gays are rampant. Jordan is an Islamic country, and it is illegal to be gay. It sounds to me(my opinion and I'm not homophobic) that you want to come back to the US because you know it isn't safe in Jordan for an openly gay person. Don't be surprised if the USCIS sees it this way as well.
Under those circumstances they could also see it as an asylum case. You should probably talk to an immigration attorney.

Speeding ticket is nothing serious (depending on how fast you were going?!). Don't worry. Fight it, hire a lawyer, she'll get it dismissed. Innocent until proven guilty.
Edit: sorry, I don't know what I'm talking about. Scratch what I said. Seems they must be reported in these cases. Or something.

Also - to note, this is a DOMA case. .. so this could be interesting.
Ours is also a result of the fall of doma. But I expect it will be a boring, drawn out process just like everyone else's.

The instructions provide guidelines. There is no requirement that they be taken at a professional visa photo shop.
They:
1. Must be within 30 days
2. White background
3. glossy finish
4. unretouched (no enhancing or other digital changes)
5. face should be 1 inch from chin to top of hair
no glasses is a good idea.

Might help to make sure and keep your address updated with USCIS (US/Uganda). Seems unlikely they would schedule any appt for you far away from your registered address, actually seems like they would schedule an appt at the location nearest your address.
-
If that's what you've got should be ok.. If they want more they'll ask for it.
-
I'd list every address. It's only 5 years. If you can't remember, do the best you can and attach an explanation. Credit reports often show previous addresses whether you were registered to vote/at DMV or not.

Possibly, you mean "should he submit them?" He should submit all of them for the affidavit of support (if that's needed for K-1). Otherwise, not sure what you mean. W-2 is a tax document generated by any employer who paid wages during a tax year. Form 1040 is a form filed, by someone with income, to the IRS to report earnings throughout the tax year.

Is there a question?

I have found more information on this site than in all the internet combined. Because the process is exactly the same as it has always been, just now it includes all married people not just heterosexuals. All the posts and questions and forms and procedures are the same for all of us. Immigration Equality turned into a ghost town about a week before the Supreme Court decision and offers next to no information, actually a waste of time looking at it. Thanks to Visa Journey we already sent out our I-130 packet!
-
We were married here in Argentina in January 2011 and just mailed our I-130 packet last week from here in Buenos Aires. They received it on July 17. We're almost on the exact same track.

I can't tell you 100% for sure, but if it were me, I'd keep the same format all the way through.

You're OK, it's just the 2 year anniversary is the only difference between the designation IR-1 or CR-1. CR-1 changes to IR-1 at that 2 year point but same visa technically. If you're really worried, call and verify!

Not sure it was ever "officially" resolved. Be consistent with what you tell them, it will get sorted out.
What do these emails from NVC mean ?

Seems self explanatory. They received your emails. ????
