  1. Mailed our I-751 again in a box this time, and with signature confirmation. I also filed a claim on the last package. USPS is responsible for my private personal information getting lost. We contacted USCIS and they don't have any record of getting any evidence. They said that when they reject an application they will send everything back that they received. So they did not receive any of the evidence....so our identity information, banking information, is just floating around somewhere!

Since I had to mail my package again, does that make me a june filer still? or am I a July filer now???

I'm glad you had it insured.

One question that tickled me, though. How come the USPS worker mailed it to the wrong address that it was clearly enough stating go to California not in Texas?

that is what i would like to know. on the envelope it has stamped "found loose in mail" so im not sure why it was mailed to houston, it should have been returned to me.

I think USCIS tend to lose stuff. I would follow the instructions on their website regarding how to package and organise your petition https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips. They prefer two hole punching at top with ACCO fasteners. Maybe use a big heavy paper clip to attach the check to the cover letter.

I think its a great idea to send everything again.

    Good luck to you.

im pretty sure it was the us postal service because they stated that my package was delivered in Laguna niguel  but when I receive the rejected application it showed that a united states postal worker mailed my package in a usps envelope to Houston so it was opened in California post office.

i had the package insured so i will be filing a claim

I'm sorry to hear that. I used small paperclips as well. But I divided all the exhibits with doubled paperclips. The check I put in exhibit A after my coversheet and form I-751 and use three paperclips to make sure the check won't missing. I also took pictures all my docs in case something happened like this and I could dispute it later.

I wonder how could they lost your check. It was not your fault. Anyhow, your package looks good. Better than mine.

yes I took a complete copy of the original package that I sent so it's not that hard to send another one but I'm unsure if my private personal information was compromised because the check was missing and I don't know if CSC has any of the evidence

Hey janet&adonis, sorry to hear about your misfortune.  It's really strange what happened to you.... :(   Have faith in this system but don't assume anything from here on.  It's wise that your re-sending everything and sending it with signature confirmation.  I wonder if it was all the clamps that set off USPS to have to open and re-package your original envelope?  You might want to re-visit the packaging this time around.

Our file got a big run around the nation when applying for our IR1.  We kept on top of them from the get go....and it paid off but only after we kept persisting.  Took us almost 18 months to get our approval!!!

Hoping our package goes out tomorrow.  We've been procrastinating putting our personal evidence together, well not really, we've been out having fun.  I love this stage of life!!! :jest:

we did not have the clips previously. it was only small paperclips...good luck to you

  6. i originally filed June 5... Per USPS my package was delivered  to CSC in California.  however Saturday we received a rejected I 751 back,  due to the fact that it was missing the check and page 2 of the application.  The only thing sent back was the application,  none of the evidence was sent back none of the copies of documents were sent back and included in the paperwork it showed that the  package arrived at uscis in houston office and the envelope was hand written by a USPS employee, and a usps envelope.  Houston  uscis turns around and mails it to CSC.  of course CSC rejected it due to no check and no page 2.  I am not even sure that CSC  has any of the evidence that I sent to them or the photographs that I sent.

I am mailing a new package tomorrow and I have to include the rejected i-751.  this time however I have it a little bit more organized and this time I will add a signature confirmation to the delivery.

since I don't know if CSC has my evidence I am resending everything!

Say no more, and the very reason I don't use them.

What does the tracking history say for the package?

The physical address for California for FedEx/UPS/carrier pigeon - basically any competent service but that cannot deliver to a PO box - I believe is:

    USCIS California Service Center

    Attn: I-751

    24000 Avila Road

    2nd Floor, Room 2312

    Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

Usps says it was delivered, with the zip code. I had insurance on it so im going to file a claim. What i think happened it that between my local usps and usps laguna miguel, the package was opened. It was remailed to uscis in houston. Houston mailed the incomplete package to csc. Csc rejected it saying there was no fee, and page 2 was missing from the app. I dont know if csc kept anything, but i assume they will return the whole package right?

Is this physical address for a signed delivery person? Or can that be mailed for signature at their po box

    file an ombudsman complaint https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

Then refile - i hope you have copies of everything you sent.

This is precisely why I blanked off c/card numbers, passport numbers etc from all documents submitted. You never know where they will end up.

i blacked out credit cards, but didn't black out any drivers license, social security numbers, passport numbers, birth certificate information, etc

i blame usps because supposedly according to the tracking number it was delivered to csc, but the package was received at houston uscis then they mailed it to csc and page #2 of the i175 was missing all evidence, the check, and the photos.

in the package that was returned was an i175 rejection letter. so im not sure if i should include this again in the new package

so it has been a month since they received your package and no NOA. seems unusual. I'd resubmit.

we received our packet back today. missing the check and all evidence and page 2 of the application. usps sent tye application to houston uscis and they returned it to me incomplete. so sonewhere out there is all my husbands information bank statements, cc statements, passport copies, birth certificate, etc

what do we do about all that information lost??

  10. also emailed csc to see if they would respond and they have not and probably wont respond due to their guidelines below

    Mailbox Guidelines

We will respond to your email if it meets the guidelines outlined on uscis.gov on the Contact Uspage under USCIS Service Centers.  This means that your email must contain all required information and show that:

    ·         More than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response

If you meet these guidelines, we will send you a response within 21 days

    Additional Action Needed

If you need help, but do not meet the mailbox guidelines, please review the table below for additional resources.

If you submitted an inquiry that did not contain the required information, you may submit a new inquiry with all of the required information to CSC-NCSC-FollowUp@uscis.dhs.gov .

  11. We sent our roc package mailed June 2 to csc with tracking number. We did not add signature confirmation. The package was delivered to the laguna niguel po box june 5th. We have not received noa, and the check has not been cashed. We contacted usps and they said it was delivered and that if it was misplaced it would be returned to sender within 15 days. So csc has it. We called uscis toll free, and they said we have to wait 30 days before they will do an investigation, which is july 5th. We plan on calling on monday.

i have a second packet ready to go. My question is, if i send a second packet, should i put a stop pay on the first check? Will this look bad? Or should i send a side note that our first package was "lost" and first check was stopped?

I think if I was in your position I would call USCIS and double check they have definitely received it. Did you send it signed for? Even if it got there maybe its been misplaced. Best to ask for peace of mind. Try not to worry :)

Sent my package priority mail with a tracking number, i did not put where uscis had to sign. So even if i call uscis there is probably not a way they can track it. My package shows it was delivered june 5th.

  13. My check still has not been cashed. However CSC received the packet June 5th. Everyone that mailed their packet the beginning of the month has heard something either by check being cashed or NOA.

What is weird is that I had a missed call at 1:42pm. When I call the number back, it has a recorded message that I says I have reached the Houston District office of Citizenship and Immigration in Houston. It says to call the toll free number for case status.

When I do a reverse directory on the phone number, it shows it listed to a miscellaneous manufacturing company. do you think I have anything to worry about? Or do you think its some type of scam?

  14. I have already sent in my packet, but after the fact I was wondering if anyone did what I did? I sent copies of our debit cards, but what I did was marked out all the numbers except the last four. I did this because of recent debit card theft., and I don't know who's hands will be on my paperwork. They can still see its a joint account and still see its the same card numbers.

Also on my bank account statement I marked out the current balance because they don't need to know what we have in our account, just that its a joint account. The rest of the transactions are not marked out, and clearly show recent transactions being done.

Also for 2016 Tax return I did not have the transcript, so I sent the whole return excluding any w2's. On other years I had the transcripts. Should I have a transcript ready and printed?

  15. We were selected for an aos interview. We didn't understand why, because we had a lot of evidence, and took more evidence to our interview. The lady at the local office kept photos from our photo album, she took random ones. She kept copies of our home insurance and auto insurance. She asked why our car loans were only in my name, and i explained that is because lenders dont want to add a person until they have actual greencard. She was smart, and asked my husband questions in english and i translated them in spanish, then towards the end she asked him questions in spanish, she was bilingual the whole time. She did not show any emotion. At the end of the interview she was quiet and said we were approved. Our interview was about 15-20 minutes. We got an approval letter the same day. (By the way my observation of our file was thick, and bulky, it seemed like the same file that was at the embassy interview. When she took our photos she stapled them to green paper and attached them in our file. She did the same with our insurance. I think she also wrote notes in the file)

We have now filed roc. We submitted proof of our aos interview letter along with other evidence. We are hoping we dont get another interview. We submitted a lot of evidence again, like usual. Its another year long process and again we wait

I'm undecided whether to do the cover letter and list of contents separate or all as one document. Currently I have it all as one and its 4 pages long. Which way are you all doing it?

Also, do you think they will accept printed online bank statements or will they want copied originals? I'm having trouble getting any official looking paperwork from most companies I'm dealing with, today I received a pension statement from Wells Fargo that I requested and it looks like a scrappy online print off their logo isnt even clear.

    Thanks all

My cover letter was just two pages with the signature part on second page. Very simple.
