Please share your experience if you call USCIS.
I never submitted a G-28 either. I’m not really worried that the original letter got lost somewhere, because as @Javi76 posted- they received 3 documents at once, that just makes me believe that USCIS has a very messed up structure, unfortunately.
We too got the courtesy notice extension letter. We are not represented by an attorney. What i believe the letter states "courtesy notice" because the first copy or original copy was the first extension letter. That was the "official" notice and even looks different from the second extension letter.

Are you represented by an attorney or accredited representative in your case?
no. but what i think that means is the official notice was the first extension letter or i-751 receipt notice. i think thats why the second letter says “this is a coutesy copy”

It will be 18 months from the expiration date on your conditional green card.
Has anyone else who received the 18 month extension experienced this???? My spouse just received her letter (I-797C notice of action stating status has been extended 18 months, replacing the original 12-month I-797C), and the top of the letter said this was just a courtesy copy, and the official notice was sent "according to the mailing preferences you chose on Form G-28". Thing is, we've never utilized Form G-28, since we don't have an attorney or accredited representative and never have.
i think all the extension letters say that. ours does

noa 1 dated july 6th 2017.
Case moved to "local office" march 5th 2018.
Csc filer
today received 18 month extension letter dated 8/18/18.
So is the 18 months starting from the date on the letter? Or 18 months from the expiration date on the gc

Has anyone heard of immigration and customs detaining an immigrant prior to boarding for an international flight to their home country?
Ive heard of them questioning on entering the united states but never leaving the us.
Yesterday my husband was detained for 20 minutes prior to boarding his flight. This was in miami airport, and they were asking questions about if he was transporting drugs etc and asked for his residency documents. Do they do this at random? Why do you think they would target him specifically? He did not have the stamp, just the extention letter.

Does it mean anything that back in march our case was transferred to the local office? No paper notification was received
-
I just realized something and maybe i didnt put much thought into it. When we got the biometrics letter, the wac number on there i thought was the actual case number. There has been no movement since 7-6-17.
There is a different wac number on the one year extension letter. I put this into the system and it says back in march that the case was transferred to my local office. I am guessing this really dont mean anything. Which number is the correct one?
-
USCIS received our case on July 6th 2017. We did the biometrics in August of 2017. we have not received any other notification.
Plan to travel sometime in july, but the extension letter states that it is valid one year after the temporary resident card expires. So the card expired in Sept of 2017. So I am assuming we can travel with the expired card and the extension letter and not have any problems right?

Hi Everyone: I am among the early filers for I-751. Sent in my package on June 30. The Receipt date was July 3rd. I received the NOA1 on July 5th. I haven't still received a biometric appointment letter yet. So I guess I'll just have to wait to see what happens.
Also- I am in Houston Texas and sent in my application to California Service Center.
you should add your case to the spreadsheet so I am not the only Texas one on there....

I feel like I began to be afraid of having deal with USPS..
In 2014 we sent a package with a paperwork to evaluate school/university scores in to USA credits. Evaluation centers are only working with originals, no copies. So, yes, original Diplomas and academic transcripts were sent.
Tracking # showed it was delivered and signed. Great! But in some time we learnt the EC has never received our package. So, we filed a claim with USPS, and meanwhile started our own "investigation". We found the company our packet was delivered by mistake, contacted them and they were nice to drop it to Evaluation Center, which was just few steps away from the company.. and from the USPS Office as well.
Of course, we have never heard anything back from USPS - they have not even tried to contact the company, despite the fact the signature and address was really easy to track... for us, at least.
Now - 2 USCIS letters (NOA & ACS Appointment) have not been delivered to us...
I understand things happen, but every time I have to mail something important, with sensitive info inside - freaks me out until package is delivered.. And what happened to janet&adonis - just horrible...
we filed a claim with usps and they did not send us an email they did not call they just sent us the $50 that was insurance claim.....

Very disturbing... Shame on USPS! (I know they have to handle millions of mail everyday and they loose very few of them but it is never funny when it's happen to you)
our app was rejected because it was missing all the evidence and it was missing page 2 with our address and it was missing the check

How could they loose everything except the form?
Because my package opened or was opened by USPS. On the rejected I-751 was a USPS envelope that stamped "loose in mail" on it. USPS mailed to the Houston USCIS office. They mailed it to CSC. CSC returned rejected.

Hello July filers. I want to introduce ourselves. We sent our I-751 out back on June 2nd. However, USPS lost all the contents except for the I-751 packet. We received a rejected I-751 on July 1st. I was hoping CSC would keep our original receipt date of 6/27/17, but our NOA came today for our second package, and the receipt date is 7/6/17. So I guess this means that we are July filers instead of June filers. We had to file 90 days prior to 9/1/17, we are still in the "window" but disappointed about our first package.

Hi Everybody- I am definitely late to the Thread but I am among the last filers for June. I sent out my I-751 package through USPS Priority mail on June 30th. The package was delivered on July 2nd to CSC and my check was cashed today- i.e. July 7th. So, now I am waiting on receiving the NOA Letter. Also, I am based in Houston- in case anyone has any questions. All the best guys!
me and my husband live an hour south of houston. can you please fill in your timeline?

I'm so pissed off with usps, my package was supposed to be delivered today .. and guess what, my package left from the post office today! 🤦♀️ I should had use ups! I should know better.
Watch USPS carefully. My 1st package was opened and said "delivered" but it wasn't. It was loose in the mail, and someone found my application and mailed it to Houston USCIS, they in turn mailed it to CSC, and CSC rejected our package because there was no money. All the time USPS said it was delivered to CSC. We don't know if our evidence was taken by a USPS employee, or if it is floating around somewhere. Had to send a second package. This time with signature confirmation.

We are moving to our new house this weekend. The WAC# on my NOA1 is invalid whenever I check my status online but the WAC on the ASC Appointment letter we got for me and my son's biometrics appointment are both ok although it says its CRI89. Now for the online change of address, it requires that I key in receipt number for I-751. it keeps telling me my receipt number (found on NOA1) is invalid. Should I use the number on the Biometrics appointment instead and use it as I-751 receipt. CRI89 is not on the dropdown list. Little lost here. Appreciate any input! Thank you in advance!
yes use receipt on biometrics that is the correct one
