I filed in June 2008. Nothing has changed since I did my biometrics in July. I wanted to talk to someone to see if there is any more information but the number on the USCIS website does not give the option to talk to a human. Does anyone know what the number is?

I got my conditional GC in September 2006 and have been married to my husband (USC) since Jan 2006.

I am currently removing conditions to get the 10 yr/GC.....

I plan to apply for US citizenship in June 2009 based on the 3 year marriage. I have been looking at the forms - are there any other documents to send with the application apart from the N-400 form? Apart from photos and copy of GC, it does not say on the instructions, but I read on another post that you have to send a whole bunch of other things too.

My biometrics were done very efficiently today. The staff were really nice . However, as I expected, the officer couldn't get several of my fingers, and commented that I have "no fingerprints" and that they were "strange"!

So I guess all I can do is wait and see if I need to get those certificates of good conduct again.

Oh yes - they took the I-94 from my passport AND gave me an I-551 stamp .

I-751 package filed to Vermont - June 02 2008

Check for $545 cashed - June 10 2008

NOA/extension letter received in mail - June 14 2008 - Day 12

Biometrics appointment - July 24 2008 - Day 53

Touched - July 24 2008

I got the biometrics letter around July 1st or 2nd; they gave me about 3 weeks notice.

I had my biometrics today. It was very done very efficiently. They had problems again getting some of my prints so I'm thinking maybe they will be rejected and I will have to obtain police records again.

They also took the I-94 from my passport.

I guess the long wait now really begins...

I have mine tomorrow ... I'm hoping the same problem won't occur as 2 years ago, but I'm pretty sure it will. I did a forensic fingerprints course in 2005, and part of it was taking our own prints - I couldn't get clear ones then either!

I was just wondering if anyone else had trouble obtaining legible fingerprints at their first biometrics? Mine are really fine and can barely be seen!

If so, what happened at your second biometrics? Was it the same result?

We just got our 1 year extension NOA for the 751 form. It says right in the letter conditional residents wont get the biometrics appointment. I guess when we did it the first time for the 2 year green card was good enough. Too bad I already sent the extra 80 bucks. I wonder if I'll ever get it back. When we travel do we use the NOA letter to show the green card is approved. Any help appreciated.

Hmmm, I have never heard of this either... . Everyone (on this site at least) appears to have to redo the biometircs when they file the I-751. Maybe they are changing the system, but one thing they do at biometrics s take the picture they put on your Green Card...

Like Kathryn asked, maybe you could type out exactly what it says on the letter.

I have an odd question...

When I did my biometrics for adjustment of status, they could not obtain any legible fingerprints from me despite many attemps. Several officers tried, even the supervisor and they even tried the ink and paper method method and it didn't work. After some time I received an RFE, of course . I had to obtain police records from the town I lived in, in Virginia (Certificate of Good Conduct).

We have moved and now live in Maryland. I am due for biometrics again at the end of this month. Did anyone else experience the fingerprint problem the first and second time? Did you receive an RFE again...?

I am fearing that I will have to reobtain these certficates from both VA and MD

I agree with Cassie. Also, I found it impossible to get my name on bills too - I wonder why that is? I included joiunt utility bills and statements that spanned our marriage also, though didn;t include every single one.

You have loads of evidence, so I wouldn't worry (though I am in the same position as you so I can't talk!).

Hello,

I'm no expert but I think you have way more than enough! The main things are your joint tax returns and daughter's birth certificate, plus the bills etc.. in JOINT names and addressed to you both. I'm not sure if adding things with only one of your names on it helps - maybe someone else can help calrify this.

I sent my cover letter first, on top of all the other documents, but with the check paper-clipped to it on top. I had the I-751 after the cover letter. I'm not sure if this is right, but it is what I did.

I'm waiting for my check to be cashed too... 6 days today since the package arrived...

Mine was cashed after 8 days. I was a bit worried until then. I also received my NOA on Saturday.

I hope I get the NOA as soon as you did - you are closer to Vermont than me, so hopefully it should just be similar to your timeline, with a couple of days added for mailing to TX...
