So elated to be posting the long-awaited end of journey for me. Had my oath ceremony at the Central Islip Courthouse. Family was allowed to be present for the oath ceremony at this location. Reporting time was 8:30 a.m. with 120 applicants. The ceremony ended by 11:30 a.m. Some applicants headed straight from the ceremony to the USPS location downstairs where they applied for passport. The account case status and ECD has not changed from "We scheduled your naturalization ceremony" and "Mar 2019," but it does not matter anymore! To others still waiting, may the holiday cheer bring good news your way as well.

Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview

Somehow I did not pay attention to a bi-weekly update email dated 11/20/2018 that stated the last action taken on case was 11/06/2018 (it was 08/27/2018 in prior emails). Even though there was a change in the last action taken date, the email still stated there were no updates on the case. In my call to USCIS 11/16/2018 I guess I was told (incorrectly) the case had been assigned to an officer 11/15/2018. I had checked the account on 11/22/2018 and again could not find an update. Today, I discover that I have been scheduled for oath ceremony in a notice dated November 21, 2018. Seems like the account took some time to update. Today, the case status in the account displays:

Note: It may take up to a few days for your letter to show on your documents tab.
You will take the Oath of Allegiance and receive your Certificate of Naturalization at your ceremony. You will also return your Green Card and answer questions about your activity since your interview.
You will also have the opportunity to apply for a U.S. Passport/Passport Card, register to vote, and update your Social Security record.
What to bring
Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony (N-445) Permanent Resident Card So relieved to have all the waiting period done with. Seems like the process will be done in exactly an year since it started (NOA 12/08/17, interview 12/06/18). The longer duration because of the RFE. Best of luck to others still waiting. Bank statements or letter from years 2016 to present; Credit card statements from years 2016 to present; Utility bills from years 2016 to present; Medical insurance showing coverage of myself and USC spouse; Insurance policy (if any); Mortgage, lease, or notarized letter from the landlord for years 2016 to present; Copy of tax transcripts from years 2016 & 2017; and Copy of state identification or driver license. My priority date is December 4, 2017. Thanks for the wishes, I did hear back today.

I had my interview at the Long Island, NY (Holtsville) Field Office on August 1, 2018. The interview letter asked to report for interview 30 minutes before scheduled time. The office was far from my place (27 miles) and I reached 15 minutes before interview. After completing the security checks and checking in for the interview, was made to wait with other applicants with instructions to approach the check-in window again if not called for interview within 90 minutes. Most of the interviewees had their lawyers with them. I was called in about 45 minutes. It was obvious they wanted to move things along quickly to get to other applicants. I was nervous and I followed the officer back to behind his desk and he had to ask me to back away, 😂. I was then told to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth and scanned the right and left index fingers. After getting my foreign passport, divorce decree from my previous marriage, State ID, and Permanent Resident Card, I was questioned about trips I had taken outside of the U.S. and other personal questions followed by questions 45 through 50 from the N-400 application. The most dreaded part was the civics questions because it happens to be my least favorite subject but luckily I answered the first six questions correctly and he did not ask me any further questions. The questions asked were:
 
Q: Who was the first President?
Q: Where is the Statue of Liberty?
Q: Who is the Governor of New York?
Q: What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
Q: What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?
Q: Name two national U.S. holidays.
 
As part of the English section was asked to read out loud, "Who lives in the White House?" Then asked to write, "The President lives in the White House." I had to then digitally sign what I think were parts 16 and 18 of the N-400 application. I had with me jointly filed tax returns for the last three years, letter from our bank stating I am authorized user on his credit card, a document confirming me as a life insurance beneficiary and other documents, but he needed from both me and my spouse:

I mentioned about the documents in an earlier post on the previous page, but I will copy-paste it here:
 
I had with me jointly filed tax returns for the last three years, letter from our bank stating I am authorized user on his credit card, a document confirming me as a life insurance beneficiary and other documents, but he needed from both me and my spouse:
 
Bank statements or letter from years 2016 to present; Credit card statements from years 2016 to present; Utility bills from years 2016 to present; Medical insurance showing coverage of myself and USC spouse; Insurance policy (if any); Mortgage, lease, or notarized letter from the landlord for years 2016 to present; Copy of tax transcripts from years 2016 & 2017; and Copy of state identification or driver license.

I had my interview at the Long Island, NY (Holtsville) Field Office on August 1, 2018. The interview letter asked to report for interview 30 minutes before scheduled time. The office was far from my place (27 miles) and I reached 15 minutes before interview. After completing the security checks and checking in for the interview, was made to wait with other applicants with instructions to approach the check-in window again if not called for interview within 90 minutes. Most of the interviewees had their lawyers with them. I was called in about 45 minutes. It was obvious they wanted to move things along quickly to get to other applicants. I was nervous and I followed the officer back to behind his desk and he had to ask me to back away, 😂. I was then told to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth and scanned the right and left index fingers. After getting my foreign passport, divorce decree from my previous marriage, State ID, and Permanent Resident Card, I was questioned about trips I had taken outside of the U.S. and other personal questions followed by questions 45 through 50 from the N-400 application. The most dreaded part was the civics questions because it happens to be my least favorite subject but luckily I answered the first six questions correctly and he did not ask me any further questions. The questions asked were:
 
Q: Who was the first President?
Q: Where is the Statue of Liberty?
Q: Who is the Governor of New York?
Q: What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
Q: What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?
Q: Name two national U.S. holidays.
 
As part of the English section was asked to read out loud, "Who lives in the White House?" Then asked to write, "The President lives in the White House." I had to then digitally sign what I think were parts 16 and 18 of the N-400 application. I had my interview at the Long Island, NY (Holtsville) Field Office on August 1, 2018. The interview letter asked to report for interview 30 minutes before scheduled time. The office was far from my place (27 miles) and I reached 15 minutes before interview. After completing the security checks and checking in for the interview, was made to wait with other applicants with instructions to approach the check-in window again if not called for interview within 90 minutes. Most of the interviewees had their lawyers with them. I was called in about 45 minutes. It was obvious they wanted to move things along quickly to get to other applicants. I was nervous and I followed the officer back to behind his desk and he had to ask me to back away, 😂. I was then told to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth and scanned the right and left index fingers. After getting my foreign passport, divorce decree from my previous marriage, State ID, and Permanent Resident Card, I was questioned about trips I had taken outside of the U.S. and other personal questions followed by questions 45 through 50 from the N-400 application. The most dreaded part was the civics questions because it happens to be my least favorite subject but luckily I answered the first six questions correctly and he did not ask me any further questions. The questions asked were:
 
Q: Who was the first President?
Q: Where is the Statue of Liberty?
Q: Who is the Governor of New York?
Q: What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
Q: What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?
Q: Name two national U.S. holidays.
 
As part of the English section was asked to read out loud, "Who lives in the White House?" Then asked to write, "The President lives in the White House." I had to then digitally sign what I think were parts 16 and 18 of the N-400 application. I had with me jointly filed tax returns for the last three years, letter from our bank stating I am authorized user on his credit card, a document confirming me as a life insurance beneficiary and other documents, but he needed from both me and my spouse:
 
Bank statements or letter from years 2016 to present; Credit card statements from years 2016 to present; Utility bills from years 2016 to present; Medical insurance showing coverage of myself and USC spouse; Insurance policy (if any); Mortgage, lease, or notarized letter from the landlord for years 2016 to present; Copy of tax transcripts from years 2016 & 2017; and Copy of state identification or driver license. If unable to submit any of the requested documents, I should then provide a notarized statement with an explanation. The interview concluded with him letting me know that I passed the civics and English portions and that a decision is pending until I submit the requisite documents through mail or in-person addressed to him.

It is the culmination of the I-751 journey for me. The 10-year green card arrived in the mail today, January, 5, 2018. Mail originated in Corbin, KY, on January 3, 2018. Although the 2-year green card had added the "FNU" to my name, I was able to correct it with the 10-year green card by fixing my passport and giving an explanation  in the cover letter. I suspect all of the October 2016 VSC filers are done with their process despite what the tracker says (some members never came back and updated their info). The process does seem lopsided with the CSC filers not having even a single approval. I encourage the CSC filers to go ahead with the N-400 filing if eligible and to file it online. CSC is processing the N-400 online applications faster with some applicants getting their interview dates within a month of filing. Although the N-400 is not approved with a pending I-751, the I-751 then gets expedited and both get approved soon after. Here is to hoping the CSC filers get activity on their cases soon. Don't forget to let the VJ community know when there is movement.

Suggest changing ECD to mm/yy, otherwise we would be updating every month. My ECD is Jan 2019. Since a month has gone by, the ECD has been updated to 12 months from 13 on the USCIS account. Fixed the tracker. Updating my biometric and ECD.
 
Biometric went smoothly. No problems at the ASC for showing up earlier than the scheduled date. They understood that the scheduled date usually has other plans (12/29/2017). The person before me also had the same scheduled date and the officers wanted to know if we were related, LOL. The "Quick Civics Lessons..." booklet was given to me at the reception. The fingerprints came out lighter, so the officer moistened my fingers and they came out much better. Even so, the officer repeated any unsatisfactory prints until they looked right. I asked them to remove the "NMN" from my middle name in the system and they kindly obliged. I was done in less than 10 minutes. I saw only two other applicants while I was there, one before me and one after I was done.
 
I did use the "Correct a typographical error" link under Resources on the USCIS account to rectify the "NMN" that appeared just on my biometrics notice. I am to expect a response from them on 01/02/2018. The USCIS account status states about reviewing the biometrics.
 
I received another mail on 12/18/17 from USCIS NBC, MO. It is a notice about payment information and verifying the personal information.

The place was empty !!! Apart from 2 people currently being fingerprinted .. I told him I work next door so I would very much rather do my biometrics in NYC and i will be out of the country on my FP date but no shits were given :/ I mean I would understand if they were busy but they were absolutely not :/

Sorry to hear it... but take it in a positive note.. At least you have some kind of response on your file.
Just send a letter with updated documents. They will accept it. It might be the reviewer want to take a look at current documents before approval.

Your NOA1 is Oct 1st week and mine is Oct 11.. I see many approvals for late Oct NOA's.. don't know how they skip the dates

oh Soloenta, yes i remember they asked for your parents' marriage certificate. It seems like a loooong time back, so I thought you must be done by now. hopefully, they won't take the full 60 days.

For the POE at JFK, I took a flight from Hyd, India to DXB and from DXB to JFK. I had read previously about a preclearance location at DXB, but there was no preclearance at DXB. When I landed at JFK, an airport official called out first-time visitors to go one way, I asked even if immigrants are supposed to be going that way and he was sort of clueless and told me yes, so I joined that line. My husband then found out it was the visitors' line. He called me to the CBP section where immigrants should head. I was led to a room where a family of three and a lady waited. There was only one officer and he asked me to get my immigrant envelope and passport ready. He dealt with the family of three and the lady and during that time two more families came, three more officers came and the officer dealing with me was supposed to get off of his shift. He called me, snapped my photo and then left to check on something I guess. One of the other family that came after me was done and then an officer remarked to the other officers what was up with me, that I had been there too long. He took my signature, my finger print and said I was good to go. Then the first officer got back. My husband didn't have his passport stamped so he was going back to the area where he was supposed to get his stamp, but the helpful officer made someone at a counter nearby to get it done. Very helpful person. No hassles at POE except for when we had our bags checked. The officer was courteous. We had quite a bit of stuff with us and he checked all of it. Trolleys cost $6, so it would be better for anyone immigrating to the US to have some cash handy.

He dealt with the family of three and the lady and during that time two more families came, three more officers came and the officer dealing with me was supposed to get off of his shift. He called me, snapped my photo and then left to check on something I guess. One of the other family that came after me was done and then an officer remarked to the other officers what was up with me, that I had been there too long. He took my signature, my finger print and said I was good to go. Then the first officer got back. My husband didn't have his passport stamped so he was going back to the area where he was supposed to get his stamp, but the helpful officer made someone at a counter nearby to get it done. Very helpful person. No hassles at POE except for when we had our bags checked. The officer was courteous. We had quite a bit of stuff with us and he checked all of it. Trolleys cost $6, so it would be better for anyone immigrating to the US to have some cash handy.
