  1. So im just finalizing my I-129F papers and ive come to a halt regarding the dreaded None or N/A questions, after reading many posts about which is better and how they both have slightly different meanings, some say you shouldnt leave boxes blank at all. I then found some information on the instructions for the I-129F that i overlooked previously where it states;

''Answer all questions fully and accurately. if an item is not applicable or the answer is none, leave the space blank''

Straight from the USCIS form that expires in 2016, should i go with leaving the boxes blank as i am told to or do i fill the boxes to the best of my ability as a lot of VJ posters have stated to do so?

    opinions? headbonk.gif

With that latest form you just leave the space blank if the answer is none or not applicable. Just be careful with Part 3 question 2. That cannot be left blank .You must tick the applicable box. When I filled out the I-129f form I left it purposely blank . We ended up getting an RFE for that one and delayed our approval for about 3 weeks. Good luck.

  2. hello everyone

i want to ask about this notice that my fiance recieve last 2 days ago NOTICE OF REQUESTING THE EVEDINCE., he also asking me about this i dont have idea what is it., i want to help also my fiancee to prepared if any thing that USCIS asking additional document 'coz this month my fiancee his very bz in his work and he dont have enought time to do this., so if any one out there knows about this notice please help US and gave us a idea what is it? thanks and God Bless

I am assuming he got an email, text or checked the status on USCIS website about your case that TSC is requesting further evidence to continue with the petition. Until he gets a letter from them it is hard to know what they need. We got an RFE too for not answering one question on the I-129F application. Two weeks after we submitted the request, the petition was approved. The good news is your petition is being processed and once you submit what they want, they can make a decision on your case. Good luck.

  3. I received the hard copy of our NOA2 approval the other day ... just waiting to get the #MNL number before proceeding. I am eyeing to schedule my fiancee's interview for February 2014. My question is regarding the income tax return year. Can I submit 2012 or do I have to use 2013 ITR? The place I work usually sends out W2 form late Jan. or Feb Im worried I will not be able to use 2013 as I will be in the Philippines by Feb. Any input is appreciated.

  4. I looked over the weekend (and again yesterday just to be sure) and the USCIS website says our I129F was approved and the notice was sent to me on Friday (10/25/13). I have not received a notification text or the actual letter though. It seems like mail would make it from Texas to Massachusetts in 4 days... I know I am probably just freaking out here, but is there any chance the website where you put in the case number is wrong? If not, it was processed in 2 months at the Texas Service Center which makes us ecstatic!

Congratulations you are approved. I received my NOA2 hard copy today ... took about 6 days after notification to rec it from Texas to NJ. Good luck for the rest of the journey dancin5hr.gif

  5. hi guys,

my fiance ( petitioner) will be sending me all the documents needed for the interview. she lives in florida. may i ask whats the best courier that gurantees delivery and how much is the cost. i would like to know those who have gone with this process. i am from the philippines so package will be coming from florida to philippines.

I used LBC air to send her documents. Don't know if there is an LBC in Florida. But you can also use FEDEX or DHL. Took about 5 days from NJ to Davao City Philippines. Cost me around $40 .

  6. Hi everyone.. i'm just new here, just need some help. My fiancee submit the alien fiancee visa last April 04, 2013. And last two weeks ago we are already at Request for evidence REsponse Review for almost a month and we waited for 30-60days for that. Then suddenly, last week it gets back to Initial Review, and we are expecting that we should be on Decision right now. why it's taking too long for us to wait for it??. please give me some advice or if you have the same problems like us. Thank you! smile.png)

As what have been said did you submit the RFE and they acknowledged the receipt of it? What was the RFE about if you don't mind me asking? I had an RFE too issued by TSC ( forgot to answer one question on the I-129f form). A week after they received the RFE requested our I-129f was approved . Good luck.

  7. Thank you all VJErs for all the posted experiences and helpful tips, we just received our NOA2, after that what will be the next steps/ procedures for me and my fiance... thanks everyoneâ¥â¥â¥

Wow you got yours so fast. Congratulations ! I got our approval too last week. Next step is to wait for that Manila number then follow this guide by Hank : http://visaconnection-philippines.com/# . Now for that MNL number I suggest you start calling the National Visa Center as per that link a gave you. Personally I will give them two weeks from the time we get the hard copy of the NOA2 before I start bugging them devil.gif Good luck.

  8. Hi everyone! Wanna ask some question regarding K1 Visa. My Fiance/Bf got a Letter from National Visa Center with case number. Was this means I could pay Visa Processing Fee and Could schedule for my Medical Exam? But haven't get any Notice of Action yet, I'm so confused. What are difference of National Visa Center case number and Notice of Action 2 with case number are they the same? Shall I bring the original copy of my Fiance Divorce Decree on my interview or only the photocopy/xerox copy of His Divorce Decree? Please, help me find the answers. May God Bless us all!

Follow Hank's excellent guide after NOA2 here : http://visaconnection-philippines.com/# As far as the divorce decree bring the certified original copy of the final decree of the divorce.

  9. Today my fiance had her interview but she asked for a tagalog translator but wasn't given one so she tried to answer the questions but was told she wasn't answering it right so they told her to have me call the Embassy. Have anyone had this situation? I called and he said wait for the letter. Does that mean we got denied? I'm going crazy thinking what went wrong and and what's our next step.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

There was another case where the consul did not allow an interpreter. Here is the link of the embassy review : http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=13055 . Now I am worried since my fiancee prefer to answer the questions in Tagalog. How do both of you communicate ? If I were you I would call the embassy and inquire why they did not provide an interpreter when there is an option for it. Please keep us updated and good luck. Hope things will work out for you guys.

  10. thats very helpful .... wait we have like 10000 messages...haha how much should i print please? can i use just facebook and a lill of skype or i need all facebook, whatsap and skype messages?

You don't have to print everything. Print only a few. They do not have time to read all of the chat . Make sure to choose ones that shows a loving relationship between you and your fiancee.... quality over quantity . What I did on the facebook messages was print a sampling twice a month . Of course I also included other evidences to show our on going relationship.

  11. This is something that simply happens, yes it means someone touched your file, but it is not indicative of a soon-to-be approval or denial. As you can see in my signature, mine was changed Sept. 4 and 6 weeks later I got the NOA2 email.

I got a notification of alien registration changed 8.29.30. About a month later RFE was sent. At least my file is being looked at :) . Im waiting patiently for TSC to give its decision.

  12. We received our NOA1 for a K-1 in August and were getting really excited the people filing around the same time as us were receiving their NOA2. Just got an email update today that we're being sent an RFE sad.png I was extremely disappointed! I'm not sure exactly what it's for yet, but it seems that most people receive them for lack of evidence on having personally met in the last 2 years. I sent boarding passes and pictures. I thought there was no way we would get an RFE because of the circumstances under which we met....

We were both employed on the same cruise ship for a year. We were in the same place everyday for a year! How can you need an RFE?! You don't get more proof than that!

Is it possible they're sending us an RFE for something else??

It could be for anything. I got an RFE September 30. I received the hardcopy a week later. Turned out I forgot to answer the criminality question on the I-129f application form ! Until you get the the letter of RFE from USCIS, it could be about anything. Don't worry too much. One good thing is your case is being worked upon . Once you have submitted the evidence they want and satisfied their inquiry, you're not that far off from an approval.

  13. Yes I did receive the notice that they received the response. Have sent in service requests several times and they comfirm that they have it. However they tell me that they dont know when they will respond to my rfe, that I just need to wait. I responded to everything they asked for: flight itenerary of our three meetings after filing K 1 petition, photos, boarding passes, all pages of both of our passports, affidavits from friends and family, and letters and emails, all they asked for. Here is what they sent me for rfe:

    TWO YEAR MEETING REQUIREMENT

Submit evidence that you and your fiancd(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-

year period from January 25,2011 until January 25,2013, the filing date of your petition. Evidence

should include, but is not limited to:

o Your own statement which must include the date, place, and circumstances of your meeting. If

you submit a personal statement it must be supported by additional evidence.

. Copies of travel documents (itineraries, tickets, hotel accommodations, etc.).

. Photos (date and place of the photo must be handwritten on photos).

r Letters written to each other after your meeting(s), referencing the specific date and place of your

    meeting(s).

Photocopies of your passport and/or your fianc6(e)'s passport, (including biographical data pages

and pages showing entry and exit stamps) showing that you have both been present in a given

    location at the same time.

Affidavits of friends, neighbors, or other knowledgeable associates. All affidavits must conform to

    the guidelines cited below:

Written statements sworn to or affirmed by two persons, other than yourself and the

person you are petitioning for, who were living at the time the events(s) occurred, and who

have personal knowledge of the event you are trying to prove. The persons making the

affidavits may be relatives and need not be citizens of the United States. Each affidavit

must contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or

her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you, if any; full

information concerning the event; and complete details concerning how he or she acquired

    knowledge of the event.

Did you meet your fiancee within 2 years prior to filing the I-129F?

  14. Hi everyone!! First I want to say Congrats to all of you who are finally starting to get their case numbers :-) It's nice to see that things are moving along.

For my part, I am still waiting for the Noa2 :-/ are there other people in this situation? I was hopeful for a while but now I feel like I shouldn't expect anything before Xmas (5months),

Anyway, I am staying positive :-) and wish all of you luck whatever step of the process you're at!!

Checking on your timeline, I see that you submitted your application on same day as ours and your NOA1 receipt was one day before me. I got an RFE request September 30. Mailed RFE and USCIS acknowledge receipt Oct. 16. Just hang in there. Yours will be adjudicated soon dancin5hr.gif

  15. Does this also apply to all the forms??

I started filling out the I-129f and all other forms, so should "None" or N/A be used or just leave them blank????

As per instruction of the form I-129f downloaded from USCIS website it says if the question is not applicable leave it blank. However be careful of the question on Part 3 question number 2 about the criminality question. I got an RFE for leaving it blank. That has to be answered with a Yes or No answer.

  16. I got an RFE for not completing the criminality question of the I-129f (page 3 part C question 2). I want to mail this RFE as soon as possible but I am not so clear how to answer it. It says to indicate a Yes or a No answer. It looks like I have to either place a check mark or an X mark on the provided space but I want to make sure I do it the right way. Or do I write NO on it? Has anyone been on the same situation before? Thanks in advance.
