Hi, we had the oath ceremony this morning, my husband is officially a U.S. citizen. Could someone please update the oath ceremony date and change to red? I’m on my phone at the moment.

Just wanted to let you all know that my husband had his i-400 interview/civics & English test and, as predicted here on VisaJourney, it ended up being a joint interview for the Removal of Conditions i-751 as well. The interview was on August 20, and we were the last people to be called. I showed up in case I needed to be present, and they ended up calling me into the interview and having me stay for the entire two parts (even though I was probably only needed for two minutes of it). It went really well, the civics/English test went great. My husband wasn't super familiar with the wording on the Oath of Allegiance (it's been a while and I helped him fill out the application originally) but luckily she showed it to him and let him "summarize in his own words what it meant to him" and whether he agreed with it. We did the Removal of Conditions questions after that and our only problem there was that I didn't think to bring additional photos, but she still marked us as recommended for approval.

It took them over a week to update the status online. On August 27 we got both the notification that "we approved your application" and "you attended your interview" on the uscis.gov/account website (although it actually didn't update until the next morning) and the other USCIS website showed on the 27 that "oath ceremony will be scheduled". On the 28th we got notified that the i-751 was approved.

We're in the last steps now...

We just got our interview scheduled for our pending 400 application. i-751 was transferred to NBC on May 3. I am guessing it will be a joint interview for i-751 and i-400. I am the U.S. citizen - should I assume that I will need to be available for the interview in case it's a joint interview? I am guessing more info will be shared in the interview notice...

Our interview was scheduled! Just got the email notice today and the USCIS.gov website updated but not yet for the my.uscis.gov Online account. We don't have a date yet. We have a pending i-751 as well, so we are very excited by this update. Our i-751 got transferred on May 3 to NBC.

We got the letter confirming transfer to NBC yesterday in the mail.

It actually has been transferred to a different service center this time unlike the previous Feb and March transferred to local office statuses which from what I gather was just them pulling the cases out of storage.

Thanks for confirming, we'd be very excited if that were the case. I just signed up for informed delivery, so hopefully we'll know as soon as a letter arrives. I'm guessing it would probably be for a joint interview?

We got the same message as you all did for the i-751 number. We previously received "We received your case" notifications on February 25/26 but this is the first time we've gotten a "transfer notification" as many of you have. We are also joint 400 filers, my husband did his biometrics on March 12. Our 3 year date is May 14. Hope we actually get a letter in the mail this time!

@American1Dream I just saw on the February i-400 filers that your local office is St. Louis, which is where we live. Do you know anything about the processing times for St. Louis? We are still waiting for the i-751 (CSC February 2017 filers) and went ahead and applied for the i-400.

I wouldn't wait for them to email your fiancé to schedule an interview. Go ahead and email them yourself requesting an interview appointment - consulartunis@state.gov. They will ask you whether you've paid for the DS-160 and had the medical exam, but you will need an email from them to do the medical exam. You will also need to have all your documents prepared (passport renewed, birth certificate + translation, police certificate + translation, financial affidavit, etc.) before scheduling the interview because you are essentially telling them you have everything ready. Being proactive really speeds up the process!

Hi Danielle,

I don't know, but our status has remained in Ready status since the interview, which was on March 27. Maybe it's a good sign that they finally updated the status to Administrative Processing - we were told via email that it's in AP, but there have been no updates to our CEAC status so far and no change.

Any updates from anyone on this thread who's in AP or was previously? I'd love to know what has happened since. My fiancé was supposed to have his interview this morning but they simply took his documents and we went directly into Administrative Processing - they didn't even bother to interview him! Has this ever happened to anyone or has it always been after the interview?

Dreamers, the waiting is definitely terrible! Our story is that we were both living in France (where we met) when we decided to try our luck in the U.S. We filed in May, I moved back to the States in June, I started work in July. I thought it would go pretty smoothly, but my fiancé had to move back to Tunisia at the end of November, as his student visa for France was expiring - that was right during the period where our case was being sent from NVC to the embassy, and they sent it to the WRONG country (France), even though we requested Tunisia as the consulate to process it, but we weren't able to notify the right person in time about his change in address. The transfer took two and a half months - from November until the end of February, but it finally arrived in Tunisia. It's been almost a month in the country and we finally have our interview (al hamdoulelah!) for next week. Altogether it took a long time from the NVC to the consulate, but we had a few bumps in the road on the way there....
