You do not need a joint sponsor. Since you said you make $5,082.62 per month, that puts you at $60,984 per year, which is well over the requirements.
You can view the requirements here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf
big thanks

You did notice his income is over $5,000 per MONTH.
If your income is tax free why do you file a federal tax return? (Just curious)
You know you more than qualify.
I am so confused either. but I do file taxes every year and i got 5000 dollars every month. And i will not count my 2 kids as dependents...
-
I do file taxes every year(sorry for the mistake) ..and i have 2 checks every month total is 5000 dollars every month. not included my kids..
-
Your kids are not counted in the total if they were it would have been MUCH higher. That total income requirement is for just you and her.
You do not make enough to meed the requirements, filing taxes does not have anything to do with it. You need more income, a job, or a co-sponsor who makes enough income for their family plus the immigrant.
That is the total amount of my checks per month and my kids are not included in that amount. that money is mine.. the school is paying my 2kids because they are using my va card.
-
Do i need to file taxes?
For a family of 2, you and her, you need to make $19,387 a year. You do not qualify on your income and will need a sponsor.
Often Manila does not accept co-sponsors for K-1 petitions. Unless it is a close family member, mother, father, brother etc.
i will not put my 2 kids as dependants

I am going to post in Phlippines sub forum thanks Hank
-
i've read some post in PI sub furom that manila doesn't required a co sponsor, what if my income doesn't meet the 125% requirement/so probably i will need a co sponsor.
confused now. but thank you Hank your reply really helped
-
Anyone knows what if my income does not exceeds 125% of the federal poverty guidelines? will i need a co sponsor? my fiancee is in the Philippines.
Thank you
-
by the way does it still need a letter regarding my bank statement and investment account statement?
-
The income requirements are the same for every petitioner. You have to show you have income that exceeds 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. It doesn't matter if you are retired, you still have to be able to support your fiance when she immigrates to the US. You need to send proof of your monthly and yearly income..like copies of pension check and 1099's and tax returns. Also copies of bank statements and investment account statements, whatever else you have to prove that you have sufficient funds. Good luck
tax return for the past 2 years?

umph...just to think I posted a related question about do the men or women do most of the paperwork. I was told that I was being a sexest hahahaha and now a similar post let's go girls! Thak you for the posts
Well on my part I really am busy and no time to organize things like these but I'm glad my woman in the Philippines did most of the paper works but of course i did the form that are needed my signature LOL! I just sent her money for the things she needed to buy and money to send the package to me visa Fedex. And all i did was reviewed it all and signed the forms that needed my signatures and everything seemed Fine! LOL
Good luck to us! Thanks to my Girl
-
Yep. That's just if you have a lawyer doing it (most commonly).
Thanks bro it made me check the Form LOL!
-
Signing a form is often known as a "declaration" (as signing a form is a declaration that you have understood the contents and have answered truthfully to the best of your knowledge etc etc. Legal stuff!). That's all I meant. I think the I-129f actually refers to signing it as a "certification", now I think about it.
Don't worry - I just meant "signed". Sounds all good.
Oh !!! LOL! You made me worried bro! LOL! Yeah I am the Petitioner and i'ver read it and understood, thanks bro! but the Part E of I129F we leave it blank it says''other than above''
-
How would they know? Just make sure he checks it through thoroughly and signs where he needs to.
It doesn't really matter who fills it in so long as it is accurate and truthful and the person signing the declaration understands everything on the form.
Signing the Declaration? What do you mean? She signed the Forms that needed her signatures i mean d g325a and the letters intent to marry letter.
-
Oh! Thanks so much for the quick response! So helpful. Yep, trust us girls to post the pics, and pore over mountains of conversations and email logs.=D haha!
Not a problem. It's a think clearbook that she sent me.LOL a little bit expensive but okay. Worth it because if i did it myself it would take months to finish organizing! is it thick package or thin?
-
Hi,
My fiance is busy and I'm doing practically the whole package (except the letter of intent to marry). I'm shipping them over via Fedex/DHL later to the US for his signature, final go through, and to add other items that I can't do.
I'm okay with this because otherwise, we'll take longer. But will this matter to the USCIS officers? Will they know?
Thank you,
Just make sure not to send to the embassy whereever, my fiancee was helping me too, well actually she did most of the packet..lol..but she understood that im busy. so i got the packet and I also included forms that needed my signature. everything looks great. she sent it through Fedex. no prob! I'm sending the packet to dallas lockbox.
-
Is it ok not to add a cover letter to your packet? Do you have to photocopy the primary evidence or send the original ones on the I 129F packet? Plz let me know. Thanks.
Cover letter should be attached. photo copy the primary evidence, except the Forms with original signatures.
-
Actually, you misread my post. I am not necessarily eluding to the scam. What I am trying to say is that you need to know exactly what happened. I mean precisely. This way you can address. it. If she is 100% truthful about it, it is easy to fix: just show that it was abandoned or withdrawn. If petition is abandoned (not withdrawn) it expires automatically within 4 months, noe exceptions. If this is the case than this is simple computer error that needs to be stratified. However, if in fact there is another petitioner with approved I129F with less than 4 month you have to know it to stratify it in a different manner, i.e try to make it work other way, like re-applying.
i have the same issue with the OP, i submitted an I129f way back 2007 but they reject it because of the wrong amount of the check i sent along with the packet, i did receive a ''rejection letter'' saying that
''the application or pretition cannot be accepted because the proper fee is $455.00 (that time) is not attached. since the case is not properly filed, a priority or processing date cannot be assigned. Please attach a check or money order for this amount and resubmit this entire page tot he address listed below. For speed processing Please leave this notice on top.''
and at the top of the second page it says ''Please save this notice for your records. Please enclose a copy if you have to write us or a U. S. Consulate about this case,
or if you file another application based on this decision. You will be notified separately about any other applications or petitions you have filed.''
They sent back the entire packet. I got a receipt number ''WAC xxxxx" in this rejection notice.
I am worried now as i did not contact the embassy or immigration about this. I did not re-file because i found out that my ex in Philippines was living with another guy. i didn't do anything i just kept the ''rejection notice'' and i found the woman of my life now and about to send the I129f packet..
Would this be a problem?
thank you all for the help
-
No, you will not be denied, only very serious diseases like TBC are worrisome for them.
will they take out blood to test for Hepa? what if it turned out positive?
is that one of the causes for visa denial?
-
thank you, that gives me a great relief. one more quick question: when you say entire passport, do you mean all the pages from 1st to last page eventhough pages are blanks? Thanks
in the instructions says they want ALL pages of your passport. so make a copy of them all. they want to see your entry and exit stamps when u visited you fiancee

i would suggest just like everyone else here to call the BON and ask for requirements, it depends though if she got the subjects that the nursing school in ohio has. if not her subjects in PI will not be credited. it depends on their curriculum. Tell her not to take local exam in PI, it will be useless when she gets to america.
I told my fiancee not to take local exam because when she gets here she will not be needing it
