  1. Don't feel bad they do this often but your not the only one it happens to. My husband's name is all wrong, too. They seemed to have left off his family name and just substituted it with his mother's maiden name. We tried to get it fixed at biometrics, I hope it works. If not I will have to send them a letter to CSC, in fact I think I will do that today. If the greencard has the name incorrectly you will have to send it back and it may take a very long time to get it replaced. What a mess, eh?

  2. Sad but true, today was our second attempt at trying MO DMV will not accept AOS receipt, they want the approval. On line it states differently but they are not going by that. I showed them the AOS reciept, and notice that it is pending, bank statement and expired ID, along with his passport and i-94. The lady at the counter said to get something current, with a date, visa is expired and i-94 is expired. I told her I wish it was that easy. I argued with the tigresses there, and the security guard almost had to step in, but I told them they were full of it and did not know what they were doing. I also wrote to the Main DMV for the state of MO asking them to explain why they have it online and when someone goes in they don't go by the same guidelines. I guess we will have to wait until he gets approved.

  3. My husband and I went in to get his ID renewed and for him to take his DL test. Well the ladies at the office said they could not give him one until he had actually greencard in hand or stamp in passport. On the website it does not say this, to the contrary it states that an adjustment applicant can take passport or EAD along with proof of applying for adjustment. Those ladies would not budge, it is so upsetting! I will just try another DL service center, I guess but right now I am just so frustrated with the whole immigration process!

  4. ..... Approved but we still can't go on our honeymoon to the Yucatan 'til we receive that friggin' card!

    Nice attitude.

    Congratulations on your friggin' card.

Maybe you should be thankful you have your friggin' card.

It grants you a few more priveleges than just being able to take a honeymoon. In case you didn't friggin' know that.

rebeccajo, I know you and your husband are going through absolute hell right now and you have every right to be angry about that, but there is no need to lash out at someone like this. I'm pretty sure they were being lighthearted.

    I agree with Mercy.

    Congratulations, Amwo!

  5. You do not need I-130, just make you marry within the 90 days. You can read the guides and get all the information you will need. You can submit application for AOS, once you are married and have all your supporting evidence ready. About the vaccines. If your fiance has his exam and immunizations you will need to go to a civil surgeon that will do the vaccination supplement I 693A for him. Just make sure you call around and get a price for just that, the medical exam he had will be good for a year.

  6. That is too weird!!!

My 1st email read "Case Transferred to CSC"

2nd email read "Case pending at CSC"

3rd email after bio appt. reads "Case has been transferred to other office" and goes on to say case transferred to CSC. (again!)

I'm hoping it was biometrics that were transferred to CSC.

Anyways, I hope all of you who have been waiting since September and before hear something soon.

  7. Our AOS is moving right along, but to get my hubby here was another story. I felt very frustrated seeing other K-1s get their visa, my hubby had to wait it out. We had Administrative Processing and I thought for awhile that he would never be allowed to come to the US. We just got married in September after all the bull we went through. For whatever reason the immigration process takes awhile it may not be fair but that is the way it is. No logic to it.
