Oh, and you're with Vancouver, right? As of right now, the next available interview is in 20 days. I know that things can change +/- when your time comes, but just thought that might be helpful too! Good luck!
Yes thanks! I knew it was around that amount of time. But my only concern is that initially when we filed I thought I'd be going to Montreal, so we listed the Montreal consulate. It wasn't till a month later and reading on here that I actually fall into the catchment of the Vancouver consulate. I just hope someone caught that mistake. It doesn't seem to indicate which consulate on the NOA 2. Thoughts?

Crickets.
CSCers, theres got to be a few of you that have their number yah?
-
Anyone? Please?

Our initial i129f was filed through an immigration agency in the town my fiancé lives in. So my fiancé got a copy basically string it was a courtesy notice and thy the official noa2 went to our representative. He went to meet with them today and they told him his form would work or the interview. It's not the official document, doesn't name the NVC and doesn't have a listed consulate.
Am I wrong in believing we need a copy of the original and not of his courtesy notice? Need to know right away in order for him to send forms.

Have they told you if it was sent to nvc yet?

Good vending everyone! All due respect to the VSC/TSC filers, but I'm trying to figure out how quickly and when CSC filers are getting their case numbers and being forwarded on. Anyone who may have had a status change at CSC and anyone who has successfully gotten their noa2s and case number recently, and those who haven't. Los to hear from you!
-
Does everyone get an email update when their case has been sent to NVC, or is it just TSC transfers? Do those at Vermont also get this notification?
I would like to know this too, does anyone have an answer?
-
Great news!!!My NOA2 date is 7/9 (CSC) and I just confirmed that they have the file at NVC. Just awaiting a case #. They still replied that it could take 8 weeks - hahaha.
Please be sure to post when your number is assigned! Thanks!

10.17EST got manila case number. Noa2june19 transferred july10
Oh look at that! How schocking, its not 8 OR 11 weeks. Just three which is still a pretty long time. But hey, can't look a gift horse in the mouth!
Congrats!!!!

They say to call very first thing when they open or late at night. I called this morning, first thing and got through injust under 10 mins
-
Ok, so some cases were finally sent. Notifications went out July9,10 and 11. It is now July 15- anybody getting more recent notifications?/ Why aren't the rest being sent to NVC????
Does it somehow update once your case has actually BEEN sent to NVC?

My petition was approved at CSC on May 8th 2013 and I still haven't received my case number. I have been calling the NVC everyday for over 2 months now but same old story.
There are some other people on here that were approved in May but still NVC don't yet have their file. So it does take more than 10 days for some to get their case number.
That's why I said "rarely" takes 8 weeks not never. Like QOB said, it happens sometimes but most people in a similar case and timeline recieved their number between4days and 4 weeks
-
The thing is we know it rarely takes 8 weeks and can vary depending on where your file was approved . Csc tsc or vac. Shouldn't wro that way but is anyone surprised?
Typically from what I've garnered for CSC it's under 10 days. It just is troubling when very few people along the way really have a grasp on what they do at their own place of employment.

She can learn to use the Internet and discover she's a fool if she thinks I'm waiting that long to call back. Might wait till wednesday. Lol

Just got off the phone with NVC particalulary hostile lady named Olivia. Gave her my USCIS number she asked when the noa2 was received I aid July 11th. She said LOUDLY "it takes 8 weeks to receive the petition" and that I shouldn't bother calling back before then.
Seriously.

7 am Eastern. 6 am my time. 5am fiancé's time. Hope he doesn't have to be the one to call(petitioner).
-
They are open until midnight eastern time I think. I'm not sure about the answer to that last question though. I would imagine it doesn't matter as long as the person who calls has the information they want. But I could be wrong.
Is it safe to assume they are not open on weekends then?
I wonder how early.... hmmmm
-
I haven't heard there being a similar problem with CSC filers. You should get your number in about a week.
Thanks! Was not expecting such a happy answer!
Follow up question.... NVC"s hours of operation. I know it's better to call early and late, but want to verify what those times would be.
also, must the petitioner be the one to call?
-
Does anyone know if the wait time for NVC to assign a case number is significantly different for CSC customers?
-
Thanks everyone! We're tickled pink!!!

Well it happened, and right after I was talking about not having any approvals today. What fantastic luck.
True story, I told my fiancé that we'd likely be approved today, based on all yesterdays activity around ours and similar petitions being approved through igors list. I won the bet!
We've got most of the required documentation together, I just have to go get my criminal record check and he has to send me the NOA2 and start calling NVC in like a week(wishful thinking?)
But all things considered, we got our approval in 4 months and 2 days. Not bad.
-
seriously!!!!!!!!! Just got the text message and email, on phone with my fiancé!
On July 11, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Ok Meg & Danny,
So our you tracking the numbers you are collecting? I have to admit as an IT Geek I did document all numbers I checked for reference. Created a quick MS Access database so I can search and track all changes. Guess I could have just done an Excel spreadsheet but love working with database.
Sadly, I am not that adept. Computer literate, most certainly, but mine is on plain old notepad(I would have used excel except I don't have office on this computer).
I am tracking all the numbers I have. I just got done checking for July 11ths updates. Only RFE's or change of alien registration number(touches). Not a single approval for today in my bunch. and two unavailable as of today.
SO maybe it is early, maybe they haven't done approvals into the system yet?
And for what its worth, significantly less rfe's and number changes than yesterday or the 9th.
8 weeks to send to nvc ,whats wrong with these people???

I've posted about this quite a bit in the alst week. We were also approved July 11th and through CSC and NVC also tell us it hasn't arrived and that it takes 8 weeks.
The 8 weeks thing for next to all CSC'ers is garbage. They for some reason don't know what they are talking about.
However, it has ranged from 4 days to a month to get it(rough average). Also, through some digging I discovered they typically get bulk loads on Monday and Tuesday of cases at NVC.
Since ours was approved on a Thursday, and a couple people approved the day or two before have already gotten their numbers I believe we missed the cut off for mailing the next week(which would have arrived at NVC on the 15th and 16th. Which if the pattern is actually a pattern and not a fluke, ours may very well arrive tomorrow or the next day, and getting a case number is very quick once they get it, provided there are no other issues with the file.
I'm hopeful for next week.
