  1. Hi guys , i wanna ask you a question. Can we resend our RFE response , `cause i think it was lost on its way to TCS.

7/7 Hardcopy recieved , 7/12 sent documents to lawyer , 7/17 the lawyer office sent to TCS by regular mail / no tracking number/ , still didnt reach TCS.

We called USCIS , they don`t give us info as we have representative , and we can`t reach the lawyer to ask him to call USCIS.

    Such a mess !!!

So i was thinking if we personally resend all papers in monday , but the only concern i have is that we dont have the original golden page of RFE request that goes with the response.

Can we make a copy , because i have a picture of it and put on the top , with an explanation letter that our first response / letter / was lost ?

    Any idea ?

Screw your lawyer. Take care of RFE yourself. Your lawyer is in it to make money, that is why they send regular postal. If you want things done right, do them yourself. Do not rely on your lawyer.

  2. In reviewing the I-134 Affidavit of Support, It wants me to list my assets....the Line that I am having problem with is:

I own Real Estate valued at __________.

With mortages or other encumberances amounting to: ___________.

Which is located at ____________. (the form only has space for 1 property).

The problem is that I own multiple properties. Do I just write in the location of one of the properties?

I also have a high salary, so does it really matter if I don't include all of the assets and properties that I own?

From what I have read, if you make above 125% of federal poverty guides - you do not have to list assets .if filing for I-129f. Now that being said, I was in same situation as you and listed all my assets, stock accounts, bank statements, etc. Just remember , if sending this info to other country - I recommend you scan and email because you do not want to open yourself to idemity thief.

  3. Got my case number, took 8 days from when it left Texas

Congrats steph!!! Mine finally got shipped from TSC to NVC july 24. Maybe soon I have case number.

We got our NOA2 approval on 7/25/13, 140 days from the NOA1. Now from what I read its another decent wait time to get it from TSC to NVC. At least the longest wait portion of this is over. Looking forward to starting to make that call to NVC once I get an email that it left Texas. Thanks for this thread and all the information my fellow VJ'ers have shared with us. This would be an even more scary process without this site.

I had to wait 3 weeks before getting transferred to NVC from TSC. NOA2 July3. transfer to NVC july24

  4. Our case (I-129f) was approved July 3, released to NVC july 25. I have a few questions regarding Ukraine ONLY!

    1. How long after we get case number before we can get medical exam. What is the wait time on available appointments???

    2. How long is wait time on scheduling interview at embassy? I read some people got quick interview like in 2 weeks, others had to wait 2 months. What is wait time in Kiev.

Any information is appreciated. I am trying to figure out when my fiancé will be able to get here. I have some work out of town and want to be home when she arrives.

  6. Jan 25 NOA1, VSC to TSC transfer june24, NOA2 July 3. File forwarded to TSC July 24 ( 21 days after approval). Between July 3 and 24 I contacted ombudsman, both senators and congressman. All tied to help and sent enquires but not any faster. I have USCIS notification by email and phone. I got notice by email, nothing on phone. Did get update on USCIS web site.

Sorry, File forwarded to NVC july 24.

  7. Great news! Congratulations!!!

2 questions if you don't mind:

    1) Our dates are pretty similar, did you get transferred to TSC at all??

    2) Where did you receive that message? e-mail?, phone? USCIS website (does the website show any change in your post-activity status?)?

The reason I am asking is because we have the e-mail/phone notifications activated and nothing has happened so far, we got our NOA2 like 10 days ago and never got a notif.

    thanks!!! and congrats again!!

  8. So happy for everyone!!!! There is another process with the national visa center and your embassy

You can expect another month plus if you case is sent to the national visa center for a case number... Then another 10 to reac the embassy ... Some embassy's will sent you an appointment letter letting you know where and hoe to make appointment

For example we were approved on June 17 th

I received an email saying that they haven't received our case yet and with th new system of booking appointments online w won't have an appointment until September .... So that is almost 2 and half months AFTER approval ......

    I received this last night:

On July 24, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Three weeks ecactly after approval, my file finally shipped to NVC. Now, on with the journey!

  9. My NOA2 was 6/13. My case didn't get shipped to NVC until 7/10!

I scheduled an InfoPass appointment to find out what was going on for 7/8. They told me that their was an issue with my case and TSC had to send it back to VSC. On 7/8 they told me it was in transit back to TSC from VSC. The officer said it didn't say what the issue was, but one member was told by her senator that TSC told them VSC forgot to put a seal on it. Who knows?

They cleary had some kinks to work out with this TSC transfer. And I think they are worked out mostly and that is why we are seeing recently approved cases at TSC make it to NVC quicker than cases approved a few weeks ago. This is just me guessing.

I know it sucks. I too saw people with NOA2s a week after mine getting sent to NVC before me. Just hang in there and know that your case will be sent soon. If you really want to know what's up schedule an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS.

I live in north east corner of Tennessee. Our "local office" is in Memphis which is 8 hours away. I can drive to Washington DC faster than drive to Memphis. There is office in Charolette NC ( 2 hours away), but it only serves North Carolina residents. I must have a black cloud over me.

  10. hi - did you mean July 10th for the NOA2? I haven't seen too many people in the June set of transfers with case numbers yet, only the May transfers. It took me about 3 weeks to get an email from USCIS that they had sent my re-affirmed case over to the DOS..then I got my case number 3 days later. I have seen that some of the June transfers are getting sent to the DOS/NVC earlier than we had to wait but I don't think it's that unusual to not have your number yet although I know it seems frustrating. Hang in there - you will probably get the email from USCIS saying it was shipped to them soon. smile.png

I'm July 3 NOA2. It was 3 weeks today for me, still at TSC
