JnRMo got a reaction from Kaylara in Preconceived Intent to marry and adjust status
Better to just abolish this system all together and rebuild something better from scratch. It seems to do little to prevent fraud/scam marriages, I fail to see a reasonable explanation for why the process has to be so long and arduous when a tourist visa is adjudicated very quickly, even if it isn't an immigrant visa. Proof of marriage (K1s may require a bit more review), with police/medical records, should be sufficient in most cases - basically that a marriage is legal (who cares why they wanted to get married, people get married for stupid reasons all the time), that the intending immigrant is not a danger, and that the resident spouse is not below the poverty line should be all they care about.

JnRMo reacted to Boiler in Visa Denied! :(
There is a Lawyer.
The Lawyer knew it was a 9C case.
But still proceeded.
Sounds like a report is needed to the local Bar. And all the costs refunded.

Well, at least you're living up to you're own prejudiced preconceptions
Good luck

JnRMo got a reaction from pddp in So afraid of making the wrong choice - I want to go home.
In some states this may be considered domestic violence - even though he hasn't physically abused you. Look up domestic violence resources in your area, and some may be able to get some help dealing with your situation from people better suited to your situation.

JnRMo reacted to psv57 in Monthly Transfer Spreadsheets in order
The form is not automatic entry. A volunteer who oversees the form has to actually add after you submit. give it some time, I'm sure you will see it there. Good luck.

JnRMo reacted to Nobby7 in Trends for the last 300 approved petitions
Hey VJers!
I wanted to share some data that I'm playing around with. I took 300 of the latest petitions that were approved (NOA2) according to updated timelines, and created a graph to show trends for each service center and where they are as far as approving our petitions. I removed all petitions from the Philippines and any that were blatant expedites (at least to my eye and from doing some research in the forum), and this is what I came up with:
Out of the 300 latest approvals, 200 were "normal" petitions. There were just a couple of outliers (1 approval in Vermont and 4 approvals with NOA1s before February).
Also, one thing to consider is that some people have not updated their timelines to show what service center they were transferred to, but they did update their NOA2 and it will show as an approval at the NBC.
Some other small details... there were a total of 4 petitions that were reported as originally going to a service center instead of the NBC, and were approved in their original service centers. There were 4 petitions that started out in a service center and transferred to NBC, and approved at the NBC.
Let me know if you guys have any questions!

JnRMo reacted to Darnell in Volunteer to tell your story
Nope, sorry.
Put the interviewer's website up, then we'll vette the person .

I think there is something else causing his lack of acuity for paperwork processing for you.

Considering you didn't once mention your love for him as a consideration, I'd say canceling and re examining your priorities would probably be a good idea for both of you...
