    Hi Sorry I haven't been much active lately. I just got an update on egov that my oath ceremony will be scheduled. MYUSCIS says that your case has been approved and says that the wait time is approx. 6 months :o 

     

    let's see when they schedule my interview.

    I had my interview on 11/02/2017. I passed the Civics and English test. The officer asked quite a lot of questions from the N400 Form as well.

     

    I had a speeding ticket that I'd mentioned on the form and also told the officer about it to which she said it's not a big deal and shouldn't be a problem. She also asked to see our marriage certificate and my wife's citizenship certificate since we're applying under the 3-year marriage rule. 

     

    Towards the end, the officer told me that everything looks good in the case and there shouldn't be any problems, but she can't recommend the case for approval at the time since they had to verify marriage related documents since my case was under the marriage category. She said I could expect to hear something within the next 3-4 weeks :( She gave me the N652 form that stated that I had passed all the tests and the 'a decision could not be made at this time' remark.

     

    I was really hoping to get an approval the same day so I'm kinda disappointed. Anyone with a similar experience before?

    yes i'm filing for the N400. I got my i751 approved this year that's why I was eligible for the N400. Not sure why my profile is still showing Cr1

    GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
    Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
    Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
    NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
    Fprints:      Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
    In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
    Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
    Interview: Date of your interview.
    Oath: Date Oath taken.

I would include a copy of payment , a copy of your driving record too and when you go to your interview take the same items. And yes I know that you aren't supposed to send in any documentation if ticket was less than $500 but I think it will just lend to a smoother interview etc.

    It looks like I'll have to answer 'yes' to the question and type the details about the speeding ticket and take the payment receipt, etc. to the interview.

    Thanks. it's really confusing. I guess I'm going to answer yes and then provide details about my speeding ticket and take the docs with me to the interview.

    Hi everyone

     

    I have received one speeding ticket in the past and paid a fine of $120. Should I answer "Yes"  to the following question on the N-400 form (Part 12, Question 23)?

    Now I know that this question has been asked a million times on this forum, but I'm confused after reading all the posts because some people are suggesting to answer "yes" while the others suggest answering "no".

    The same thing happened with me and I tried to call their 800 number for support and you won't believe what happened next. The customer service agent told me that there's no way to file the N400 online!! Can you believe this? She told me that I might have been on an unofficial website and when I told her that I was on the my.uscis.gov website, she told me that it's not their official website :D Unbelievable stuff!
