  1. Just got the approval email and immediately ran to the USCIS site to see it with my own eyes!

    April 11 PD

    Nov. 19 transfer to CSC

updating the spreadsheet as we speak.

Interestingly enough tho, they also approved my 129f. I thought that if the I-130 was approved the other would be the I-129f petition for the K-3 would be cancelled? Geez...I hope I didn't screw things up for us.

Either way...calling hubby now to tell him the good news! :-)

Just realized today marks EXACTLY 8 months since the NOA1. Crazy.

    Many congrats on your approval!!

Did you get an alien registration number changed notice or something before the approval?

  2. Actually someone working on my file - hope to see something positive soon.

    04/01/13: I-130 Sent --------------------------------------------------------------- $420.00

11/19/13: Case transferred from NBC (Email/Text) notification

11/26/13: Email/Text notification (Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F & I130)

    xxxxxxxxx: Waiting

Hopefully your approval is around the corner. This is good news as it would mean that they have started processing transferred April filers.

  3. I did the same - don't panic too much, you sent exactly what they ask for on the I-130 form! Some people send a lot more (they call it front-loading). We didn't do this as we just went exactly to the letter of what they asked for. We are prepared for if we get an RFE asking for more evidence (we have stacks of it!) And an RFE isn't a denial, and least your file will be on someone's desk if you do get one. Deep breaths! smile.png

Thank you much. I do feel a bit relieved now :)

  4. We didn't send any additional evidence with the I-130 forms. We just sent:

    1. The required forms and passport sized pics

    2. A copy of original marriage certificate (in Urdu),

    3. A translated copy of the marriage certificate in English

    4. Affidavits of 2 people attesting to having attended our wedding ceremony

Now reading about people sending wedding album pics, Skype/ IM chatlogs, etc. is scaring me. I thought that was only required at the NVC/ interview stage.

Can we/ Should we send the additional evidence now?

Somebody please help. I'm freaking out!

  5. I'm pretty sure I saw K-3s transferred as well.

Oh I apologize then. It's just that the highlighted text below from USCIS's mail caught my attention:

USCIS has focused on these Forms I-130 for the very reason that affected members of the public have expressed their concerns; the importance of family unity. Last month, in an effort to expedite the adjudication of these cases, USCIS began transferring stand-alone Forms I-130 filed by U.S. citizens for their immediate relatives from USCIS’s National Benefits Center to its Nebraska, Texas, and California Service Centers. This shift improves USCIS’s ability to adjudicate the cases in a timely manner.
  6. NO need to apologize.... It was funny..... rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

    Taco is a food

Tico is a Costa Rican guy !!!

    HAHAHAHA too funny !!

    No, that would be me ! ! ! !! ! April 12th

Hang in there, Tico.. I wish that your approval comes really soon.

I might be wrong but judging from USCIS's mail, it appears that only standalone I-130s were transferred. Since you also filed for a K-3, your file might get adjudicated at NBC. Just a thought, but in any case I wish the approvals come in for all of us real soon.

  7. Ummm.. i can't figure out why there is no 3rd mail in some of the cases, because when i have checked few numbers randomly (near to my number MSCxxxxxxxxx), all of those cases has the same updated case status as mine (i.e. they are being processed now).

Not sure, may be they all belong to one service centre (can be CSC) , and this particular service centre has already started some work on the files.

Although m not sure what this status mean, I wish this should be very near to the approval thing. smile.png

Best of luck to all,.... wish evry1 get this soon....

Thanks... I hope everyone gets their approval soon!

  8. This is the 3rd email I received on my transfer:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Is it wishful thinking that the line I made blue means anything? The previous 2 transfer emails I received said they were "transferred for further processing".

What was the time difference between the 2nd and 3rd notice?

I got my 1st transfer notice yesterday and my 2nd transfer notice today. Any idea by when should I get the 3rd notice?

    Thanks!

  9. For what I read you will get messages informing you of the transfer and it's great news because (for what i've read in the february and march treads) you will be getting a NOA2 or RFE (depending on your case) soon... they all say another month or 2 after being transfered.

If anyone else has more info about it, please share smile.png

Don't worry! smile.png This happened to all the March filers as well, it's an annoying system error. Your first notice says "another office," second says "local office," and you'll receive a third that ought to say something like "service center." In any case, you can bet your petition is on its way to CA, TX, or NE. Just have to wait for your hard copy to find out!

Thanks for the info..Really appreciate it, guys

  10. Many congrats!

    Approval ! ! ! ! ! biggrin.pngyes.gif

NBC received my case for my husband's i130 on April 22nd of 2013, and

on October 29th of 2013 I opened my email and saw it!

Then I checked the USCIS website to make sure I wasn't going crazy and starting to see things.

When I realized this was true I had tears of happiness streaming down my face and I was at work so I couldn't post then but as soon as I got home I came to let all of you know that they must be working on April filers more, and that it seems like April filers aren't being transferred.

My case was at Lee Summit, MO and I never had a transfer.

I'm honestly in shock, I was preparing to wait a few more months from what I have been reading.

This gives me hope that all of you will get your approvals soon also!

    Don't give up hope yet!

  11. From what I've been reading on the USCIS it doesn't sound like it would hurt the case at all. And am I correct in understanding that we don't even have to pay to file the first I-129f since we already paid fees for the I-130?

I haven't gotten to the fees yet for the rest of the process once the I-130 DOES get approved, but I'm going to discuss with hubby tonight. My visa for India will expire soon, so I think he would rather pay the money to be together than suffer and unknown time apart.

If lawyers are suggesting it, they must have some inside word on whats going on.

That sounds good and yes it seems that we might not be required to pay anything for filing the I-129F.

You're right about the lawyers part. As my LoveMyTico mentioned that the lawyers are asking all of their I-130 clients to file the I-129F they surely must know better.
