    they will scheduled the interview

there are currently reviewing docs uploaded on

    April 16th!

If it’s been more than 3 weeks

you should call nvc and asked For a supervisor

to look why is taking so long !

You ou can check the processing time on

The whole process was very professional and straightforward. We brought way too many documents than requested but it turned out that's better than not having enough! We showed everything they wanted on the Chiang Mai CRBA checklist, had a short interview, and was told it was approved! The next week we picked up the CRBA and passport.

We had passport stamps showing we were together in the same place at the same time, both names on the birth certificate, Thailand passport was obtained by both of us, we had everything in Thai translated for 300 baht a page, and brought it all to the interview. It was quick and painless. The week before we talked to a married couple that went and they said it was a breeze, but we were still nervous! Haha, it turns out we didn't have to be! Next step is  the K-1 visa interview and hopefully to America! Whoa! What a process!

    That’s great to hear!

i have to get my baby girl her CRBA

    I’m very nervous about it!

    congrats guys!

Mom just received today her package in the mail. Her turist Visa was cancelled and the immigrant visa is attached and valid for 6 months.

They gave the instructions with the paperwork in how to pay the fee.

So her interview was Dec 18th and now on Jan 9th she received her package back. Is official she is coming.

I will book her flight for the end of Feb since she needs to get rid of everything in the house.

I wish a good luck for u and your parents, I know soon they will be there with you :)

I’m going to disagree with nuestraunion (unusually!) - when you enter with an immigrant visa (not AOS) it should be 1-3 months. I’d suggest asking your congressperson for assistance if the service requests are getting you nowhere.

    I keep getting this

    Type of service requested:
-- Non-Delivery of Permanent Resident Card

The status of this service request is:

Further research is needed in regards to your inquiry.  You should receive correspondence within the next 90 days regarding this case. If you do not receive this correspondence, please contact customer service.

when I call both representative or immigration officer says that is processing

    and we have o wait

    I’ll try the congressman

    to see if that helps

im wondering if any one else is in the same situation

thank you guys for he response

hello, what they meant buy you divorce wasnt finished?? cause im in a similar situation my husband got the divorce sentence 3 days before we got married, but the papers was signed like 6 months later... in this case what date they would considerer the end of the divorce, do you know?? thank you

    i live in california ,

so i got divorced on sept 13 2016, (the judge signed the divorced) but my status would only return to single and final on  march 11 2017

i went ahead and got married in brazil on jan 11 /2107  , 2 months before my divorce to be final,

so USCIS aproved the ap , nvc fowerd to the Consulate, i paid all the fees, and travel to the interview, to find out that my marriage was invalid for immigrations purposes, and I had to divorce and remaired and file a whole new ap  =/

  8. Hi guys, I'm filling a new I-130 for my wife, the first one was withdraw because i got married before my divorce was final! but we did the whole NVC , and at the consular interview they said we had to get divorce and remarried, after the last divorce date was final. and refile a new i-130!

    the questions is

1-  since we did the whole process to the end , she has a A- NUNBER that was given in the last ap we sent.

do  put the  A# from the last pettion , on the new one ?

  9. hey guys ,

my wifes case was sent back from US Consulate in RIO BRAZil

back to NVC to be fowarded with a  recommendation that USCIS revoke the petition under Section 205 of the Immigration and Naturalization Act.

case left US consulate april 13th but NVC recivied june 26th ( IDK why it took so long because its all eletronicly)

right now i called NVC and they told me , case is going under  Administrative processing and there is no time frame,

for the case to be look at!

any of you guys went thru this?

did it really take as long as the internet says

    12 to 18 months?

You are on the right path, but one thing:  divorce vs. annulment.  Divorce means they end a recognized marriage.  Annulment is to undo an invalid marriage.  You technically should only look at annulment.  Not sure if that's easier or harder, but once annulled the marriage is treated as if it never took place in legal aspects. I think it's easier because there are no rights or responsibilities a state would require for divorce.

but the marrige took place in brazil

    and thats the trick part!

Yes, withdraw the first petition.  You can do that with a letter included in the new filing.  Of course, you have a "problem".  Whether you will overcome it depends on the totality of circumstances and whether they believe your current marriage is bona fide.  This is NOT the kind of case I would recommend as "do it yourself".

im in brazil and there is no immigration lawyer for the US out here at least where i live!

thats the hard part trying to figure everything online!

but thanks for pointing the right path, it really helps trying knowing where to start!

Yes! I figured they will ask lots of questions. And he will be here alone and he is always a nervous wreck I’m hoping and praying everything goes well.

i know how it is , i made a mistake getting married to soon , even before my divorce was final in california, i got married in brazil. and everything went wrong!

but if you have all the paperwork, and everything is legal, and you guys have a bonafide marriege, is going to be fine!

I’m worried about my case, my husband divorced his previous wife in November of 2016 we then got married in January of 2017. I’m scared that at the interview they will think something is going on since he got married to soon. His ex wife and him married in 2014 and after a month of marriage she moved out of the county and asked for a divorce.  How likely will this getting married to soon have a negative effect on my case.

as long the divorce was final, should not be a problem ,

they might  asked a bunch of question to make sure that the marrige is bonafide! ( in good faith)

Yes, you can file a new petition.  Your first one is useless as the marriage upon which it was based is not valid.

    thanks for the reply!

do you think it will be a problem ,

filling another I130 with the last one pending?

and do you think i should withdraw the last pettiton? or just filled a new one and forget about last one till it get denied?

  14. hey guys , so im all set now ,

i got divorce and remarried again, to my current wife

with a new date , (after last divorce was final)

so here is the question , my last case is now on NVC and they will sent it back god knows when! they are talking about 160 days or more

can i filled a new I130 for my wife with the last one still pending?

last pettion did now get denied yet! USCIS still have to review in order to denie!
