WOW So so sorry you discovered this after you're already there... Once a cheater always a cheater in my opinion. Even if he never had sex with anyone (which I doubt), he was still thinking about it and actively trying to get it by posting ads on craigslist. Don't make excuses for him and don't let him make excuses for himself. Are you willing to forget about all of this, put it in the past, and get married??? It would be hard.

Kolewenoik31 reacted to NikLR in Is the K-1 really necessary? My boyfriend thinks it's a waste of money...
Before marriage you pursue a K1 visa... It's a fiancee visa
After marriage you pursue a CR1 via... it's a spousal visa.
K1 is faster to get to the USA but takes longer to get the green card and is about twice as expensive overall. Also takes 3 months to be able to work at all or travel outside the USA after filing for the adjustment of status after marriage.
CR1 means getting married first and takes longer to get but you receive a green card right away so you can work or travel. Also costs about 1/2 of the K1 visa.
You guys need to discuss what is most important to the two of you. We decided on the CR1 visa because it was important to me to be able to travel and it cost half the amount. That meant, however, that we spent our first year as a married couple, mostly apart with visits every 3 months.

Kolewenoik31 reacted to KiwiPouPou in NVC switched to DS-260 from DS-230
Oki doki,
Im confused now. I just got an email mentioning that I have to file DS-260. I filled both AOS and DS-230 about a month ago. Initially I thought this might be a false checklist. I called NVC and the operator told me that they have switched to DS-260 for good. Now I have to fill out DS-260. I asked her does this mean all of my DS-230 submissions are obsolete and I have to redo it? She said yes and it can take another 20 days to review? WTH!!! How is it our fault if they switch to a new system? She said that my civil documents are reviewed but they are waiting on the AOS stuff. AOS was submitted however they did not finish it yet. I hope this does not push everyone's cases back. Any ideas?

Congratulations! I met my husband in 2008, through one of my staff who went home to Ghana and came back and said , "I met your future husband in Ghana". I remember walking out my front door one morning on the way to work and I heard God's voice say "trust and believe". Fast forward to 2013, I am married with two daughters.
This is a unique and difficult journey we are on, but no less satisfying. To others, do not give up on this journey, because it gets hard or USCIS and NVC add obstacles. It is worth it in the long run. My husband is the most supportive, understanding and loving man I have ever met. I thank God every day, that even when I had given up he did not.

Kolewenoik31 reacted to Daca in What happens if the k-1 visa fails? :(
Despite all the usual nonsense that seems to get discussed every time somebody asks a question about vaccine waivers, nobody has answered the original posters question, so I will try.
It is my understanding that if you try to obtain the visa without having the vaccines then you will be denied ad thus you will not be allowed to enter the USA until a successful waiver application has been approved, at least this is what I was told by the officer when I was denied. Your visa type may be different to mine but I think I am correct and the situation will be the same.
To all the people that love to argue about vaccines I recommend you do whatever works for you. The vaccine waiver is available and contrary to popular misconceptions, it is able to obtained.
Forget about how much it costs for the waiver, forget about using a lawyer, you don't really need one but if you really insist on one then I am sure there are plenty that are willing to take large sums of money from you to fill in a few bits of paper for you, but be warned you are putting your future in there hands, so make sure you pick a good one. Forget about how long it takes to process, and forget about what happens if you are not successful. If you are really, really genuine about your beliefs in regards to vaccines, which is what the vaccine waiver requirement requires. Then all of the above things, and the possibility of not entering America will not matter to you. If you are seriously going to be worried about any of the above then maybe you shouldn't apply for a vaccine waiver. Work out what is important to you, if your beliefs are genuine then you will go through with it. If not, and time and money are more important to you, then hey, just get the vaccines and then go and re-evaluate yourself, and also do some serious detoxing.
I went for the waiver with a clear heart and a clear mind fully aware of the consequences. Yes i was fearful of those consequences but I was willing to accept them and not let them force me into doing something that I do not believe is right. My wife stood by me and supported and shared my beliefs. We followed the rules and did what was required. We were in America 5 weeks after being denied.

OP, here is the information provided by the State Department ( for K1) and USCIS about vaccination.
State Department
Medical Examination and Vaccination RequirementsIn preparing for the interview, applicants will need to schedule and complete a medical examination. Before the issuance of an immigrant or K visa, every applicant, regardless of age, must undergo a medical examination which must be performed by an authorized panel physician. You will be provided instructions regarding medical examinations from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will apply for your visa, including information on authorized panel physicians. See Medical Examination for more information, including a list of panel physicians by country, and frequently asked questions.
K visa applicants are encouraged to get the vaccinations required under U.S. immigration law for immigrant visa applicants. Although such vaccinations are not required for K visa issuance, they will be required when adjusting status to that of legal permanent resident following your marriage. Applicants are therefore encouraged to fulfill these vaccination requirements at the time of the medical examination. See Vaccination Requirements for IV Applicants for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

USCIS
Q. What will happen if I refuse to receive one or all of the required vaccines?
A. Tell the civil surgeon if you do not wish to receive the required vaccines or a particular vaccine. You should also tell the civil surgeon the reason you do not wish to receive the vaccine(s). In this case, a waiver may be available to you, but only under the following circumstances:
You are opposed to vaccinations in any form– that is, you cannot obtain a waiver based on an objection only as to one vaccination Your objection must be based on religious beliefs or moral convictions; and The religious or moral beliefs must be sincere. The form used to apply for a waiver depends on the adjustment category under which you are seeking legal permanent residence status. For example, refugees and asylees seeking adjustment of status should file Form I-602, Application by Refugee for Waiver of Grounds of Excludability. Individuals seeking adjustment of status as a result of an approved Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, or Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, would file Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility.

Stop arguing about the benefits and harms of vaccines. The OP didn't ask for our opinions.
The US allows for a waiver. It's a legal option for the OP. If you don't like it, then ask Congress to disallow all vaccine waivers.
The OP has a LEGAL RIGHT to seek a waiver. The OP asked for help. The OP did not ask us for our opinions on vaccines.

Kolewenoik31 reacted to novi4christ in God’s Purpose for the Husband and Wife
God made from the man a woman, to be a companion and helpmeet for him, to be one with him, to cheer, encourage, and bless him, he in his turn to be her strong helper. All who enter into matrimonial relations with a holy purpose—the husband to obtain the pure affections of a woman’s heart, the wife to soften and improve her husband’s character and give it completeness—fulfill God’s purpose for them. {AH 99.1}
Christ came not to destroy this institution, but to restore it to its original sanctity and elevation. He came to restore the moral image of God in man, and He began His work by sanctioning the marriage relation.1 {AH 99.2}
He who gave Eve to Adam as a helpmeet performed His first miracle at a marriage festival. In the festal hall where friends and kindred rejoiced together, Christ began His public ministry. Thus He sanctioned marriage, recognizing it as an institution that He Himself had established. He ordained that men and women should be united in holy wedlock, to rear families whose members, crowned with honor, should be recognized as members of the family above.2 {AH 99.3}

Kolewenoik31 reacted to novi4christ in The Real Union Is a Lifelong Experience
To gain a proper understanding of the marriage relation is the work of a lifetime. Those who marry enter a school from which they are never in this life to be graduated.
However carefully and wisely marriage may have been entered into, few couples are completely united when the marriage ceremony is performed. The real union of the two in wedlock is the work of the afteryears.2
As life with its burden of perplexity and care meets the newly wedded pair, the romance with which imagination so often invests marriage disappears. Husband and wife learn each other’s character as it was impossible to learn it in their previous association. This is a most critical period in their experience. The happiness and usefulness of their whole future life depend upon their taking a right course now. Often they discern in each other unsuspected weaknesses and defects; but the hearts that love has united will discern excellencies also heretofore unknown. Let all seek to discover the excellencies rather than the defects. Often it is our own attitude, the atmosphere that surrounds ourselves, which determines what will be revealed to us in another.3 {Adventist Home 105.1,2,3}

My Dear Brother and Sister: You have united in a lifelong covenant. Your education in married life has begun. The first year of married life is a year of experience, a year in which husband and wife learn each other’s different traits of character, as a child learns lessons in school. In this, the first year of your married life, let there be no chapters that will mar your future happiness.... {AH 102.5}
My brother, your wife’s time and strength and happiness are now bound up with yours. Your influence over her may be a savor of life unto life or of death unto death. Be very careful not to spoil her life. {AH 103.1}
My sister, you are now to learn your first practical lessons in regard to the responsibilities of married life. Be sure to learn these lessons faithfully day by day.... Guard constantly against giving way to selfishness. {AH 103.2}
In your life union your affections are to be tributary to each other’s happiness. Each is to minister to the happiness of the other. This is the will of God concerning you. But while you are to blend as one, neither of you is to lose his or her individuality in the other. God is the owner of your individuality. Of Him you are to ask: What is right? What is wrong? How may I best fulfill the purpose of my creation?11 {AH 103.3}

If you want to inject mercury, aluminum, and egg whites into your bloodstream. Be my guest. But Im smart enough to know they dont cure, they only poisoned. If I took vaccine ingredients one by one and put in it in a cup and start selling to you in the street, they will arrest me for attempted murder. But I put it in a needle, they will say I can heal anything. If you want to take vaccines and poison your body, thats your right. But as for me I choose not too. Poisons do not heal, Poisons kill. take care

Please search youtube Bill gates depopulation vaccines. I would think that Bill Gates is smart enough to know what he is talking about. So I will let you be the judge. But everybody has the right to choose what they want to put in their body. There is no proof that vaccine cure anything other than it is a big business. Nobody ordered my bride thru the mail. In america we have the right for freedom of choice and the problem with americans is they watch too much tv. TV says do it, they do it. They cant see their own country is crumbling around them. They are so high and mighty but they dont realize this. Many side effects including autism have been linked to vaccines. My fiance doesnt have the measles, polio, mumps and tb. If america is so clean when she comes here, why would she need the shots?

What "HUGE" problem at the embassy stage? K visa applicants are not required to have vaccinations.They are encouraged to do so but not required. She already said that she will get it before sending her AOS.K visa applicants who refuse to comply with vaccination requirements will not be denied a visa because of that.
If that vaccination is so important then the USCIS itself will require(for K visa applicants) it they are not that stupid.She will AOS eventually and get the proper vaccinations which she is seem to be planning to do and even if she files a waiver during the AOS period that is nobody's problem/business but hers she was just asking if she will be denied a visa when she had that waived.
Why is everybody so worried about one person who just decided to have her vaccinations waived when there are 12 million illegal aliens whom the medical/vaccination histories are questionable.

america is in trillions of dollar debt. the number one killer of america is heart disease. i live in oklahoma and born in oklahoma. someone insulted my fiance from philippines about vaccines for diseases that is not even the top killer in america. we should focus on our overweight, and debt country more than commenting on visa website. the truth hurts but its the sad reality that i live everyday in america.
we know the philippines is a poor country and we know that there are many people who wants to live in america from philippines. it doesnt mean we dont love america, and it doesnt mean we dont love philippines. its just that we are not blind to the facts

Stolen from mothering.com:
Jehovah Witnesses leave it up to the individual to vax or not to vax;
Christian Science explicitly does not vax;
Seventh Day Adventist usually do not vax, and they founded the Health Food Store Movement in the U.S.
Amish like to stay away from all things modern.
Some charismatic Catholics who know from whence vaccinations come do not vax.
Scientologists - it is left up to the individual; I looked into sending my son to Delphi Academy, a small private Scientology school near my home and I also interviewed for a job as a teacher there, and I was informed that vaccination is left up to the individual; I was also told this by a midwife who is a Scientologist, and a pediatrician who is a Scientologist.
Many other sects as Wiccan and others...do not vax.
