Just got email from Ombudsman guys..... Check it out:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your request for assistance. On March 18, 2015, in response to our inquiry, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicated that your case is actively being reviewed. At this time, USCIS is unable to provide a specific time frame for resolution of your case. The Ombudsman's Office will continue to coordinate with USCIS Headquarters to resolve your case.
Please be advised that USCIS has 60 days to respond to our inquiry. Any available updates will be forwarded to you. Cases that do not receive an update will continue to be brought to USCIS for resolution.
In the event that you receive new information or experience changed circumstances, please notify us by email at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov. Please reference 'New/Urgent Inquiry Number XXXXXXXX' in the subject line, and describe in detail your situation.
Thank you for your patience as we work with USCIS to resolve your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Carrie Anderson

Looks like you have to wait but I hope this will at least expedite your case to get approval soon.
When did you send inquiry to Ombusdman? is it 03/18/15?
I sent mine on 03/18, but still no update from the ombusdman

How long to expect the green card after NPIW?
Couple of months if you're lucky. The longest is currently over one year from USCIS receive date.
It's not processed by order but random.
Good luck!
-
Just gotta return call from Officer Jennifer Ramirez stating that she received our FAX and we will be approved today. Predicted date 3/28/15 (a Saturday, office closed). Keep ya posted.
She told us to have a good weekend...
Still mad, but a touch less...
This is really great news of the day!!! Happy for you...finally you got it! Congratulations!!!!
I just got an-email from my senator in Boston, asking me to sign consent form so that they can assist with my case. This is the only hope I have.

3/16/15
Oh...the respond was fast. I contacted mine 03/18/15. If you cannot contact them back, they might call you again tomorrow. Good Luck!
-
Ombudsman called me back, but I was unable to answer because I'm at work!
Can I ask when did you send inquiry to Ombudsman?
-
I feel so bad seeing some of us are still waiting for more than 1 year. It's unacceptable. I'm gonna be crazy if still no any update within this month. It's more than enough.
-
So I just got home from a 12 hour shift and checked to see if my case status was still on "We updated your name" and...
"Welcome Notice Was Mailed" !!!!!!!!
SO HAPPY! I guess they just sent out the wrong status update to begin with and then fixed it. Tomorrow would have been my 1 year anniversary for this whole AOS process, so they just sneaked in under the 1 year mark.
I hope this is the second approval this week of a long list, especially for you Nat&Mark, I think you've waited longer than anyone else here : (
Congrats!!!! Happy time for you......YAY
-
This maybe a silly question but how many are still waiting from March filers ??? My NOA1 was March 18th 2014 and still waiting
I got my Biometrics next week for my EAD /AP renewal.
So sorry to hear that.........Did you contact ombudsman or customer service? I think your wait is too long...
I had my biometric since last week for EAD renewal and still waiting.
-
Oh Lordy, this is a new one to me, never heard of this one. I don't even know what this means! Your case is put on hold till the bio renewal?? What the heck? I'm sick to my stomach.
When you submitted this SR, it was for out of processing, right? Generally the letter will state the reason for the SR. Or did they submit a failure to receive? It is always on a Friday afternoon/evening when this kind of stuff happens with a whole weekend to stew before you can call and say what the....
I think it is an old message and has not affected your processing. I think it is more of the junk that comes out of USCIS...
This SR was done by Tier 2. I just noticed on the letter that type of service request is non-delivery of other notice. I don't know why she did that despite I told her my case is over processing time. This is wired but I may have to ignore it.
-
Today, just received the mail regarding SR done by Tier 2 on Jan 21st. The letter was from National Benefit Center.
"USCIS system indicate that on 05/06/14, you appeared at the local application support center and had biometrics taken. Processing has resumed on your application. If you need further information regarding the status of your case, please check Case Status Online at www.uscis.gov."
I fee so tired with them, told me what I know. So surprised with the answer
Processing has resumed on your application --- what does it mean???

Had bio with 1 finger today......still no GC approve
Hope my new EAD card will not come before GC
-
OH, Come on April filers. I want to hear good news on you all.
Moveinon, Nlhernan, Pat80.....
I really wanna give the good news but still nothing update
-
I still have a SR that I filed on Feb 25th that says "assigned on March 9th" on the left and "unassigned on March 9th" oh the right. What the heck does that mean. Is it assigned to an officer or not?? Its the same exact SR number. It told me when I field it that I would be a response by March 19th. Hum, thats tomorrow lol
I think they confused themselves. If tomorrow, it is the same, send the new request. My request was unassigned since Jan. Once I put the new request in Mar, they assigned the previous one immediately.....
I know that I may get nothing update for my case relying on the respond mail. But, I have no other option. All done.......checking USCIS website everyday, calling USCIS, sending SR, contact senator and ombudsman for yesterday.....almost a year anniversary since filing in next 2 weeks!!!
-
I put one more service request online again on March 12, it went to assigned and then unassigned again. On March 13, it's a bit surprised that USCIS just assigned my old service request to NBC made by Tier 2 since Jan 21 and now responded by mail. Will wait and see even 99% would be just formal statement respond.
-
Thanks everyone, I'm betting there's gonna be a few approvals this week, mine was just out of the blue, I honestly forgot I even did the Ombudsman thing
Big Congrats to you Natonstan! I'm really happy for you getting the GC. You are just relieved now YAY!!!!!!

Any April 2014 fillers get their green card yet who received the NPIW letter in July 2014? This waiting really is bad.
No movement at all. This really sucks!
-
No approval today? How sad
-
Yesterday, I randomly checked each case to see any approval for I-485 on USCIS website. I feel that USCIS is now mostly working on NOA dated 03/24 cases.
However, I don't know why some of early march filers still have not get approval yet and now waiting for over 1 year.
The approval rate is very low, it's lower and lower everyday. I have no hope even I will get approval by April.
-
So our notice date for AOS is April 24, 2014. Our file is in the Kendall, Miami office. We received the interview waiver letter July 29, 2014. Processing times say that they are processing April 24, 2014 cases, which means that if we don't hear something soon, we will be outside processing times. I know that submitting an inquiry is pretty much useless, so I was wondering if anyone has just walked in to their local USCIS office to find out what is going on. The closest infopass appointment is not until late this month, and I really would like to know something sooner. If anyone has any advise, please let me know. Thank you!
I'm wondering how do you know that your file is in Kendall office? Because all of interview waiver letter cases are at National Benefit Center. You are lucky that it's in the USCIS office. If I were you I will make an info pass appointment. They will be able to answer your question.
However, if your case is not at USCIS office, I'm so sorry to say that the processing time at each USCIS means nothing. My USCIS office is now processing Nov 14 filer and me, March 14 filer has noting to expect. They don't touch my case.

As the adage goes, no good turn goes unpunished.
When a society turns a blind eye toward and rewards people who enter the country and/or stay in the country illegally and at the same time punishes (and yes this is punishment, plain and simple) people who do the right things and play by the rules, then that society is in trouble..
I feel so desparate about getting GC...Hope was coming and has gone month on month....
I saw your timeline and really wish your GC get approved in this month
-
i know some friends who come here on tourist visa and got married ,they did get their GC a lot quicker than us who came here on K1, and they all had interview ,interview made it a lot quicker than waiver of interview
Totally agreed......I might be wrong coming with K1 and wait for K1 to be approved for 8 months then waiting for AOS for no end. If I came with tourist visa, my GC would be in hand since 2013.

Spoke to a Tier 2 yesterday (not that pleasant). She said that the Chicago lockbox has not received the EAD renewal yet and that Lee's Summit may transfer the app to Chicago or send it back to us but we have to wait 60 days from when we mailed it out. then we can call back again. She also said that I can email lockbox support and put in a request for them to research it. I did that and received back a confirmation that they received it but they are also backlogged and could take 30 days! BUT I CAN NOT resend to the correct address untill I am contacted or the app is sent back. What?? So we just wait not knowing? It expires on Jun 6th! I was finally able to get an infopass appt.,but not untill Mar 18th. Nothing, I mean nothing else I can do untill then. I'm so very upset!
Sorry to hear that...I'm wondering if you can send the new EAD application? because it's free this time and you didn't sent check. or you have to wait until the previous one get delivered to the right place?

So we received the elusive green card today! I just wanted to post a couple of things to show the process (that happened for us - may be different for others) after you're approved just in case any of you are wondering, because frankly I've been sitting on pins and needles since the approval last Friday.
The Status-es
1. Your Case Status: Card/Document Production ... On DATE, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. ... (No date given on when to expect it) - We received this on on Feb 20, 2015
2. Your Case Status: Decision ... On DATE, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome notice for Receipt Number XXX. ... (Approx 2 months as to when you'll receive card) We received this on Feb 23, 2015
3. Your Case Status: Card/Document Production ... On DATE we mailed your new card for Receipt Number XXX, to the address you gave us. ... (Approx 1 month as to when you'll received card) We received this on Feb 26, 2015
4. Card shows up in the mail! Priority Mail - Flat Rate Envelope / We received this on Feb 27, 2015.
The card does in fact come from the dungeon in Lee's Summit MO. (And as some of you already know, our case was adjudicated in Philadelphia PA whereas our local office is Tampa FL)
Also, I've attached a photo to show that green cards do in fact exist! And apparently they have wireless capabilities, but not when they are within their super sekret special envelopes. (Sorry, if you see the picture, you'll understand that last sentence).
Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you guys. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!! I've been a lurker here most of the time, but the knowledge I gained from this site and from you guys, well B & I would not be where we are today without you, all of you. So from the bottom of my heart, Cheers!
I really hope to see you guys in about 21 months, because we're going to need you again come ROC.
Really glad to hear that you got the GC. Congratulations!
Thank you for sharing a very useful information for us. My date is very closed to you and we got the same NPIW date 07/10/2014. I am looking forward to getting mine soon.
-
Just thought you'd guys like to know, so you have hope, that we were approved today! We submitted our application late March and had a NPIW of June 27th! There's movement! My medical was done November 2013 and I had no RFE so fingers crossed that you guys don't as well! I also did one service request early January. I first got a letter from the Boston office saying that my case wasn't there (which I already knew) and that they'd be forwarding it to the appropriate location. On Feb. 14th I got an email from USCIS saying the usual due to workload factors not related to my case yada yada yada my case is delayed....and then 9 days letter card production!
For those of you who have seen the light at the end of the AOS tunnel I have a a few questions. How long from receiving your welcome notice did you have the card in your hand? As you can see below it says it should arrive April 24th...it takes two months?! And what is ADIT processing? Hopefully not another headache!
"On February 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC149XXXXXX1. Please follow the
instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by April 24, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."
Congratulations! Ady! I think you will get your GC by next week.
I'm in Boston too, still waiting and waiting....Can you tell me what is your NOA date?
Thanks!
Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case [Part II]
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
This is what I just got reply back from my senator --> it's the reply she received from NBC about my case:
After a review of our systems it was found that case MSC1490878xxx, Form 1-485 received 04/04/2014 for xxx xxxx has been identified as a possible interview waiver case and is currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USC'S field offices based on field office capacity. At this time the processing time is approximately 9-12 months or more. Because these cases potentially do not require an interview, they are being sent to field offices based on their capacity to adjudicate the cases, not necessarily the field office that is closest to the applicant.
The decision to waive the interview for certain cases is based on standards set at the national level. The standards include adjustment categories in which there is normally enough evidence included with the case to make an adjudicative decision without an interview. The adjudicative office takes into account these standards, as well as the specific situation of each applicant, on a case by case basis, to determine whether the interview may be waived.
