  1. For some odd reason I can't upload pics but the wording is:

    Card Was Mailed To Me

On April 13, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC**********, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by May 13, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    espared12, Happy for you! yay!

Can I ask whether you received the status of "welcome notice" sent? I haven't get any update except the card was ordered on 09/04.

    Thanks :)

  2. Hello everyone, I have been a long time lurker but I thought i should just chime in and say that today our status went to production of green card!!! FINALLY!! filed June 2 2014, waiver received sometime in September (we lost it so we cant remember exactly the date). only thing I did was wait, I didn't file any service requests or talk to any senator. Just waiting and finally our patience pays off. thank you all for your support and this forum for its invaluable information, without this website I wouldn't be able to do this myself. See you guys in 2 years at ROC...

    Congratulations!

  3. WOO-HOO!!! Congratulations!! This is awesome, so happy for you. Don't you forget about us. Enjoy!

    Thank you!

Those who have the approvals, please contact the Ombudsman and let them know so they will close your file with them and can move on to those that still need the help..thanks so much :)

    Sure! I'll do that.

Hi everyone, I had a big rise and fall today. But the first thing that I'd like to share with you guys is that I finally got the approval, about 60 minutes ago.
On April 9, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us.
I had InfoPass interview this morning, talked to USCIS Tier 2 representative for my first time (as suggested by espared12, thank you!), and probably the last time regarding this application, and called the Ombudsman office afterwards. I did not expect this surprise, as none of the above endeavor gave me positive messages.

This was a hard day for you but finally ending with good news. Congratulations!

    Congratulations!! :dancing:

    Thank you :)

  4. Awww thanks, but we are all in this together and we all give each other support and comfort.

OK USCIS, Movin On GC now!!! Thank you in advance! :)

Hi Shell, Thank you for your help, support and encouragement always. I'm so happy having you in this forum. Hope you have a good journey for your GC. USCIS needs to fix the workload problems! It's time.

Congrats!!! That is great news. Still waiting here. Our NOAs are one apart!!!

Thank you! Yours will be coming, I believe!

Congratulations!!!!!!! They squeaked past the 1 year mark, again...

Enjoy your dream, you deserve it...

That's why I left LA in 1979, because I anticipated just this very thing happening...

Thank you, nlhernan, it's unbelievable for me as I thought they might need sometime to start looking on my case after the transfer to Ohio office. I'm 100% sure that this was because of my senator. Her office is very effective and responded quickly for my situation. Otherwise, my cases might be sleeping at NBC this time.

I wish everybody who are still waiting get your approval soon. It's really painful for this wait and more than enough for all of us but don't give up!. I'll still be here and happy to help as much as I can.

  6. This afternoon, I got an e-mail form senator office that on 04/01/15 my case has been transferring to the USCIS office in Columbus, OH. It's on the way now. I don't think about getting approval soon as this might take some time for the processing. Will wait and see........

I thought they would transfer many pending cases. Hope all of us who are still waiting get some movement too!

Yes I guess I could call them again. Let's see what they have to say this time as tomorrow will be 1 year since they received my I-485 ...

Have you ever tried contacting senator office? This might help.

  7. Hello everyone! I would like to ask for your opinions on this matter. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of our aos application. I received a mail saying that our file was transferred to a field office in Reno last week. Believe it or not, we are actually thinking of flying there and get an info pass just to get an update on my case. We are getting desperate bec few months ago, we booked tickets going out of the country thinking that this process wouldn't take this long. Has anyone tried visiting the field office where their case is at?

I know how you feel. I've never tried but hope you have an update on your case. Tomorrow will be 1 year anniversary; my case has not yet even transferred to any office.

  8. I filed for i-485 from fiance visa late Jan 2014, recieved first EAD and potential interview waiver form May 2014, after 3 service requests between August and Feb of this year have gotten no further with my green card, applied for renewal EAD in late Feb, card now in production but still no news about green card...

This is really unacceptable!!! It's too long, sorry to hear that.

My goal now is getting GC within this year. :dead: 0% for me to get in 1 year. I feel like they are extending the processing time from 6 mths to 9 mths to 12 mths and now more..may be 10 years :bonk:

  9. April 1, 2015

    Dear Tina:

I am writing to update you on the status of your case with I-485 petition.

Below is correspondence I have received from US National Befits Center regarding your pending petition. I hope this information es beneficial.

Case MSCXXXXX, Form I-485, A# , DOB filed by Mr.

Case MSCXXXXX, Form I-485, A# , DOB filed by Mr.

A review of our systems shows the above cases were both received on 8/6/14. We received biometrics for both applicants on 9/12/14 and their cases are currently pending together at the NBC. Due to that fact that your constituents entered the U.S. as a K1 and K2 on a fiancée visa and they are applying for adjustment of status under fiancée adjustment, their cases have been identified as possible interview waiver cases and are currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices for adjudication based on field office capacity and not necessarily office of jurisdiction. The current processing time for I-485 interview waiver cases is approximately 12 months from the receipt date. Once further action is taken on this case notice will be sent to the address of record.

I hope this information is helpful.

If I may be of assistance to you with another federal matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    LOIS CAPPS

    Member of Congress

Looks like it's official: both K1 AND K2 are NPIW cases. I got a follow up email from someone in the office who said, "if you don't hear back from USCIS by September, 2015, give us a call." I sincerely hope it doesn't take that long!!! I wish this was an April Fool's joke.

The last 5 lines in your paragraph is the same as what I got from my senator, except they said 12 months or more for mine. I know this is because I'm going to meet 12 months next week, they are not dare enough to say 12 months.

  10. Bet you felt special!! SMH (shake my head).

Hope you have contacted your congressman and ombudsman, hope you throw the book at them, oh and don't forget an info pass, if nothing else it will give them a headache and let them know you're not going down without a fight!!!

    Thank you Shell20,

I did everything, contacting congressman and ombudsman. Info pass is what I'm thinking about. I feel like I may have to wait until they decide to touch my case when I have luck. From the answer of my senator's respond, it looks like my case has not been assigned to any officer yet and nothing they can help me about that. I tell myself not to expect for any update recently. However, I will not give up LOL

wish you all the best :)

  11. Just called Tier 2 and asked why I still didn't get decision (as last time they told me I'll get decision in march)

The answer is "we are sorry" and I have to wait forever........no time frame for my application

I asked when should I expect to call back to follow up with my case again? she said "whenever you want" :o

Now, I realized that tier 2 is helpless and will never call again.

  12. I received an email this morning from my Senator.

Thank you for contacting my office for assistance. The officials at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently provided me with an interim report on your pending case. An officer of the agency informed a member of my staff that your I-485 application is with an adjudicating officer and is pending completion of review. The officer further advised that you should receive a decision within 30-45 days. My office will contact you when I receive any updates regarding your case. If you do not receive a decision by April 30, 2015, please get us a call.

Congratulations! You got an approval faster than Senator's expectation.

  13. Well isnt that just Dandy! It sounds like the same type of letter that they send to us. So they use the same letters for U.S. Senators? Huh, ok then.

Yes, that's too bad. This seems like my case is still pending at NBC and not yet transferred to any field office so far. This made me so disappointed. Even some of us whose case get transferred still not heard any news. What about me?

  14. This is what I just got reply back from my senator --> it's the reply she received from NBC about my case:

After a review of our systems it was found that case MSC1490878xxx, Form 1-485 received 04/04/2014 for xxx xxxx has been identified as a possible interview waiver case and is currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USC'S field offices based on field office capacity. At this time the processing time is approximately 9-12 months or more. Because these cases potentially do not require an interview, they are being sent to field offices based on their capacity to adjudicate the cases, not necessarily the field office that is closest to the applicant.

The decision to waive the interview for certain cases is based on standards set at the national level. The standards include adjustment categories in which there is normally enough evidence included with the case to make an adjudicative decision without an interview. The adjudicative office takes into account these standards, as well as the specific situation of each applicant, on a case by case basis, to determine whether the interview may be waived.
