  1. Pah - you're all starters

We first had a relationship 33 years ago <gulp> at college. Took up where we left off in 2008 so to speak. What I find a little sad is how fast the last 5 years has gone and therefore how keen we are to get this move done !

Same here! Didn't date, but were friends in University 30+ years ago, and ever since. Moved apart, married other people, got divorced, then reconnected with each other in 2009, discovering something that had perhaps been smouldering there all along. And I agree on how fast time passes now, and how anxious we are to finally get going on the next part of our lives. Good luck!

  2. I also got the exact same reply from him. I think we all should think as positive as possible because thinking negatively just leads everyone to frustration, sadness, and pain. As glenmar said, the last time he responded to us he said that they would be realigning resources to work on I-129F visa petitions, and look, they actually did! Even though the cases were from the wrong months, the amount of approvals we have seen since April 8th is the most we have seen in a very very long time, which is a great sign that they are actually moving again. Now we can wait to see if he is right in his news that they should be "back on track starting today (April 16th)." And as a side note, after seeing how negative and pessimistic everyone has been on here because of these issues, I hope to see a whole lot of happiness and celebration once we do receive our NOA2's! :)

I agree. this is a hopeful sign.

  3. I think you'll have to have a case number (from the NVC) before you can book med exam (which will have to be at a specific doctor's), but you could get going on the police check as sometimes it takes a bit of time to get it (but also bearing in mind that the police check, once you get it, is only good for a period of time--could be one year, but might be different for Fiji). You'll also need a police check from any country the beneficiary has LIVED in since the age of 16.

  4. My fiancé Allen lives in Wyoming and I live in Ontario, Canada. We are applying for a visa for me to go and live with him in Wyoming. When my fiancé filed the petition I was living in my home until it sold. When it sold, I moved to another place and told the post office to reroute my mail there. Now, I found out that the rental place is selling and I will have to move again, and again have my mail rerouted to another address.

My question is.....immigration knows my address where I was, but doesn't know my address where I am now, and if the visa doesn't come in soon, they don't know the address where I will be. Is letting the post office reroute my mail enough?? Or is there somewhere I can contact to let immigration know where I am, and then call them again to let them know where I will be??

I hope this is detailed enough. People have told me to change the address on line, but the change of address form is only for Americans, and also for when I move there to change my address.

Also, does a FedEx, or UPS truck deliver the forms from immigration, or does it come through the mail?? I'm not at the address that they know, and I am so afraid of it being sent back....I've already waited 7 months. Please, any answers would be helpful. Thank you. Karin

I have the same issue. I've been moving every couple of months. You won't be getting any mail until you get the packet 3 from the embassy/consulate. Once you get the NOA2, they'll send your case to the NVC and you can call them to get your case number. Then you can call the consulate and give them your case number and your new address (and also ask them to email your packet 3, so you can get going on it).

  5. Hello my case is we filed K1 visa when i was working overseas but in some changed of plans i moved back to my homeland so all the address i filled up was my address overseas.

Is anybody know how i can change it to my address now? Is it me ( the beneficiary ) to change it or is it my fiancee ( the petitioner )?

He called USCIS already and was told that it should be me to change it here in US Embassy in Philippines but when i called them same thing they told me that it should be my fiancee so i told him that. then again he called and got the same line that it should be me...sigh..I am about to call them again today...

Please help...One more thing who do receive the NOA2? is it the petitioner or the beneficiary? Because this is our worried now that if its me to recieve that then they might send it to my old address overseas :( :(

    Thank you guys.

I am a beneficiary in the same situation as you. The petitioner will receive the NOA2, so that's no problem. My plan is to wait until my case gets to the NVC (after the NOA2) and I can get my case number from them. Then I'll contact the embassy where my case will be going next, give my case number, and tell them my new address (along with requesting that they send me the packet 3 via email).
