  1. Well I haven't been posting everything because it's been such a comedy with them. First they "lost" our file between the USCIS and NVC and lied to us and the Congressional staffer about what happened to it (it turned out it got shipped to the National Benefits Center instead of the National Visa Center and had to be retrieved). Then they gave us a case number at the wrong consulate because some jobsworth thought Northern Ireland wasn't in the UK despire my husband having written UNITED KINGDOM in block capitals in his address. That took time to resolve. Then I was evidently among the first to help them "troubleshoot" the payment portal errors. Then I was given wrong advice about what to include in the AOS packet (at least that got approved, but if I wasn't on this site I wouldn't know what to send my husband to take to the interview). Then someone put on our file at the NVC that we were submitting a DS-260 instead of a DS-230, and it took three calls to get that sorted. On the 23rd, we got a fake checklist by e-mail for the IV package (they had actually received it that day but we know they hadn't reviewed it yet). Now today we received ANOTHER false checklist for no reason. The NVC guy I spoke to told me that nothing is apparently wrong and the IV package has not yet been reviewed and he didn't know why we got two false checklists.

ranting33va.gif WOW I feel for you speedwell, I hope things will go smoother for you now! Hang in there!

  2. what edition to complete ? Affidavit of support previous edition ? or the new one posted on 03/22/2013

USCIS will accept previous editions dated 09/19/11 until June 23, 2013. After June 23, 2013, USCIS will only accept the 03/22/13 edition.

can someone plz tell me if there is any difference in content between these 2 editions ?

    thank you

I played it safe and filled out the new form, hate to come all this way and get a RFE, I just sent our out today!! Good luck on your journeygood.gifgood.gif

  3. I tried to put my case number and invoice number in tonight and kept telling me number does not exist, worked fine this morning, ClockWatch2.gif I know other people have had this problem also, glitch in the system?

actually I take that back, it says I can't make a payment at this time? Maybe updating?

  4. Sending the ds3032 will not affect your AOS invoice but it will for your IV package.

I received my IINs last Monday, was able to log on Thursday, but only 2 cas out of 3 are linked. So I ve got to wait longer until all this is solved!

May I ask, Did you email the ds-3032 as soon as you got your numbers?

im in the same boat as you hilario.. seems like the online payment is not working as of the moment for me. and the ds-3032 was already sent

I will update my status here if the AOS invoice shows up! Hope you do the same! Good Luck in your journey!

  5. I noticed on your timeline the beneficiary has not sent the NVC the DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent. If i remember correctly you will not receive anything asking for AOS payment until after the beneficiary has sent in, and the NVC receives, the DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent.

Yah she emailed the ds-3032 Friday night maybe its too early yet dunno.

  6. The lingChe shortcut is designed for China which is a voluntary EP country and also has some different things you should follow.

Aka for China I have read you should fill out the ds-3032, scan and attach it as an email at a certain time. Look up member Darnell if you need help with it. He has a wiki about electronic processing. If your country does not do EP then don't attempt to do it. I'm on my tablet and can't tell ATM, sorry.

Also remember there are two different tracks at the NVC. The IV track and the AOS track. The ds-3032 is part of the IV track. It should be emailed from the beneficiary NOT the petitioner so if it is printed off and signed, it MUST be signed by the beneficiary. These two tracks operate independently of each other but both are required for a case complete and interview date.

NikiR thank you so much for the reply, yes she emailed the ds-3032 (she being my wife the beneficiary from the Philippines) she emailed last night using the email template off the guides. I did not get a email confirmation of the case number and invoice number but recieved them by calling nvc and getting them from the operator.

  7. I received our NOA2 on April 18. I started calling the NVC daily only 2 business days later (yeah, I'm antsy). On the 6th business day, the 8th calendar day, I received the case number for Manila, our embassy.

If you are in a county where having the embassy case number can get you moving, as it does in the Philippines, the process can be pretty fast.

    Good luck to everyone.

Question, Did you email your ds-3032 already? We just received our case and invoice numbers also.

  8. I just recieved the case number and invoice number today when calling NVC, but AOS not invoiced, whats my next step? Email ds-3032 I think? :help: and if so then wait for the invoice of AOS so I can pay it online?

Attempts to mail or email DS-3032 before it's been generated are useless. It's like trying to pay a water bill for a house that hasn't been built yet.

This comment off of Ling Che shortcut so I am a bit confused on it being generated??

  9. Got the approval on 12th,April,2013...called NVC today they received the letter from USCIS on 20th,April, waiting for case number. Can anyone give me some idea when will I get the case number?or receive the package?

We got our NOA2 April 5th, I called today and they gave me the case number and invoice number, took exactly 10 business days for us.

Good luck on your journey!
