It does get me down too. But there's no use thinking about it so much since stressing over it with my CSC woes will just make me go insane. ) Since he doesn't like dwelling on the depressing stuff too much, he calms me down and we talk about our plans on what we'd do when we're finally done; lke finding a nice apartment for us when I'm finally there.

Finally! Happy to see a CSC approval! Congratulations!

Well I've decided to make use of all this time by getting fit. Fiance is like stick thin & I'm.. not. I've been making progress there! I just wish that this Visa thing was something I could actively do something about as well.
I am getting antsy waiting for those October approvals from VSC. I check the timelines at least 3 times a day normally, but lately it's more like 7. It'll be soon, though!
I'm happy that people who have been waiting since June/July/August are being approved. I didn't realize there were so many left. c:
Ha! So am I. Been putting work out apps and stuff on my phone. Better this than worrying so much about our petitions. I'm glad VSC's been very active but dear lord, I hope CSC picks up.

Gosh, I can relate to how your fiance feels.
Mine said the only reason he takes the long hours of work is only to pass time untill I get home.
But then again trying to be busy with works and other things adds more stress in our life.
The positive side we learn is how good we are handling this as an individual and also as a team.
And that really make us proud.
So yea, we just have to stay strong not only for us but also for our man eh?.
I couldn't agree more. No use stressing ourselves out. I just keep reminding myself that we are halfway there. Still, there are days when I get annoyed of not being with him.

My fiance and I have been patient all this time but I think his is running low. He'll be calling CSV when April comes if we still have receives any update on our case. I'm just glad I'm pre-occupied with the busy months at work.
-
Aww. Congrats! Wish my fiance and I could be with each other to by the time we hit our 2nd anniversary.

We are part of the November 2012 filers. I'm pretty sure it's the same average 5-8 months of waiting for every country. From what I've read on some of the posts during my last lurk here, I think they're still caught up with the July paperwork. That might've changed though.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. I'm hoping ours get approved sometime in April or May.

Welcome to VJ, Shannon! I agree with you. Before I joined this forum, I was nervous and worried about the petition, fearing that it won't work or we'd get denied. I hope you'll enjoy staying here and that we'd get to be with our SO soon!

hey friends, I'm an early Novemeber filer. According to this site http://tom.ae/igor_completeness.php 0% of November filers have been approved, yet December is nearly at 10% completion.
That's a bummer if it were true. But let's just keep thinking positive. We all know we're halfway there.

Thank you for the warm welcome. <3
My fiance sent me one of his t-shirts. While slightly creepy, it smells like him and it kind of helps. He also sent me a bunch of chocolate. I'm probably going to gain 5lbs, so that'll give me something to do.
Not creepy at all. Mine sent me his favorite hoodie and I've had it for about about a year now. I use it as a small blanket sometimes and I wore it during the cold nights. It helps a lot especially when I'm in one of those annoying mood swings. >.< Never knew cuddling a piece of clothing will help me release a lot of tension when it comes to problems and stress at work.

Hey everyone. Joining you guys! We got our NOA1 on November 8 and so far we've been keeping ourselves busy with work and talking to each other at least once a day.

It should just cost around P300-400 at most if you make sure the meter's running. Otherwise, a taxi driver would charge you for a higher price; about P500-700.

Thanks louiep, toastedpancake, and Leatherneck. And yes, i should relax and just enjoy the waiting game for now. He said he checked on the status when we were chatting on skype and says ours was transferred to the CSC now.

Thank you! I will start reading on all the information one at a time and I will do a timeline about our application. I would have to ask him for the dates though.

Hi everyone! Finally got the time to register as a new member and told my fiance about this. It might be a good support group for me to quit my worrying over our application.
We just got engaged last month during his last visit, but before that we were friends for a pretty long time. I'm 26 and living in the Philippines while he's 24 living in Missouri, USA. He had the application mailed around November and told me that the paperwork should be in the process of delivering it to the US Embassy in my country and he has gotten the NOA documents prior to that. I don't know the exact dates though.
Looking forward to meeting all of you guys!
