  1. I haven't been through UAE...yet. Fiance is moving there in a few days for work. I have seen all across the board that the CO has the power to, and very often does require the co-sponsor to meet 125%. I think as long as it is above 125% is all that matters; yes being at the same job 20yr is a plus because if the person has stayed 20yr then they most likely won't be leaving that job and keeping that same income level needed to sponsor.

By the way, talk about a lack of VJers listing UAE or so I noticed.

I have looked for so much help from UAE members and no one hardly ever answers....My fiance's interview is next sunday, sept 29, and i am flying to Dubai this wednesday, im so nervous and excited, i hope we get approved....

    Thanks for the reply!!!!!

  2. Hi!

I have a few questions about the form I-134 that i need some answers for--

    1) on the bottom of the 134 there is the Oath and there are 2 lines there, is the first line for my initials and then the bottom line is for my signature and date??

    2) and i'm currently unemployed and have a co-sponsor...do i just put unemployed and then submit nothing for my evidence as i do not have any assets or resources to show at this time?

    3) for my co-sponsors evidence will just copies of the bank statements be enough or do they really need to come from a bank officer? and does my sponsor even have to submit bank statements as they have enough income to show from their job?

We were expecting a wait time of about 3 months for our interview but when we got our case number we got a surprise with our interview in just 1 month(Sept 29) so we are not as prepared with the short time frame. I'm really hoping that we get approved as i am going to own a store in the next month and i could have showed that as some income. As it is now, i have no income to show and found a sponsor who makes just a couple thousand over the poverty level.

Any experience with this kind of situation or any advice to offer me???

    Thank you

  3. Hi, my fiance went to a clinic in abu dhabi for his medical and he said it cost almost $500 US dollars...he had to get a couple vaccinations also. He said rather than go and try to find the cheap clinics he just had them do it in the office at the same time.....

Sorry that i can't help you more with that.

I see your interview is Oct 4, ours is Sept 29.

Will you be going to the interview? i am flying next week to go to the interview.

    Good luck to you!!!!

  4. if your fiancée has funds that are convertible to US$'s, his money can be used in support of your 134

not sure how to fill out the 134 for this.. other members had a situation like that and were told they have to present the beneficiary's assets at the interview

thats very interesting...............i guess we could just take statements of the money to interview and see if they will accept them.

Do you know anyhting about the form 134......question 11........i have read that people do not answer this and just put "K-1 Visa" on the line below it, do you kn ow if that is the correct thing to do?

  5. Im trying to find a UAE petitioner that has had an interview with a sponsor and had just barely the 125% income............Im just wondering if the officer at time of the interview accepted 125% or if they went with 100% of the poverty level...

Our sponsor backed out last week and our interview is Sept 29, so now we are scrambling to get another sponsor.....we found one, but the income level is just barely 125%...this sponsor that we found now has had the same job for more than 20 years, will that be a plus in determination of pass ordenial?

Anyone with experience in this any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just dont want to get denied after all this waiting and the unfortunate event of losing our very good sponsor.

    Thanks

  6. its pretty much embassy specific

100% is the 134 guideline yes, but the 864 which will get filed at AOS is 125%

regardless, you will need the 125% eventually.

what happens at your embassy? you have to find a k1 who went through it with the similar situation

But after my fiance gets here we will be able to use his money for the 864..........but now we can only use my and the sponsors money.....so the 125% later does not mean anything to us, as we will have well over the 125% for the 864.

So, basically you are telling me that the embassy officer is the decider in whether or not to giving the visa in regards to the 134??

  7. Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited to have our interview in Dubai on Sept. 29, but i have a question concerning the I-134 and the poverty guideline level....

I was reading here in the forums that for the 134 you only need to show 100% of poverty level, but for the 864 it is 125%, can anyone verify the correct minimum amount for the I-134 with 2 people for the showing on the affidavit??

I'd appreciate a quick response as we do not have much time before the interview.

You see, our original sponsor backed out just last week(had no problem showing much more than the poverty level), now we have found another sponsor but the poverty level is an issue, as it will be very close to the minimum(if it is the 125%).

Any help would be appreciated...Thanks in advance.

  8. Great! unsure.png It sucks that there is no way to check the procesing time for I 129 once it's there. We just got the message that they received our evidence from the RFE today sooooooo.......we shall wait some more!!!

My approval came just 4 days after they received my response......and mine was at Texas also............Good luck

  9. Need case number to pay fees at embassy, also to schedule medical.. You can call to get number faster. It takes 8 days to get number from time TSC or other service center sends case to NVC.

    NVC phone number is 603-334-0700

    DOS "" " 202-663-1225

  10. Hi! I finally got our NOA2 on july 23, 2013, and now i am waiting for our case number.........i realize that UAE schedules interviews for 2 to 3 months ahead. My question is does Abu Dhabi accept co-sponsors???

If so, do i need to fill out the I-134 as well as the co-sponsor(my own form, of course)???

If anyone can answer these questions i sure would appreciate the info.......i really have more questions but i need these 2 answered first.....

    Humbly,

    Carol

  11. I'm confused. Where did it go? This is the opening sentence to my email.

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

all cases get sent to Texas then from there it goes to vermont or California, depending on where you live. You will get in the mail a letter(NOA1) which will tell you where it was sent to for processing. this receipt # will allow you to go to www.uscis.gov and check on the status of your case.

  12. Just filed actually and sent to TSC. Are they moving pretty quickly? 5 months ish?

Well, you sent it to TSC, but it will be sent to either vermont or california.........then you wait for approval or RFE. Good luck!!!!

my own humble "journey" got approved on day 208, and that was july 23, 2013 out of texas, after being transferred there from vermont in may.

  13. stay on top of the USCIS. We were approved on June 26th and we just got our embassy case number because they waited 3 weeks to send the petition to the NVC!

Thanks for the heads-up...I already have my Congressman sending many letters to USCIS/TSC on my behalf.
