It's been over 20 a day recently for I-129F petitions, which is unusually/absurdly fast. VJ members only represent about 5-10% of all applicants per visa class, remember. Just a few weeks ago, we had 0 approvals per day for many many days (less approvals per month January-March than per day for the last week). At this rate, I've calculated that December should be roughly finished up in about 2.6 weeks, which means CSC will be operating within their 5 month timeframe again. If the current rate continues, of course.
Once the backlog is clear, CSC approvals will most likely drop again to a steady rate to keep in line with the 5 month goal.

I'm failing to see what is productive about this thread any longer. It has simply become a CSC v. VSC. Guess what! Nobody gets a say in which service center they get sent to or how long they will have to wait. This community is supposed to be supportive, not a competition between who has it worst.

Definitely alarming that a teacher would force students to write out that mantra. Students, especially at such a young age, should be provided with an unbiased education - not force-fed the opinions and beliefs of anyone else whether it is a parent or a teacher. Let them learn the facts, experience the world, and come to their own conclusions.

The DACAs and such were transferred to Texas, not VSC, and was explained in the news releases. The slowdown at VSC is probably due to reallocation of their resources within the center itself as Vermont already processes their own share of DACA and other applications.
There has been no report of workload transfer from CSC to VSC.

I think it's safe to assume that CSC will start slowing down again. Hopefully not to the stand-still it was at for over three months, but probably back to a "normal" processing rate of 5 months. As long as they're int he 5 month range, they have no motivation to continue supplying so much labor to I-129Fs when they have other visa types to handle.
I've posted calculations on other threads, but if CSC keeps up at the current rate of approvals, they'll be done with December in about 2.6 weeks. If they slow down to a more "normal" rate this week, they'll be done with December in about 6 weeks. Both would be putting CSC back in the approximately 5 month goal.
Don't be too disheartened, though. VSC filers are LUCKY if they are approved under 6 months even in "normal" periods.

I find it interesting that a country that roared for the "freedom of religion" campaign in its constitution, and claims to exercise "separation of church and state", relies as heavily as it does on religion for political decisions.

No, you got to shut those greedy bastards that pizz on their neighbors down. You don't have to inspect often (would take a lot of personnell to do that) but when you do and you find egregious violations, you shut the business down, seize the profits to compensate the staff for their lost jobs and lock up the folks responsible. You set a few such examples and regulations will be followed. Simple as that.

Are we going to have one of these posts every day now? CSC approving 14 is still VERY fast (and they approved more than that, btw). Let's just try to be relieved that they are finally moving at all and hope that VSC hasn't entered the dangerous slowdown that the CSC did.

I think we should pass laws that require car sales to be recorded, cars to be registered and, for good measure, require those that operate cars to carry insurance that coveres damage they may do with their cars. Oh, wait...

Everything was better in the '50s when segregation existed, homosexuals were killed or forced into hiding, women were being domestically abused at alarming rates (and couldn't have a credit card), and lead was used to paint nurseries and children toys.

The laws I live by are actually quite alright for me. There aren't many laws the disable me from being able to do what I personally want to do. The problem is when you get laws like DOMA, which make it impossible for others to do what they want, with no valid, logical reason. I'm using that because it's an easy example, but I have come across other laws which made no sense, and hope that they are struck down (which they eventually tend to be.)
When you look in other countries, it is much worse. Many people are put to death for doing things that can only be described as religious crimes, particularly in the conservative Islamic countries.
