  1. Just wondering if anyone can find the music USCIS uses when you are placed on hold? I imagine it is provided my the telecommunications company they use, so if anyone knows that information, that would help me find it as well.

    Thanks

  2. Today we had our interview. I just wanted to share my experience. The interview was for my wife and my daughter. We were scheduled for 8am, and we arrived at 7:30am. They hadn't opened the doors yet, so we waited in line with the others who came early as well. When the security guards opened the doors we walked through without any problems. We sat down until the officers opened their windows. When they opened the windows every went up to turn in their appointment letters.

We were called for our interview about 5 minutes later. This office has always been very quick and on time. The lady was very nice, she seemed like she really enjoyed her job. I was glad we had her. She began with the oath. My daughter didn't have to give the oath, understandably. Before I begin, let me explain that my wife just had our second child last week. She recovered nicely, but she said we weren't going to miss this interview, so a friend came along to help with the baby. Our baby came 3 weeks early. It was a shock, but we are glad it happned this way. So, after our oath we sat down, and she asked us about our baby, she just metioned you guys could have called and rescheduled the interview. We both were like yeah right. We weren't rescheduling anything the USCIS arranges for us. She then went through my wife's application and said I will then go over your daughters. She asked very basic questions. Name, Address, etc. Then did the same for me, and then with our daughter. Then she asked my wife the yes or no questions which were on the application to adjust status. She asked 3 of the 20 or however many there were. Then she asked me if I had a letter from my current employer which I did, then she wanted W2's, Taxes, and Paystubs, which I gave her. She then asked for proof of relationship stuff, I gave her utility bills, insurance papers, house information, bank statements, and letters from friends. She said I just want to make a copy of these. Before she left she said I am going to approve your case. We were very happy, I am wondering how most people react when this happens? We didn't get up and start jumping up and down, but we looked at each other and said "that's great" or something cheesy like that. How do most of you react? Anyway she left and then came back and stamped the passport of my wife and daughter. Then said the cards will arrive in 2-3 weeks. She also said that we were on conditional basis, due to being married. Two years to protect them and us from marriage fraud. No complaints here though. She said congratulations, we all shook hands and said thank you for your time, and she walked us to the door. That was it.

Thanks to everyone who helped with my questions.
