Yes, you can follow the thread.
Thanks! -
Nothing happens... You will continue to be a US Citizen and you are expected to pay/file taxes at the every year as though you are living in the United States. if you choose to renounce your citizenship, then you are required to file a form with the US Embassy closest to you. I hope this helps

Welcome to another monthly thread for those filling for I-130.
We can all we can stay in touch by providing progress on our individual cases as it comes.
-
Hello Y'all,
Just wanted to start a topic for January 2023 filers. Provide your updates here and let's track our progress together
-
Pay no attention to that section. The first time it happened to us, I wondered about it too, so I called USCIS and they said it is not an accurate measure of processing times for case.
-
your best bet is to reach out to immigration attorney, since this is a complicated issue. The opinions found on this forum are that of individual applicants just like yourself.
PS:You can also request an infopass to your local immigration office and inquire.

My mother was scheduled for and attended her interview two weeks ago..... well she was granted the visa. So excited!!!!.
-
My mother's case was completed April 28th and judging from what you guys are saying, I will really not hear anything for like another month and half. The embassy must be under a lot of pressure due to volume or something. We've waited till now so no fears!
-
My wife's interview was this morning and she is APPROVED!
Thank you to everyone for the guidance and help!!
Congratulations to both of you...
-
Doing a happy dance!!! Interview scheduled today!!! JUNE 25th!!!
Congratulations....
It feels good to have an interview date isn't it? I can relate to your joy
-
am getting the date on Wednesday.. am just confused..lol ok what are the other paper works for the tax returns ? we have w2 now
You will need your pay stub, W2, Tax Returns with all the Work Schedules. And you will be needing the 2013 Tax information.
PS: if you have the Tax transcripts, that will be the only thing you will need.
-
Case Number Assigned ............. :D
congrats.... now prepare all your documents and also your fees so that you can zap through the NVC process.
-
When you decide to use Tax Transcripts, you will not need the W2. But if you choose to use the Tax Returns, then you will need the W2, and all the work schedule for the Tax returns.
BTW, when is your interview?
-
I would put the house that you currently have and if it changes, the immigrant can update it at interview or POE.
I agree with what you said... it will be better to update your address latter on
-
Guys please hung in there... your approvals are coming quickly
-
There are people with PDs after mine who have interviews before mine. Maybe it's not supposed to work that way, but I'm sure it's an imperfect process.
At the NVC they schedule interviews based on the time you had case complete.(This is for IR1/CR1).
I don't know about the others
-
Sadly, no, not everyone fills out the form to be added/updated on the spreadsheet.
lol I'm a prime example I found it to be a lot of paperwork
But seriously I'll fill it out

Is there any easier and faster way to print chatlogs and emails? We chat everyday and exchange emails too. We use yahoomesenger. Its very difficult to have it one by one and paste it in microsoft words. I think it will consume all my time. Any ideas?
Do a screen capture as oppose to copying to MS word. why? screen capture looks more legit this is my opinion though
-
Yeaaayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to both of you.
-
So finally my case status was updated!! yaaay!!!
The status show READY :joy:PS: I promised the NVC not to call them again once they gave me a an interview in June.... well they did.- STACEY&MISHO and JeffInMX

How long after submitting document for checklist does NVC take to add it to the case? They received document on April 23..
Husband sent PCC from India today, it should arrive at NVC BY THURSDAY or FRiday.. What's the chance well get a case complete?
It usually takes two weeks for them to review your document after they have received it.

Hubby's interview is in 3 hours.. OMG!!!! Sooooo excited
All the best to the two of you.... let us know how it turned out
