  1. Customer Service Representatives are available to respond to case inquiries.

    Telephone number: (603) 334-0700

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

YES, that is the phone number I keep calling but says it's busy and hangs up om me. No Call holding and wait in line, Just hangs up saying too busy.

  2. You don't need to send the I-129f package to your fiancée but if you the USC is a divorcee I would strongly suggest to scan your divorce papers to you fiancée, she can print it out so she can read the papers and have a copy when she will attend the CFO seminar. Tell her to bring photos of you together, with her family especially with her children and you during the USEM interview.

Yes! Very good advice and I planned on sending all of the items and them some. Of course my I-134 will be Fed ex too with lots of supporting docs and probably way more than needed.

    Thanks again.

  3. Thanks again for everyone's help on trying to figure out the best way to plan the stay in Manila. I'm most troubled by Hanks real life response that it may take up to 2 weeks before we can get Visa and go to get CFO sticker. Sorry but a Girl and two young kids just can't fly back to Manila or Cebu before departure to USA for the sticker so we may have to arrange a CFO sticker on visa at departure. ARGG...Not all of our loved ones live in close by to Manila.

Question to Hank and all, If after Visa approval from Embassy, Can the Passports of the Fiance and children be securely sent to CFO office for sticker and pay for the return of the visa's to the Fiance? Much cheaper than plane tickets and hotel stay.

    Any advice?

Thank you for your reply but I'm a bit confused as I need our K1 Post NOA2 MNL# so I have been calling NVC at the same number you posted. You have posted a Dept. of Health #? What? lol.

sorry but is the Dept of Health the appropriate number to retrieve our MNL# for K1 Post NOA2>

Thanks again for any advice you can give us.

  5. Such great info from all of you!

So we thought right and will plan a 14 day stay with brother to watch over his sister and kids for two weeks. Her Brother is such a good guy and admits he mostly wants to go because he has never been on an airplane and to Manila. LOL.

We plan for her to do Medical 2days then CFO while waiting around 5-7 days for embassy interview. Typically how long if she waited to get Visa back from embassy so she could get CFO stamp too? Although Davenroxy stated she can get the stamps on departure at airport in Manila I'm assuming.

Last thing, Hank, You stated no reason to send her the full copy of the I-129F yet the VJ guides states this right under the AFter NOA2 guide. Is there any part at all she may need like our meeting receipts, hotel pics of meeting???

    Thanks again to all!

    Brad

  6. Hello Hank,

I see the issues with trying to pay the Visa fee's so she will have to do that and I will just xoom the money to her. Since I'm making the travel and hotel arrangements for her, the 2 kids, and her Brother to keep them all safe in Manila, I would also like to set the Embassy appointment.

So my next question is, Do I set the embassy appt, then the med since embassy appt seem to be hard to get lately. She is traveling from Zamboanga so multiple trips with 2 young kids to Manila is what we want to avoid. I would prefer to have them stay 14 days so the Medical, CFO, Interview, and hopefully back to CFO for sticker. Is this wishful thinking?

    Thanks!

  7. Received an email from NVC again this morning stating:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has not yet received this petition from

U.S. Citizenship Immigration Service (USCIS). Please allow at least

eight weeks from the date that your petition was approved, for your

petition to be received at the NVC.

*sigh* it's our 3rd week now grrrrr!

We were approved NOA2 Aug 14th so 1 day later than you. I too emailed NVC 10 days later with all correct info in email and received an email reply from NVC last week with exact same message. This morning I resent the email as Hank's guide states this reply from NVC could be very useful once we finally get the MNL#. I hear I should also be looking back at the USCIS site with our WAC# to change from Approval to SENT to NVC so I'm also doing that. If you have any other ways for us to get our MNL# or find if our file is moving? please let me know.

    Thanks so much!

  8. By reply I was referring to getting an email with your MNL # , once NVC gets your file from USCIS it will then get the MNL # affixed, do one more review (believe it or not) and then pack it up for shipping to USEM. I called NVC to get my MNL # about 2 weeks after getting the NOA2, then I emailed them, first reply was telling me to include the information I note in my list, so I included that, then they sent an email with the MNL #. Even though I had called and got the number I wanted something in writing from them.

    Good luck

    Thanks Hank,

I resent my Email again this morning with all required info in the email that NVC asked for as you state in your guide, I would like that email of confirmation and I think your guide is so helpful. I just found it strange to get a reply from NVC that it didn't have the file as I thought they wouldn't reply until then. I'll just keep trying :-)

    Thanks again Hank.

  9. So are we back to checking USCIS with our NOA1 number to see if our file has been sent to NVC after NOA2 approval?

Things seem to be changing and now a new normal is being created. ARGG!! But we are being patient and still feel blessed as we planed for 5-6 month before NOA2. Easy to get anxious and greedy for fast service after being approved 1-2 months earlier than we, USCIS or the VJ site had expected.

  10. It quite often takes a couple weeks for your file (along with hundreds of others) to be forwarded to NVC. Then after NVC gets your file, requests the MNL # and get its affixed to your file and finally ships it to USEM it could be a few more weeks. Now with three service centers running NVC seems to be taking a mite longer at times.

You could send and email to NVC requesting your MNL #, info in the link below. NVC won't reply to the email until your file has finally shipped to the embassy.

Or try tracking on the CEAC website.

Hello Hank, I follow your guides for all info I need so thought I would update you. You stated, "NVC won't reply to the email until your file has finally shipped to the embassy."

That no longer seems true as our NOA2 was Aug 14th and after reading your Phil-Guide post NOA2 I emailed NVC and received this email in reply 2 weeks later:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of receiving your

petition. If your petition was approved more than 8 weeks ago, please

email a scanned copy of your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval

Notice to NVCResearch@state.gov. Please type the receipt number in the

subject line of your email and include one attachment/case per email. We

will contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on your

    behalf to locate your petition.

If you received the form I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval

Notice indicating that your petition has been retained by USCIS, or

another type of the Notice of Action that is not an Approval notice,

please contact USCIS at 800-375-5283 or visit their web site at

    www.uscis.gov for additional information.

  11. Still nothing. September 10th marks 5 months of waiting so I will be calling customer service. Does anyone know if changing the adress put us at the end of the line again? ( that would explain a lot since it seems everyone around our NOA1 date is talking about NVC, DOS and Embassy already.

For the record, this is what the USCIS case status update shows:

    Initial Review

On July 29, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

    Apr 4 2013 - I129-F Received by USCIS (VSC)

    Apr 10 2013 - NOA1

Jul 10 2013 - Case transferred to 'local office'

Jul 13 2013 - Petition being processed at TSC

    Jul 29 2013 - Address changed

I had changed our address and it did not affect us.

  12. Just wondering if anyone elses NOA2 said they've been sent to the US Embassy and to contact the consulate about further questions regarding our case... nothing about NVC or DOS...

Our NOA2 dated 8/14/2013 states it going to NVC and will process in 2-4 weeks. They will create a case# 'MNL' and then NVC will send to the embassy.

I emailed them 'NVC' as that is what was suggested for the MNL # and also so when I get an Email with my MNL# I will know when the case has been sent to the embassy. I know I can call now too for the MNL# if it has been created but again I was told to email NVC for a email/written doc that I can forward to my Fiance/Beneficiary to print out for the Embassy appointment. and also I will know when it was sent to embassy.

    Hope this helps.

  13. Received the NOA1 on April 25th, a week after we filed, and I've yet to hear anything. Our status says that my "alien fiancee's number has been changed" or something to that extent. I called and asked about it and they said it was a computer error and he's sent a request of inquiry, or something... I'm confused and also upset, it feels like something went wrong. Anyone else have to deal with this? Given, it's within the five month window on the USCIS site, but seeing people here getting theirs in 58 days doesn't make me too confident or happy. We are at the California service center.

    Hello agentoneal,

We were at CSC and a NOA1 date of April 24th. We were officially approved on August 14th but didn't change our online status until April 15th and that is when I found this out that we were approved. You are so right that timing means no sense and I wondered why others keep getting approved in front of us but then it happened. My VJ estimated timeline kept adjusting by about 7 days out but when it was 6 days out it happened in a few days. So ?? maybe keep an eye on that for a clue. If you are being worked on but they are looking for an RFE at least you will know you case is worked on.

I wish you the best and hope you see good news soon.

    Brad & Dale

  14. We were just approved for NOA2 on 8-14-13 under 4 months with CSC. I'm just feeling blessed so not expecting our papers are going to NVC within an expected time that we may have. I'm not going to get upset because of the days it takes when in the whole matter we where blessed with approval so what makes me demand it should be in a 2-3-4 weeks? I waited before and in Gods time it will happen. Choose your own way of thinking but that is mine and I hope we all get to where we want soon :-)

  15. Checked our USCIS status this morning and seen the Great News!!! dancin5hr.gif We were approved 08/14/2013. Called my Fiance and she was so happy and kept asking if I was sure it was approved so she also looked at USCIS to see. LOLrofl.gif

I know the road ahead may still have some bumps but we can do anything with determination, love, and God being with usyes.gif

Your I-129f was approved in 112 days from your NOA1 date.
  16. Hello Max4u,

I am with Penguin_ie advice in the part where she states you may get an RFE for an explanation on dates of marriage disillusion or final divorce and you discrepancies in your submitted I129F documentation. In my case I wanted to clearly define when me and my Ex Wife separated by date and when we were actually divorced by a court and Judge as it was a 2 year period. I do not think you should panic nor worry as it is all just mis understanding of what USCIS wanted for an answer and what you provided for an answer given what you thought was the answer for the time so you never lied nor misrepresented yourself if you can explain and prove which it sounds you can.

just my opinion but I feel ok telling you not to worry.

    Brad
