To my understanding, the only thing that matters is that you are married within 90 days of his arrival. Then you must file for an AOS before the K1 visa expires (which I believe is 90 days from his arrival.

Speaking of working on the 4th .... today we received an email saying that our EAD was approved.

Wow! On the 4th of July the last thing we expected was an email stating that my husbands EAD was approved on 7/3 and a card has been ordered.
This is great!
Happy 4th of July.

When my fiance (now husband) received his Biometric appointment, two letters were received. One for AOS and a seperate letter for EAD. Each letter had the same date but different appointment times.

Felshen ... not to take away from your moment of glory, but just wanted you to know that my husbands EAD was 'touched' on 7/2. Can you believe that?!?!? touched on a Sunday? hmmmmmmmm..... but anyway, I am grateful.

Yes! I own and operate a succesful business that I've worked hard to get started. In addition, I own real estate and stock. For me, the prenupital would have been something I would mandate regardless of whether he was a USC or not.

Awesome! I'm glad things are starting to move along.

First of all, I am sorry you and your friends are having to go through this hassel. My husband (fiance at the time) was initially told that he did not have sufficient evidence of our relationship. I already had a strange feeling that this would be an issue. So I immediately started doing 'little' things as it pertains to our communication.
#1) STOP using calling cards unless you know for sure you can track your calls. I mailed to my husband over $1500.00 worth of used calling cards. But according to the embassy, a calling card does not prove 'who' you talked to. So we signed up for www.pingo.com at now have a record of our calls made (the rate was even cheaper than a calling card)
#2) EMAIL, EMAIL, EMAIL! In the case of my husband and I, we communicated via phone 90% of the time. When my husband was told to come back with more information I literally stayed in front of the computer for hours printing out every single email between he and I, and even emails from friends that mentioned his name (do a word search in your email file for your husbands name).
#3) Ask friends and family members to write notarized letters stating that they know about your relationship and approve it as well.
#4) Submit Western Union receipts between the two of you
#5) Never give up! Coach your husband on his approach while in the embassy. Sound confident about your relationship, and assured that he knows that a visa will be issued. Be careful not to come across as cocky.
#6) Believe that the best will come forth. The mind is a powerful thing.
I wish you well!

My EAD & AOS was received April 18th. We received an appointment for the Biometrics 2 weeks later (although the A# was different on both the EAD and AOS receipt). So far we have heard nothing.

I have been watching this post for the past hour. I have the exact same question. Hopefully someone will give some feedback soon.

What does IMBRA mean? I read the link that was posted and never saw the definition for IMBRA. Thanks.

We live in S.C. , approximately 20 minutes from Charlotte, NC. We were told to go to Charlotte, NC to have our Biometrics done. Not Greer, SC or Charleston, SC as listed on USCIS's website. So when trying to follow up regarding when our EAD should be processed, do we go by the dates for Charlotte, NC (where the Biometrics was done), or Greer / Charleston, SC (based on the state we live in).
Thanks.
