    Hey guys,

    I was just reading this thread as we just got our NAO2 approved on Feb 10th. There is a lot of good information yet. It appears that most people here received their NOA2 around end of January.

    I was curious about when I should start calling NVC. The USCIS website still just says it was approved on Feb 10, and doesnt mention anything about being forwarded to NVC. I plan to call NVC this morning to see what the scoop is. Any thoughts?

    check my signature.... only a FEW "chosen ones" got their #'s quickly.

    i suggest you try calling after a week or two, but if you nothing to do, why not try idea9dv.gif

    Hi everyone, I'm new to visa journey. I hope you can advice me things that would alleviate my anxiety.

    We filed our petition last June of 2013 and We got our Noa2 on the October . We waited for the case no. till November and things starts to unraveled. Our place got hit of typhoon Yolanda so it delayed my processing. No electricity, telephone lines, transportation. Imagined the worst scenarios as you have seen on TV. So, me and my fiance never talked for almost a month like we did before. I didn't got our case no because I didn't have chance to call embassy, no signal and telephone lines, no interview schedule.I worry about my fiance knowing he was thinking about me or if I'm ok or alive. I love him so much and I want to be with him badly. So to cut this story short. I was pretty much in crisis( psychologically, emotionally) because of the experience. I have trauma that still awakens me everynight.

    But due to some therapies conducted here in Tacloban Im pretty much ok now. smile.png

    I got my case no. last January where things gone better here and talked to my fiance, I missed him a lot. I finished my medical in SaintLukes. My problem now is in my interview this March. I am worrying so much and paranoid. I slept almost 3am from reading visa journey post about interview. Again, I'm starting to become anxious. If I had the complete requirements etc. I have been reading a lot here about interview experiences. And it seems they got different requirements maybe because some forms is obsolete like Ds forms? And they will only ask for Ds 160 upon arrival. Is this correct? What are other requirements needed? I am now preparing, I just don't wanna miss something,

    You survived yolanda, you have complete requirements. sometimes reading too much stresses you more. every CO is different, plus the fact that youre a yolanda survivor, come to think of it. maybe its an edge for you......maybe the CO will just ask how you cope yolanda....think things the other way around. relax yourself.....

    Customs asking for deposit in their SMART BDO (split thread)

    Hi , My mom was supposed to received a package from US it has a wedding ring and a 42 LED tv. The customs are asking for 10,000 php to be deposited in their SMART BDO account. I wonder why they wanted it to be an electronic payment. I asked them to have the package forwarded here in cebu but they told us that if we don't pay them thru the account they provided we will no longer see the parcel. sad.png

    This is my first time to encounter such. Can you tell me how can I get the custom fees paid for? I tried doing the calculator that they have in the Bureaus site but it shouldn't cost more than 10,000.. How can I have the package from Manila forwarded to Cebu? and just have the custom fees paid here? I tried asking this to the scammer lady who supposedly works for custom but she said that the "agent" will only wait for the payment until 10PM today. This is really weird.

    better check with the courier you use sending in your package. didint you use door to door delivery?

    when my sister sent a figurine from japan, philpost issued us a notice to go to pasay philpost main office to pay the necesseary fees...they opened te package infront of us and saw that it was just a regular a not too expensive figurine so we didint pay any.

    just called NVC and got my case number, IIN and beneficiary id. the guy told me to wait (AGAIN?!) for 20 business days JUST TO get an email... sad.png

    please can anyone tell me what i can do now just to save time? all these waiting kills us already sad.png

    our ds261 became available 5working days after i got our case#'s, as for the email, i havent receive any yet but i'll fill out the ds261 anyway.

    K-1 fiancee visa schedule their own interviews. IR/CR-1 normally do not, NVC will schedule that and notify you. BUT if you have an EXPEDITE because of Yolanda NVC is skipping their processing and sending the files to Manila to complete the processing, and those IR/CR-1 are allowed to schedule their own interview dates.

    I got this today. I don't even have a A# because I am a citizen. Did anyone get this message when waiting for NOA2 or any idea what this means?

    I just hope this doesn't mean that my application somehow ended up in Permanent Resident applications.

    Update of the situation at NVC(after my husband called them yesterday):

    - USCIS said they sent the process to NVC on the 13th of January;

    -NVC said they had got the process on the 21st of January, but haven't enter it to the system yet, so no case number or IIN.

    Question: Should we call them everyday?

    you can call everyday if you want but for me,i usually read threads here and when i saw someone getting their numbers near our dates, thats when i call.

    My 20th day is tomorrow. Hoping for a # too! I didn't think it would take this long. At this rate we'll never make our 1 year anniversary. Sigh! I never thought this process would take OVER a year. I feel like crying. sad.png just having a bad day.

    i called them very early this morning 7am to be exact, no case number yet...cray5ol.gif

    so i tried...

    few minutes before 12mn,

    was able to get thru and WOOOTTT....WOOOTT!!!!!

    CASE NUMBER GIVEN !!!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif for all 3 cases

    too much excitement, i forgot to give our email address....

    was able to get thru again, but still cant accept our emails, still lock, still in process...call back again tomorrow

    And would I need to fill up my own w-7 or just sign the one he prepared?

    Is it possible to just print out a blank w-7 (or whatever document it is he's supposed to fill up for submission) and send to him to fill up instead of him mailing me what he has and mailing it back? Or there annotations or stamps or whatever that's already there that he'll need when filing?

    i suggest, ask your husband to tell his tax preparer all the documents you need to sign. it will be much easier. my husband does that. we went thru this ITIN stuff, he sends me all the documents needing my signature, fedex it back INCLUDING my passport, he showed it to H&R block preparer and thats it. got my ITIN and a few weeks later his refund.

    That I'm not sure of, I think they will also try to email you. Someone else may have a better response.

    Do you have a cell phone with data? There is an app called "Magic Jack" that you can download, and it let's you make free calls to US numbers. You should try that and call the NVC.

    thanks for your info regarding "magic jack". i downloaded it last month but wasn't able to use it not until just now, i finally figured out why.... - i kept dialling with "country code +area code +phone number" when it should only be "AREA CODE + PHONE NUMBER"

    ATTN: cases with minor children / philippines

    better check your kids immunizations record, i posted in the regional forum and got a reply stating that if your child lack one or more of the vaccines they will have their shot/s all in one day. theres a link in saylins post regarding the required vaccines... we may have overlooked this requiredment coz were busy chasing our case numbers.....
