  1. hello every one,

today we just pay the AOS fees and in the website it shows to " IN PROCESS" !!!!

now how much time it will takw to change the status in ti "PAID" ???

n no bar code sheet is generated in the system can any one say when it will appear after the payment???? i thinking once the 88$ debated from thre account we will sens the AOS packageto NVC so before this i will get the barcode sheet ???

    reply me

    than you in advance :)

once payment is made, document coversheet is automatically created. check in the receipt page.

you can send in your AOS package once your payment is debited in your account,

  2. husband sent AOS via certified mail, now my worry if they attempt to deliver it on a saturday and there's no one there to receive it? would NVC bother to pick it up at the post office? or USPS will attempt another delivery the following monday? hope using certified mail won't cause us any more delays.....

and how many days for the delivery of certified mail..

  3. as far as i read here with regards to a.k.a thats what they are needing...

may i ask if you have an annotation in your BC w/ regards to the corrections... and is your correction as big one. i mean like a second name is incorrect? i am asking coz i have a 1 wrong letter in my middlename and BC have an annotation for that correction. im thinking if i need to go to NBI and apply for a clearance w/ AKA. are they that sensitive w/ regards to names...

  4. we did the same mistake too that's why we had a checklist because we checked that part 3 no. 2 and include my stepson's name in it. dumb that I didn't read the instruction carefully but anyways we already sent the aos checklist last week. your right with your correct version, just wanna ask if your 2 minors are your stepchildren or not. coz if it is then you're right with your correct version of part 5 no. 8 coz they'll not be counted as your dependents but if they are your kids then you need to add them up to your household size. hope this will help you

credits for vj member nobby7 who gave me this info about my aos checklist. thanks again.

Part 3. Information on the Immigrant (s) You Are Sponsoring

    2. Family Members

the immigrant you are sponsoring may be bringing a spouse and/or children to the United States. If the spouse and/or children will be travelling with the immigrant, or within 6 months of the immigrants entry to the United States and you are sponsoring them, you should list the names and other requested information on the lines provided.......

    I-864 ACTUAL FORM

Part 3. Information on the Immigrant (s) You are Sponsoring

    2. I am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within 6 months of the principal immigrant named in Part 2. Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition.

    CONFUSING

but i since you've been in this situation i'll stick with your opinion. we'll redo husbands AOS.

they are biological. so where should my husband include them. were still here in the philippines and they are not a dependent on his tax returns.

thanks for ur reply and to nobby7 too.

  6. remember you shouldn't include any relative on part 3 of the form that is on separate visa petition. so if your husband is petitioning you and your children it should just be you on part 3 no. 1 and don't check the box part 3 no. 2 plsu don't put your children's name on part 3. that brings the part 3 line 7 of a total of 1 household and that's only you. remember to do the same thing too to every forms for your children. and if its a stepchildren of the petitioner, NVC look at it as they're not yet dependents of the petitioner.

husband did the opposite, glad AOS hasn't been sent yet.

    clarification pls

files 3 petition (spouse & minor) filled out i864w (tax exemption) for 2 minors & i864 for wife.

    i864 for wife

part 3 / #1 "yes" #2 checked the box and wrote names of children in 2.a and 3.a #7 wrote "3"

    part 5 #1 "3" #8 "4"

does this mean he need to redo part 3 and 5??

    correct version should be

    part 3 / #1 "yes" #2 dont check #7 write "1"

    part 5 #1 "1" #8 "2"

your immediate opions are really in need now. thanks y

  7. Her post reads as if her husband is filing one petition. If that is indeed the case then they should be listed on part 3.

It would then be correct to include them in 5-1 as long as they are not listed on a separate visa petition.

This applies to all immigrants the husband is sponsoring who are immigrating within the 6 months of principal immigrant.

and now i got so confused. situation : husband files 3 petition (spouse, 2 minor) . #1 "yes" and also checked #2. and wrote children names on 2.a and 3.a /// . he filled out i864w for the 2 minor.

grrr....im so confused.....how can he count the 2 minors? and in # 7 it asks "total # of immigrants you are sponsoring from items 1 through 6 .

  8. we haven't send in our AOS and got a checklist for that. i called NVC yesterday and today operatord told me husband need to fill out i864w for my 2 minors (cca 2000). i asked if he needs to attach tax returns for the 2 cases and said no as for its an AOS exemption. i asked a couple of times here on vj and they said to attach tax return. so, we've decided to attach the 2013 tax return.....haven't heard from anyone here bein issued checklist for attaching too many proof... so what the heck,...better be safe than checklist...
