  1. My husband case is in administrative process and it's more than 6 month now .now I m gng Pakistan .does any one know if I go to the Islamabad embassy and talk to the consular does it help or not ? Any more had that situation before?help pls

the unfortunate truth is you can be under AP in Pakistan for years, and there is not one thing you can do about it. I pray you get an approval soon.

Take a look at your country portal, and talk to some folks.

it's it pretty much mandatory, esp for Males. something everyone going through islamabad MUST prepare for.

lastly, this may seem crazy, but if your fiance can get out of pakistan, and maybe find a job in the UAE, Qatar, he will have MUCH better odds at an approval (UAE is very easy if you have everything organized and lined up)

  2. We messed up and answered differently during the interview and was denied the visa. We talked about what we were going to say but I guess she got nervous and forgot most of it. They asked when did your fiancee propose? She answered the day I got off the plane.dry.png So I am very disappointed that we have to it all again. They said I can refile the same petition again. That is what I plan to do. Because I was told that if I were to go the Cr-1 Route I would have to get married again, take all new pictures and get all new documents. My question is can i just file the same petition over again? Is there a need for any new papers besides the police record and the martial status papers? Thanks everyone for reading. I am still here spending time with my fiancee while I still can. Next time i will let her go to the interview alone. I felt like if I just let her go alone she would be flying home with me in a week. I am very sad that he denied us the visa because of the living conditions she has to deal with over here. It's like going back in technolgy 100 years.

Hmm, seems the real reason you were denied is because......YOU CANT BE married and file for a K-1. your picture gives it away, dude.

I knew this would cause confusion. Yes I got married but not legally just traditional ceremony. The CO seemed to know this but I'm not sure. I put pics of the ceremony in my petition, made sure there was nothing that said wedding. It looks like an engagement ceremony.

in a CO's eyes, Married is Married. leagl or not.

  3. we have applied for I129f , fiance visa in Oct 17 , we got approval throw the mail in Nov 19, the problem is that i have been living in Qatar for 3 years and the company i am working for they decided to finish my contract so i have to leave Qatar within 2 weeks to go back to my country Tunisia ,

we tried to contact USCIS to ask them for what we need to do in this case , they said we have to contact NVC, we called NVC they said they didn't receive our case yet

    my question is

1-what i do to have the interview in Tunisia not in Qatar

2- is this will delay the process

3- is there any document i need to take with me from Qatar to the interview in Tunisia

    1. Interview will be held in country of residence

    2. no

    3. take everything you would have taken in Qatar

    4. MOST IMPORTANT - have your US Citizen change your address with USCIS, and contact BOTH embassys until you receive a reply. first contact USCIS and wait on hold for a tier two rep.

  4. Been waiting since February 5, 2013 for our NOA 2. Received paperwork stating my documents are lost, and we and have to resubmit everything!!! Also have to get written verification from the NVC(30 business days per there rep) that they haven't received our paperwork. Doesn't make any seeing that we only have received our NOA 1. Why would the NVC have it!? Spoke with countless tier 1 & 2 reps. Each gives me info going in a different direction!!! Soooooooooooooo frustrated!!!!!!

my best advise is to do exactly what they are asking....I am so sorry about this nonsense. also, find your local field office, and make an INFO-PASS appointment ASAP. also, you will get an expedite due to Error by USCIS. so sorry :(

  5. Here is my problem: I didnt apply for SSN before my i94 got expired because the lady at SSA told that we should submit the ead/aos. So last friday nov 15 i received my EAD and went to SSA nov 19. The lady told that she cannot verify my name or my EAD whatever and come back after 2 weeks. My question, do i need to wait for 2 weeks or wait for 10 days or go to the other ssa office?

Eeeekk..My understanding is that if you do not get your SS card before your I94 expires, you need to wait until you have received your work premit. Someone please correct me if i am wrong. I look forward to knowing if this is correct too.

  6. the bottom line is....there is NO method to the madness. One service center is not better, or faster than another. believe it or not, there are hundreds of thousands of others not on Visa Journey waiting as you are. Also, A LOT of people are "lucky" as you say to get quick approvals - this means NOTHING. When I was filing, there were plenty of people who got 30, 60, 90 day approvals who were still waiting for an interview AFTER we had had and finished the first part of our K-1 Journey. it's hard but you have to just go with it, or don’t. this Immigration process is not for everyone. Good Luck.

P.S I waited for about 7 months, NO RFE, NO problems at interview. About 10.5-11 month from start to POE. Working on AOS now.

  7. Another question, I noticed that my DS 156k will expire on Nov. 30, 2013. but my interview is on Dec. 11, 2013.

How is that? Where can I get the updated DS 156k? sad.png

No, my then finace, now husband was in Abu Dhabi. I am not sure about the expiring form, maybe complete a new one?

Hi, I am planning to resign this month.. do you think it would be fine so that i could still finish my one month grace period? are you also from Dubai?

Hmm, dont put all your eggs in one basket. although the UAE is known for approvals, you never know what may happen. best to wait until visa is granted to quit work.

  8. Has he had his biometrics yet? Your timeline states he hasn't. I don't think it is possible to have the EAD approved without having had biometrics first. However, if he has had his biometrics, then this might really be an approval - congratulations!

On another note, I think your topic title might be a little misleading to others because it implies that your AOS (= Green Card) has been approved in four weeks. AOS does not have anything to do with the work- or travel authorization and is processed independently from those.

no, I clearly did not state he had his biometrics done. I said "hopefully green card is not far behind" I am sorry you feel anything in this post is misleading.
