    A lot has changed in Abu Dhabi in the last year. Just keep in mind you are dealing with a MENA country, and it is not a good look.


    Thank you everyone for boosting the positive in me this morning. I am well prepared and have tons of evidences. Just was little bit concerned about one time meeting only during the whole period of relationship.

    A lot has changed in Abu Dhabi in the last year. Just keep in mind you are dealing with a MENA country, and it is not a good look. My husband was drilled over visits, pictures and such, every interview is different.

    Hello everyone,

    We obtained our case number today, and it states the following:

    Immigrant Visa Case Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.
    Did you have similar message? or for the interview date I have to wait for the embassy to call my fiance or communicate with me?. Or this is general statement they put it to everyone but eventually the Embassy who control the interview date?? Or we are expecting a hard copy letter from NVC with interview date???
    What do you think? did you have similar message when you checked your case status online???

    So, we not notice our interview for ASO could be waived, Great! then we got notice my husbands vaccinations were incomplete. I have looked over this Vaccination Document Worksheet he was given at his medical in Abu Dhabi, it states Complete and Applicant may be eligible for a "blanket Waiver" because not age appropriate. We have visited two CS's in the past 2 weeks and they too say there is nothing further we need to do. at this point I am confused. should I just return the information I have? thoughts and suggestions, please smile.png

    Do you know how much it takes the petition to reach US Embassy in Abu Dhabi???

    AP means administrative processing. Most MENA countries it is a must, however Abu Dhabi did not do this a lot until recently. It means they have extensive background checks to do. This can take 1 day to years. There is no set time, no way to get around it. It does suck but you should always be prepared for it esp in a Middle East country. Men in Pakistan go through mandatory AP. some have been there for years. I'm not trying to scare you, just be prepared for anything.

    Our petition took about 45-50 days for the transfer. Check my timeline. Numbers are more accurate there.

    Hello everyone,

    Me and my fiance are waiting the NOA2 and ready to plan for booking tickets. She is planing to visit me and we both get back to USA together. I am going to live in Minnesota so my point of entry will be Minneapolis.

    My question is: IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENER USA FROM DIFFERENT POINT OF ENTRY, (to land in Atlanta then fly to Minnesota??)

    This is due to that there are no direct flights from Dubai to Minneapolis, so either I have to make transfer in Europe or make this transfer in Atlanta. I know that they will take and open the packet and medical envelope in the point of entry.

    Can anyone tell me. What would be the next step, we already have the letter from the NVC that the packet was already sent to US Embassy... Do we have to really wait for the Embassy to contact us or send an email for the next step... because it is more than 2 months now and we haven't received anything yet. Thank you for all the replies..

    we needed to drop off additional documents, as we did... We were told twice that the case was completed and they took passport and no visa. Still waiting as more work needs to be done on their side. We have been put on AP for 10 months now, and still waiting, and the after turning in the paperwork it's been 8 months of waiting. All we can do is set back and wait. We've got 2 senators involved and no answer of yet on our case. This has put a hold on our life and not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Wow! this is quite unheard of in Abu Dhabi! I pray everything works out and you can begin life ASAP!

    Hi All,

    We applied for K1 Visa last March 2013, Had my interview on Dec 8 and I was asked to provide co-sponsor. I went back on Dec 22 to provide the documents as required and they collected my passport and again I was scheduled to collect my passport last Jan 5,2014. But, on Jan 5 they just gave back my passport and said "It is not yet done, We will call you".

    I am so disapppointed with their answer and they dont even discuss further. Upto now, I am still waiting a call from them. They just give back my passport and no more additional papers or appointment and dont know what is our exact status, if under administrative or what?

    Is there any case that you know which is similar to us? We are lost.

    you need to do as they say and Wait. hard to hear, but it is all you will get out of them. Abu Dhabi is one of the easiest embassy's in the Middle East. if you delivered all your paperwork and it was completed to their standards, you will be fine.

    they need to re process everything to get you the visa...having a co-sponsor throws in a whole other review process. Good luck!

    i'm trying and contacted almost everyone about the money order, but I can't find any place in UAE that make money orders. Can someone please tell me what they made to pay the uscis I-130 petition fee?? Thank you

    Hey guys,

    So how am I supposed to print Skype logs? I mean, my fiance saved them in a MS word thing, but I've heard I need screen shots. Can either work? Another thing is we use something called Hey Wire to SMS each other...how do I get that proof off our phones??

    Sorry if this was obvious stuff!

    Copy it to email, paste it and send. Print :)

    as for skype, go through get a few conversations and copy and paste into word doc, showing date and time stamp from message. this is secondary evidence. they will quickly glance at it.

    Hi VJ pple, i need your good answer to my questions.. My girlfriend is black america and i am from Nigeria but living and working in Dubai UAE, only know each other for 2years now .. My question is which place is easy for us to get married Nigeria or Dubai? beside, i will like to apply for fiance visa after the marriage.

    Speaking from experience, STAY IN THE UAE! much better chances of an approval. Also, you cannot file for a K-1 after you are married. Automatic Denial. lastly, you two need to have met in the last two years prior to filing.

    crying.gif Thanking GOD ....I am so happy early in the morning hours went to sleep seen our status changed date but still said AP I guess it was 10am Cairo time and my husband just woke me and said VISA ISSUEDdancin5hr.gif OMG I can't explain what is going through me now.I THANK ALL VJ members who not just advised but told there stories because that really helped to see others with similar situations and helped see a light on certain things happening in the case.I am wishing all who are on this AP nightmare the best of luck.Someone pinch melaughing.gif

    K1 Visa and ChineseLoveLinks IMB status

    I am a US citizen and I have meet a wonderful lady in China, and we are nearly complete in filing for K1 visa, but want to double and triple check one item regarding IMB (International Marriage Broker) status for the web site (ChineseLoveLinks.com).

    I called the CLL support line and a lady told me that they are exempt from IMB and was going to send me an email about that, but I never received anything in 2 days.

    What is confusing is while their support lady told me they are exempt from IMB, they have a section on IMBRA that you can fill out optionally,

    and encouraging US members to do so in preparation of K1 visa filing.

    Also, she had contacted me first on CLL site, and we've exchanged personal contact information many weeks ago before we knew anything about this IMBRA thing. And CLL site doesn't have a mechanism to get signed waiver from the non-US person before releasing their contact information to me. In fact, CLL does not release any personal contact information. It can only be done directly by individuals initially via anonymous email within the system.

    Has any US person here met someone from ChineseLoveLinks.com or any of the other dozen or so sister cupid sites, and successfully obtained the K1 visa for the overseas fiancee? If so, did you declare CLL site ad IMB or not? I would love to hear from you.
