Any updates dallas peeps?

Hi, I hope you are doing well. Well I came across another way of reaching out to USCIS through another department which is independent of USCIS. Its called Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman and the form you need to fill out is Case Assistance (DHS-7001) and here is the link  https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx. 
 
Prior to filling out the form, my case was still at NBC (National Benefits Center). After filling out the form(and it could be a coincidence), my case got transferred to Dallas Field Office.
 
I got an email from Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman saying that they have contacted USCIS regarding my case. 
 
So this might be another way to expedite our N-400 applications.

Dallas peeps any updates. This processing is taking soooo long. Its been almost a year since i applied.

Hey Dallas Filers!
 
USCIS received my file on 09/23/2017.I got my Finger Prints done on the 10/19/2016 and since then I have not heard from them. Dallas Office is extremely slow at the moment. I suspect we wont hear from them before sep/oct this year.

Thanks guys for all your comments. Let me make this clear first. My father did not lie. I told him not to mention anything about me in the application. He is 70 year old man and has never been in a situation like that before. But at the interview when he was asked if he has any relatives in US, he told them yes my son lives in US. My mother applied on the same exact documents that my cousin sent and she got her visa. The reason he said that he is retired is because he is really not actively working. He looks after his friends business out of care and in return he gets minimal salary. I know it appears that he lied but actually he didn't.
I would like advice from VJ members on how to approach the interview and the application form this time.

I just wanted to share some thoughts.I moved to London in 2006 and worked there until 2012. I applied for Danish Green Card scheme in 2011 from London and my immigration was approved in January 2013 and received my immigrant visa from Danish Embassy in Dubai. I know it says on their wesbite that it takes 3 months to get Danish Green Card but in reality it takes atleast 1 year. My friend who applied for the green card the same time as me on the basis of his education was refused for some silly reason.
I have been living and working in Dubai for the last 9 months. 200 different nationalities live and work here and I believe its easier to find a job here than in Denmark and mainly its because most of the multi national companies are based in Dubai and in most offices English is the offcial language. Although English is understood by vast majoirty in Denmark but the official language is Danish.
I hope that everything goes without a hitch in future for you guys and hopefully your long AP wait will end soon Insha Allah but if you are forced to leave US to be with your fiance because of this stupid AP, then I would recommend Dubai because of the following:
1) You get browine points for holding American passport lol
2) Its a lot easier for Americans to find job in Dubai,are paid well and you would find it easier to blend into Dubai Culture.
3) You do not have to wait long for your fiance to be with you in Dubai. He can easily apply for a visit visa from Pakistan or you can apply for a spouse visa if your earnings are more than AED 5000 and I am sure you will get a lot more than that.

I can't really suggest anything. There are people on VJ more educated like Darnell and Dwheels immigration wise than myself. Just wanted to say shame on those people who misuse others for their own benefit.

The co-sponsor does not necessarily have to be related. It could be a close friend, relative etc.

Yes I believe a phone to NVC will resolve this issue, but obviously your fiance would have to send a letter to NVC informing them about the change of consulate. It may not take more than two weeks for your case to be transferred to Ankaara. If I could be of any further help please do not hesitate to contact me .

Well the first case number that was assigned to us began with LND( as in London) and I am assuming that they might have generated the case number prior to sending of the documents to the embassy. But once they changed the embassy my case number was changed from LND to ABD(Abu Dhabi). I do not think it would be an issue for NVC to divert your case to Ankara embassy. Inshallah everything will be fine do not worry
