  1. I submitted my I-129f 37 days ago and roughly received my electronic NOA1 a week later. However, I never received my paper receipt and my case never showed up on the website. So today I called and was given to a tier 2 representative. She said the application is on file and in process, but that a representative would call me back in 24 to 48 hours to explain the problem. I asked, "was their a problem with the application" and she said no, but a rep. would call me to explain why its not in the system. Should I be worried about my application. FYI, it was sent to the Vermont processing center.

You can check your status online at USCIS website every now and then. Just put your receipt number and you'll see which stage you're on. :)

Best of luck and God bless.

  2. hello VJ users, my fiance received a mail dated NOVEmber 27, 2012,,,stating that the NVC approved the I-129F petition and will forward to the visa issuing post where the visa interview take place (Philippines). i just wanna ask the processing time or if how long will the US Embassy contact to begin my process here. and if how long will they send the packet instructions to me???? do i need to wait for the packet instruction before i begin gathering the needed requirements??? i hope u will help me... thanks a lot :)

Hi! No need to wait for that packet. Wait for at least 1 week, if you don't receive the NVC letter, just call the NVC and ask the Mnl Case # personally and write it on the paper. You can then pay your visa at the BPI (Don't forget the MRV slip), schedule your interview and go for medical at St. Luke's.

    Best of luck! :)

hi there! no need to wait for packet! they dot send any packet anymore.. infact i did not receive mine but i got my visa approved last week.. all you need to do is wait for one week and call nvc then ask for case number then you can book for interview and have medical as long as you got all the requirements like fiancee's birth certificate, cenomar, police clearances here in philippines or any country you lives or stayed morethan 6 months.. in my case i stayed in hongkong for two years so i need hongkong police clearance.. if your fiancee needs help on how to process everything as her to text me this is my number 09076133809, i am willing to give advice as i survived this whole process with help of my visajourney friends.. GOD BLESS ON YOUR JOURNEY

Hi there! I understand that you had to get Hong Kong police clearance since you have stayed there for two years but I think she needs NBI clearance. That's what the consulate will ask to know her record. :)

  3. DS-230 (PART I) APPLICATION FOR IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION. Each applicant must submit one (1) completed copy of this form (Part II is not required). Download form at http://travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_1342.html.

    (K1/K2 Applicants’ Interview Preparation Instructions-English/November 2012)

Hi, sis. Do K1 applicants also need to submit DS-230? I thought it's not needed for K1 applicants. I need some confirmation about this.

    Thank you.

  4. i dont know what to do,my NBI clearance is scheduled for releasing the day after my interview.I already rescheduled my interview because of some follow up check ups at St. Lukes. Can i still go to my interview without my NBI clearance, but i do have the receipt or i have to wait for it in order to do the interview, can i still reschedule my interview for the 2nd time?

Yes, you can. But WITHOUT your NBI clearance, the embassy would surely put you into 221G section and let you submit lacking papers in order for your visa to be released.

  5. I knew something was wrong when my fiancee' sent me message so fast after returning to St. Luke's today. X-ray appears to have shown something so consequently she will have to undergo a sputum test. Needless to say it looks like we'll have to wait an extra two months for the tests. Words cannot even describe how I feel right now, but I feel worse for her since she's dealing with this all on her own 9000 miles away from me.

Hi, that's sad but we can do nothing about it. All you can do is to love her more and support her on this time of disappointment. And don't forget that St. Luke's are doing this test for HER own good so that if there's really something wrong with her lungs, it will be cure right away. Just keep the faith and patience. :)

    God bless you both.

  6. Hello fellow Vj Members,

We got our NOA2 on Nov. 19, 2012 and my fiance called the USCIS on Nov. 30, 2012, saying that they received the packet. The USCIS gave my fiance our MNL case number.

Here are some of my concerns:

    1. Can I have my medical exam even without the appointment letter from the US Embassy in Manila?

    2. Can I have an appointment for the visa interview online (after paying the BPI)even I didn't receive any letter from the Embassy such as the packet 3 and packet 4?

    I really need help!!!

    Congrats! :)

1.) Most cases I've heard had their appointment letters being shown to the SLMCEC's guard. I think they will look for it.

2.) Yes. Better to pay your visa on the morning so you could manage to make an online appointment by afternoon. Packet 3 and 4 are not really necessary. Just present your NOA2 and your appointment letter during the interview in case they will look for it.

God bless and wish you the best. :)

  7. hello guys... i got my visa approved last Nov 16 and will fly to UTAH on DEC 21.. while i was waiting for my interview after my medical i took the cfo seminar and that time i dont have my visa yet.. so they gave me my certificate but i dont have sticker yet since i dont have my visa... they instructed me that i can get my sticker in Manila airport if i am in a hurry to fly.. my concern is.. is this really reliable that i can get my cfo sticker at airport? i will be coming from bacolod city direct to US and it will be convenient for me if i just get my sticker at airport.. any experience with this? please share.. God bless

Hi, sis! Better just get the sticker at the CFO office so that you will not encounter further problem and delayed during your flight day. :)

Which city of Negros you're from? I'm from San Carlos by the way. :)

girls, what is CFO? I am new here and also be experiencing what you have been through.. Please guide..

Hi! CFO means Commission On Filipinos Overseas. All visa holder must attend the seminar before they can fly to their visa destination. :)

  8. Amen and amen, sis Sweetie811.

There's nothing we can do really but ti wait and be patients. September 1 filer here under CSC and patiently waiting for NOA2.

Just keep yourself occupied, that way you will not feel bored and hopeless. That's what I do everyday. Instead of worrying about the processing time, I spend my precious time with my family here in Philippines because I'm sure that when time comes that I will leave and stay in the US, I will miss them so badly. :)

  9. hello to all my VJ friends

i know this is not related to vj but its not bad to share it !

as you all might hear they say that on the 23th of December world will end :( was just going to see what you guys think of this event >?????

i hope its not true cuz then i cant see my hubby again

Time for posting this. Made me smile in the midst of my longing to my fiance.

Don't worry the world surely is not gonna end this month. Just pray and trust the Lord.

God bless you and your man. :)

  10. Hello Everyone,

I think I made a mistake on mine... I had everything scanned! From the letter of intent to marry, G-325A and my photo. I printed them out, signed them, scanned and email to my fiance :( uh oh! Are we going to end up having an RFE? Do we just need to wait for it, or we can correct them now and send a follow up documents? I signed them all in blue ink. I'm crossing my finger that it is not that bad though. Anybody tried that before? Now I'm really nervous!!!

80% yes, you would get an RFE because USCIS requires original documents with original signature. But just wait for them to send you the notice of RFE because they will put there all papers they still want from you. So if you'll wait, chances is your petition will be complete after you send the additional documents.

  11. Ya and the embassy says they will send out packet 3 (K-1 visa) which NEVER arrives and actually is all online now a days.

Reality is many here on VJ do the medical less than 2 weeks before the interview. Maybe for IR/CR-1 its different, but with the K-1 once NVC hands out the MNL# its rock 'n' roll time!

  12. Hi Everyone! :)

I need some clarification and answers to some questions.

My situation is that right now, my boyfriend and I are soon to be engaged and we are trying to figure out what is the best way for us as to visas. Either the K-1 OR K-3. He lives in the Dominican Republic.

What is the process for the K-1 visa?

    What are the procedures?

Do you need a specific job status, income, etc??

I will greatly appreciate any answer. Any information. Please any suggestions from any friends that have brought their fiance from the Dominican Republic, I will accept any suggestons.

Hi! You can file I-129F/Fiance visa petition to bring him with you in the US.

First you need to comply all documents needed in filing the petition. You two must have met in person in the past 2 years as well.

Save all your plane tickets, boarding passes, hotel receipt, chat logs, emails, photos of you together.

And you two must fill up the G-325A with your signature and write an intent to marry letter with signature again. The processing time usually take 5 - 7 months. And yes, you need to have a specific job in order to provide the documents needed in the form I-134 (affidavit of support). You will need to send him your ITR, W-2, paystubs and employment letter upon interview.

Good luck and God bless! :)

  13. Hi,

I met my GF Nov 2011 during my vacation in the Philippines. We never went out just exchanged contact info. Could never connect during that trip. We just remained friends and chatted on rare occasions. As I got closer to my annual dive trip this Nov, communication increased dramatically. She met me on my arrival day and ended up asking for a leave from work so she could stay with me for my entire 18 day trip. Now I want to marry her and apply for a K1 visa. Other than my decision being too soon, is it too soon to apply for a K1 visa? How long do they like to see the relationship evolve before applying for a K1 visa. How many visits is appropriate. I only have so much vacation time.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Hi, Jeff. First of all, congratulations to the both of you. One of major K1 requirements is that you and your foreign fiance must have met for the past two years. It doesn't matter how many visit you will do. You need to submit the copy of your passport stamp when you file the I-129F package, boarding pass, hotel receipt, emails and photos.

    Good luck. :)

  14. called uscis and they received my i-129f and gave me the receipt #...awesome...the higher customer service lady was really nice...asked her about the waiver and my situation... for me, i had one approved last year and things broke apart...so i moved on and found another person...she said as long as i formally withdrew it, then its fine...she asked me how i found another person so fast?... hmmm well i told her thats the way things are... but insofar as the visa and the case, i understand her question...so lots and lots of evidence and honest communications

God bless your journey ahead! :D
