    Time for a reality check.
You don't have a job. You want to bring her here. Instead of trying to find a way to support the both of you in the US, you would rather hang in the Philippines. That's not a great plan.
Be a grown up. Endure the separation like many other couples. Go get a job to support yourself and your future wife. Sacrifice a few months together to prepare for a lifetime together.

Register at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp to see case updates. A touch is when you see the date has changed, that usually means they have looked at it or moved it to another location in the office. Good Luck

From everything I've read here, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you can prove a bonified marriage/relationship and have evidence to show it. While it does HELP to be there for her interview, it is not required and a lot of visas have been approved without the significant other present. A letter explaining your situation wouldn't hurt to send with her to the interview but I'm sure as long as she can explain it to the CO it should be fine.
Anybody feel free to correct me if I am wrong?

At present they are approving March and April filers. Check Igor's list which will give you an idea of where they are but be mindful that this list is dependant upon members filling in their timelines.
The following link shows changes from Oct 1st, 2012: However, I don't think this applies to you because you filed in July: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

Just wanted to check in and see where you are all in the process.
I am still dealing with CSC and their lack of communication and elusiveness. Going on 37 days waiting for my RFE letter that they had "re-sent" 3 times now and some how keeps getting "lost" in the mail. I have an appointment with a lawyer next week because of all of this.
    Anyone gotten approval?

    You did it right.
Photocopies only with the I-130. The instructions states not to send originals in with the I-130.
After USCIS approves the I-130, the case will be sent to the NVC. At the NVC state, you will need to send in the originals or certified copies with Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, and Form DS-230, Immigrant Visa Application.

Received an RFE status online from Vermont last week (previously listed as "initial review").
Got the letter today and they simply want two passport photos of me.
Praise the Lord this was simple to do!
So remember kids, if you are the sponsor processing an I-130 at Vermont, please don't forget your passport photos!
    Anyone out there have similar?
Does anyone think I will receive MORE RFE's after this? (Or are they thorough enough to ask for these kinds of things in one swing?)
    Peace, Love, and Bobby Sherman!

sunflower123 reacted to Mrs.A2010 in NOA2 (for BIL) from VSC for IR/CR in exactly 6 months
    Hi to all.
Not sure if this helps anyone but I'm always looking at other ppl's timelines and trying to guess when my husband's NOA2 for I-130 will come, but his brother is doing the exact same process & he just got his last Thursday at exactly the 6 month mark from either when they mailed it off or when they got their NOA1.
Our lawyer (same as theirs) told us the average time for this is taking 4-6 months for most. If ours takes the same amount of time as theirs did, we will be waiting another month and a half. Our VJ timeline keeps pushing the ETA for our NOA2 out farther and farther for us, so I guess theirs taking 6 months is about right....
Just wanted to share it in case it helps anyone else feel better about how long the VSC is taking to process I-130's!

sunflower123 reacted to GreenThumb in Some tips on record keeping
Since keeping a record of an ongoing relationship is extremely important when sponsoring your loved one, I thought I'd share some tips on record keeping based on my experience.
    1. Buy an Android-based phone. I got one 2 months ago, and I wish I had one before that, since keeping a record of text messages and phone calls has become much easier. There is an app called SMS Backup+ that saves all your sms messages and call history to your Gmail account. This will make it easier to print out your call history and sms messages.
    2. If you are using Skype, there is an easier method of printing out call history than taking screenshots. A program called SkypeLogView enables you to save your Skype history in a text file. You can also select the type of history you want to save, e.g. calls, files sent/received, chat and sms messages.
    3. We used Yahoo messenger to IM each other. It saves all your chat history with timestamps, and you can print out your entire chat history with the print feature.
    4. If you have a Nokia phone which has Bluetooth or USB connectivity and then switch to Android, you can import your SMS messages from your Nokia phone to your Android phone. Install Nokia Suite, sync your sms messages from your phone to your PC, and export your messages to a .csv (comma separated values) file. Install an app called SMS Importer on your Android phone. If you decide to pay for the full version of this app, it will make things easier, since the Lite version only allows 100 messages to be imported at one time. If you stick with the Lite version, you will need to play around with the .csv file, for which you need a spreadsheet program such as MS Excel. Here's how you do it:
    a. Separate received messages from sent messages. Select all columns except column A, go to sort and filter, and do custom sort. Sort data by Column B. All your received messages will be separated from sent messages.
    b. If you have more than 100 messages, you will need to create multiple csv files with 100 messages in each file. You can name the files with received messages as inbox1.csv, inbox2.csv, and so on. Files with sent messages can be named as sent1.csv, and so on.
    c. Copy the csv files to your phone.
    d. Open SMS Importer. You will need to manually type the location of the stored file, as well as the filename. There are two destinations for imported messages: Inbox and Sent. Make sure you select the correct destination according to the file you have opened. Dont worry if it says you have more than 100 messages in your csv file. If you've made sure each file has only 100, all your messages will be imported.
    e. Enjoy having all your messages in one place.
Note: SMS Importer recognizes the Nokia Suite formatting and imports the messages accordingly. If your messages have been imported from another type of phone into csv format, you may need to change the settings in order to preserve the dates and times, as well as the formatting of the messages themselves.
Hope this can help someone trying to keep a record of their correspondence.
If anyone has any questions, PM and I will try to help out. I may not know the answer, but I will do my best to help.
