  1. I agree with everyone else, your time is best spent getting ready for the next step of this process. The wait times are always just an estimate. Sometimes it says they are processing in 5 months and it only takes 30 days and then other times it says 5 month and it takes much longer. Truth is there is a lot about this process that we can't control but while you are waiting you could be getting all of the things done that you CAN control. I spent 3 months at NVC because I didnt have everything ready when they asked for it. I could have had case completed in a month if I had been ready. As far as what you are told on the phone they have a script that they read and it is ALWAYS worst case scenerio. Just keep calling and checking and staying on top of your case......and be prepared to wait. It is what it is.

What next step answer me that everything is on HOLD until something happens how can you plan a life if you don't know if there is going to be a life to plan!

  2. But that is not going to happen. The OP made up 10 months based on nothing. There is zero truth to the "10 month" quote. It's just fear mongering an paranoia and a bad attitude.

Excuse me but I got that straight from tier 2 agent named Michelle any other comments? I waited on hold for almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to be told these things so unless you are willing to wait that long listening the the instrumental version of the girl from ipanemia you need to adjust your comments or keep them to yourself! as for bad attitude I might have come off just a little strong but I wanted to let the good people here know hat I had learned is there fault in that?

  3. So I got the approval letter(NAO2) from USCIS dated Dec 14 on Dec 16 informing that case has been forwarded to NVC. I have been calling them everyday in January who told me it takes 15 business days, apparently they haven't had 15 business days as of Jan 15(I know right....where can I sign up for this job!)

Finally, yesterday(Jan 16) they "received" the case but will take 15-20 business days for a case number. I LOST my mind, is this considered normal?? Are these people living in 2013,the age of iphones and 4g LTE, 50GB data speed! I feel like they have a typewriter upstairs with a 75 yr old typing these cases into the system.

I'm appalled by their service, are they held accountable for their jobs? The phone operator Jazmine goes "these time-frames are what it is and can't be changed,SIR", that put me over the edge, asked for supervisor contact and gave me nvcresearch email id and to put attn: Ben on subject line. I feel this is all waste of time with "Ben" being a fictional character that goes straight to trash. I told Jazmine,USCIS taking time to do background check is understandable but getting a damn case number from NVC in 2 months is ridiculous.

Waiting for your loved one is excruciating itself, dragging the process as simple as a case number should NOT take 2 months. Now onto my questions,I hope someone could shed some light into this

    1. Is there anything that I can do at this point, should I proceed with an email to "Ben"?

    2. Do they organize these cases based on visa category? If so,shouldn't my case be top 3 category?

    3. If you want to complain about NVC, who can you contact, I want to do my part to make this process faster in future

    4. Is NVC subcontracted by private firm?

Your help is appreciated,I feel better now!

Don't waste your time all they will tell you is to "WAIT" I called 2 tier support and was on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes to be told to wait 45 times in a 10 minute conversation and do not believe anything uscis tells you on first tier the times have doubled if the say 10 days it will be 20 if they say 5 months it will be 10. And there is nothing we can do about it they are to worried about processing all these illegal amnesty bs that they have forgotten the people doing this legally. So just find something else to do with you time because the Uscis could care less if you got your visa or not.

  4. You should be blaming the parents who came here illegally with their children in tow. Children who grew up here, went to school here, and are here by no fault of their own. These children want the opportunity to remain in the only place they know as home. Our government has a conscience...I find no fault in that. Obviously you don't know the first thing about this legislation. You are being selfish because it may take your case a month or 2 longer to get through USCIS, oh boohoo. Your case and check being lost has zero to do with Deferred Action.

I know more about it then you think the cutoff age is 32 not 17 32! 32 is not a child 32 is an adult a child by all US standard is anyone under the age of 18 a child I can understand but not 18 to 32 year old adults give me a break!

  5. So it's Obama's fault the post office lost your petition? Lolz. He's only one out of a long line of recent presidents who have supported gutting spending on federal agencies, like the post office and USCIS. Are you even sure it got lost? What information has USPS given you?

If it is in fact gone forever then YES you should cancel or put a stop payment on your money order and send a new packet. This is why the guides say to make a complete copy of the petition packet in case something like this happens.

Chill out and try again. Chances are this is not going to be the last time this immigration process frustrates you.

no he did not lose my petition he is causing the long agonizing waiting periods for processing to happen good people who do this the right way should not be thrown to the wayside so an illegal can get in!

  6. Okay you need to calm down a bit.

First of all the process is slow. Youre not the only person applying for a visa. There are thousands of people in the immigration system.

As for where your petition went, lets see if we can figure this out.

There are two addresses you could have mailed it to- (im abridging them slightly)

    regular

    Pobox 660151

    Dallas TX

    express mail

    or 2501 hwy 121

    lewisville TX

So according to your post it seems like you sent it to dallas. What does USPS tell you? That it was delivered? It is possible to deliver express mail on sundays. ( http://pe.usps.com/businessmail101/classes/express.htm) If you paid an extra fee and check off no signature required, usps would leave your package at the pobox in dallas, on a sunday with no signature, so your package is there.

Also according to the guide - http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow for your NOA1 Typical wait time is 2-3 weeks after the Service Center receives the I-129.

Ok i will explain it as i tried to explain it to the very kind 2nd teir agent who told me i was wasti.g his time talked to how can it be processed if it never got to the right location it went to po 660046 not 660151 660054 is to process i182d files not i 129f so now what i have tried everytning short of fiying to dallas myself and finding it

  7. Hi just curious as to why you wrote a Senator's office, you're within the 5 month window since your NOA1.

He contacted his senator because the new timeline are now 6 to 8 months because of the back log Obama has caused with the illegal amnesty act. So you can thank out Wonderful President for making everyone's life miserable.

  8. The more I look on the USCIS site and on here the more discouraged I get. 250 days 300 days and so on to get approval it boggles the mind that it takes so long in this modern day...I could understand it if they actually have to do leg work to find out the background checks and things of that sort but all they do is sit behind their little desks in the little cubicals and type in names and addresses the computer does the rest so why so long I ask it is because our wonderful government puts limitations on how many they can process. The only thing that is keeping me from going insane is the love of my lady and the want of getting her here but it is hard I promised her she would be here for her birthday and the way it looks that is not going to happen.

  9. As for my incompetence I accept that but according to usps own website they delivered it to a totally different address! USPS says i need to call USCIS USCIS says i need to call USPS and no one knows anything. As for USPS being incompetent deliver of mail to the completely wrong address is competence? it was not even the wrong address i had on the label! USCIS said they could not tell me anything all they said it will take 4 weeks to process what happen to 10 days and tell sir how can it be processed if it is in some other companies mail room. And no one is willing to help me

  10. I mailed of my I129f on Friday express mail through USPS but accidently sent it to the priority mail po box! USPS says it was delivered on Sunday #######! USPS does not deliver mail on Sunday and uscis said none of their facilities are open on Sunday someone signed for it and now it is gone USPS is no help i been going around with them for over half a day and USCIS is the most incompetent bunch of ####### on the planet how in the hell can you have a facility that has no telephones???

USPS said contact uscis and after waiting on hold for over an hour i got a very rude agent who i think i will get fired to tell me in no uncertain terms that usps was who i needed to talk to not him and that i was wasting his time. I now know that my packet is lost including my money order and my pictures thanks USPS! copies.

  11. There are some problems with your path.

    1. it will be near impossible for her to get a tourist visa , even to seek medical treatment in the USA.

    2. medical tourism is big business in Singapore - why not send her there for a bit, instead? Visa for medical trip much easier to get there.

    3. 'try to file a K-1 after she gets here' - I assume you two never meet before? Her chances of getting a tourist visa into the USA are next to nil, and if you are basing 'face time' solely on her trip into the USA, to be that 'first face to face visit' - you're in for a sad disappointment.

Going forward, I suggest you use your time, perhaps this weekend, to research exactly what it takes to get a tourist visa to the USA, and why most folk in the PI don't qualify. Then, refactor your plan a bit (or a lot), based on your research findings.

    Good Luck !

I have not read anywhere the meeting has to be in her home country it just says I have to meet her once in 2 years it does not say where

  12. I am thinking of bringing her here on a visitors visa to get treatment here in the US and a second opinion a lot of the medical there in the Philippines leaves a lot to be desired as we know. During her time here I think I will use it to get to know her completely. I don't care she has it and I want to get her the best treatment possible. When the guy first told her she would not talk to me for a week because she said she thought I would not love her anymore, I told her she was stuck with me! LOL I told here if it did make it where she could not come here I would move there to the Philippines to be with her. She is the light of my life. I have started filling out the K 1 paperwork and when she gets here after a month or two we will try to file for the k1. I know it is possible it could be denied but that is a chance I have to take to get her proper treatment. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
