I think you're missing a few steps in the whole grand picture.
Firstly, if he's taking care of his family/parents, taking them to medical appointments etc., I'm somewhat sure that he will be missed when leaving. He won't be around when they need help and can't just up and leave the US. It's a sacrifice for anyone overseas. You have to understand that before pushing him.
You were the one who chose to study. Unless he was your spouse when you made the choice and unless you arranged that he'd provide for you, then IMO, you can't really expect him to have ONE income and pay for TWO households with less income than what had been the case had his salery been according to US standards.
He's paying for all the papers, documents, visa process or you are? And is he the sole provider for his parents?
I'm not trying to be harsh - dragging the process out for several months is not okay and he - of all people - needs to know that. But imagine you were providing for your parents and you had a company and on top of that, you had to take care of everything plus starting up in a new country. It's all about perspective.
My personal thoughts before leaving was being excited about leaving and sad about leaving at the same time.

Also quotes for US health and car insurance - things that are not hard to obtain when living abroad.

It was 48 hours for me - You get the email the instant it gets invoiced (I didn't realize that)

Jamaican - have you printed out Saylins process flow chart from the first post? That helps immensely to visualise the two tracks rather than looking at it as one process. Hang in there!!

    Grats!
I suggest waiting until the bill shows as PAID. Technically, yes, you can send it. But if something goes wrong with payment, then it can cause delays with your package. You can keep the bar-coded cover sheet you printed out though; it shouldn't change; it's just available sooner (compared to last year where it was only available after the bill showed as PAID).
Don't worry about capital letters. Mine wasn't and had no problems.

I imagine its not a great job experience repeating the same thing over and over every few minutes (Your case was received but not entered, it takes 10 -20 business yadda yadda yadda).

Today we had our interview, and my husband's visa was approved!
I'll write a consulate review later, tonight we are going out to celebrate. The Sydney consulate is very nice and efficiently set up, and everyone is pleasant. Our interviewer was really nice, and the interview was short and cursory. We did get stuck there for two hours. Great view though.
Many many thanks to all the wonderful people here (Saylin especially)--without VJ, I would have been lost. I hope everyone here gets good news soon! Hang in there, you *will* get through it all, even when sometimes you think you never will. Big hugs to everyone!

It's greyed out until the invoice is generated which is most likely early next week. You don't need to wait for notification.

I am sorry, however I find this post is extremely rude!! I think that it is wonderful and nice that people on this site take time to put this information together for others. So to ask or say it is to much work or laziness that is rude. How would you feel if you didn't have this site or the individuals on this site for help. Geez the nerve of some people... It is not what you say but how you say something.
I would just like to say I am very grateful for this site and the people on it. I have no idea how I would be getting through all of this with out all of you and this site.
Thanks Again, god bless and Onelove

Jasontnyc got a reaction from Penguin_ie in I-864 Form When Living Aborad
Did a few hours of reading and it looks as simple as getting each years forms (1040, 1116, and 2555) here : , using the US dollar equivalent averaged over that year and then sending them in. They can use the Irish equivalent of my W-2 and copies of those forms at their interview.
Crossing fingures for no fines as I shouldn't owe any tax.
Dont mean to hijack my own thread - just wanted to add what I found for the next person that does a Google search.
    Thanks,
    Jason
