So what happens at the POE? Thay can they do? I'm going to Washington DC Dulles Airport.

Out of curiosity, what are you all getting RFEs for? Is it lack of evidence of ongoing relationship or something different?

I think I shook hands with this situation, I just have to be patient. We are going to be togeher soon. Probably my mood is going to change a 100 times hahaha but for now, I'm good.

On October 11, 2012, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires

Don't give up! I'm gonna give you our standard line: at least someone looked at your case. You know that it has been worked on. Just focus now on giving them what they need from you. And feel free to ask if you have any doubts, we are here to help each other. I got a RFE too, on he 09/26. This is just a bump on the way to an approval! We will get there.

Good morning Marchies. I got the text this morning as I was walking in to work, then I rushed to log on to the USCIS site to check. Finally my petition is approved. Just like the sentiments of others, although this should be a very happy time to shout it from the mountain top, USCIS makes it a bit difficult because our fellow Marchies (and some February folks) are still waiting. I've bonded with many of you and I will not leave this thread until everyone on our active list is approved. I'm also interested to hear about everyone's next steps (issues, questions, comments, advice, etc) up to POE, so I'll be here beyond USCIS approval. So come on VSC!! More approvals!!

Ok March Fliers,

I am about to send the RFE info... I need clarification ... You have suggested to put the RFE on top of the package. I received 3 blue sheets in my RFE, do I put all 3 sheets on top of the box? or just the one with the special number on it? The instructions on one of the sheets say that I have to put an envelope with my recent passport photo stapled to it...

oops what?? We sent it yesterday with 3 sheets but no photo... there is nothing about the picture on our RFE letter

ohh I hate being apart! It's not about missing each other anymore. I know he needs me so much right now. We always fight in kitchen Cause he considers himself a great cook and he even teaches me how to add pepper or salt to a dish. In what way I should hold the package hahaha So I usually leave and let him cook

I almost feel bad for saying it because I know that everyone else is missing their loved ones so much, but I am sitting around with my sweetie. He is studying and I am playing on the internet. This week we have been watching downloaded episodes of "Hoarding" and "My Strange Addiction". He is now a little freaked out. This may NOT have been the best way to introduce him to Americans. lol

I am leaving in a few days though to go back to the US. I had hoped we would have our VISA by now, but it looks like it will be quite a while longer. No word at all from NVC. Hope to have him with me again by Thanksgiving....or at the very least by our wedding Dec 12th!

The thing is that he used his credit card, I had cash cause they charge me huge commission if I use my card abroad... But they require you to meet once? Okay, I can fuuly proove Miami. If they believe in Europe that's their decision... Haha and I had all the boardind passes from Europe (like 10) and he told me "Why are you collecting this trash?" sooo I threw it away... pfff

Did you also re-sign on your affidavit? I'm deciding between signing and scanning to the computer Vs Fedex-ing a sign copy of affidavit to the US. Which is going to further delay me sending the RFEs.

I remember reading somewhere that they do not accept scanned signatures :/ they asked us for two more affidavits of ramily, friends, neighbors ("other that you and the person you are petitioning for") and "your own affidavit" so my fiance is going to sign it. I don't think that my signature is going to be needed on any paper. The worst thing is that they do not stamp passports in Europe and last summer we were together in France, Spain, Holland, Portugal.. ehh...

Did you have handwritten notes in front? or behind your pictures?

Thanks, we're going to send it back on Tuesday. I don't remember, we put our package together via Skype and I admit that we might have made some mistakes. Well, we'll send it and play another waiting game with USCIS

Why don't they have clear guidelines of what to include in the package. Then they need pictures with HANDWRITTEN dates and issue tons of RFEs

Today is the 7th day after they officially received my RFE. Not expecting much but im hoping! I saw a couple approved after 7 days. Last wk i received the text at 630 pm Central time.

Does anybody know how long it takes for the RFE to come to you, I tried calling USCIS to ask if they can tell me whats the RFE about so I can start preparing, but of course they refuse to tell me anything.

Also has anyone tried making a 2nd visit with the VWP while waiting for this K1?

We got the notification on Sep 26 and had in in hand on Oct 3.
