Hang in there, we know exactly how you feel. We have the same NOA1 as you and just got approved today. I know it is very frustrating, stressful and depressing. Please don't give up, it will come any day now.

  2. congrats/ im so happy for you.. were same july 23.. we want to call also. but were wodering what we will say.. did they give the aproval directly the time you call. can you help us. or suggest what we need to do. i will appreciate your response.

Hi, thank you so much. when you do call, press the option that says You do NOT have your receipt number and then wait for a representative. When they come on the line have your receipt number available, they will ask you a few questions and then ask for your receipt number. Just ask them if they have an update on your application. I hope they will give you great news like us. You can ask to speak to a Tier 2 representative who may or may not be able to tell you a little bit more like if your file has been assigned to someone and if it has been looked at.

Good luck. I hope you call soon.

  3. how long does it take for the USCIS to give a notice that they recieved the petition? i also filled out the g-1145.? just excited that i stared the process. mailed it monday , delivered tuesday mid-day.

    thanks- alfred

It might be a while until you get an NOA1. This is on the USCIS website.

"Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives."

Good luck on this journey

  4. First of all people, thanks to all comments and answers. Anyways, im sooooo excited I just got my NOA1 yesterday, I know I have a long time but still, its a start. But I got my receipt number and when I checked processing times for Vermont, it says July 2. Does that mean the wull start my long process in july?? And second, any feedback anyone on Vermont service center? I actually read California was faster but im filed in Vermont..

It is SUPPOSED to mean they are working on applications from July 2 but filers after that have been processed already. You just never know, many people have filed after us on July 23 and have already received their NOA2. Its hard to tell who is processing faster now, it was California, but then they slowed down and it seemed like Vermont sped up, but now they have slowed down. Good luck on your journey.

  5. My NOA1 was July 16th at Vermount, does anyone know on which dates are they acting now? it's almost 7 months

Well it says VSC is processing July 2 (for K1). There have been many approvals that have filed after my NOA1 date of July 23. If they cleaned up their process, then maybe more people will get approved in the order they were filed. It just isn't right that people who have filed weeks or months after have gotten their approvals. Good luck, hopefully we will get our NOA2 soon.

  6. That stinks, sorry to hear that. At least you will know soon exactly what they need and you can provide it to them and get your NOA2 soon. It would be nice if they would let you know exactly what they need immediately instead of having to wait for a hard copy to find out. These service centers could make the process a lot better if they update some of their procedures.

  7. We still haven't received our NOA2 yet, however I am trying my best to prepare for the interview. I am worried mostly about the i-134, I want to get it right the first time and have all my bases covered. Here is my dilemma I have not filed taxes in more than 4 yrs. There has been no need or legal obligation to do so. I have been able however to live quite comfortably with nontaxable income during this time. That being said, and bearing in mind we are always a year behind in the tax world, my 2011 bank statement is more than good to show support for my fiance. If I have to account for 2012 (taxes do not have to be filed until April 15) I might be in trouble. The thing is I own rental property, I did not begin renting until November 20, 2012 therefore other than notarized lease agreements, bank deposits and proof of property ownership I have nothing else to verify this particular income. If I can include it with these documents and file my taxes for this income in 2014 then I more than meet the guidelines for the i-134. Also my fiance is covered with health insurance which is paid for annually, so he is covered until March 2014 and if I go by the timelines I am hoping the interview will be no later than April.

Please if anyone can answer or knows, will I be allowed to include my rental property as income and will the documents that I can produce to verify this be sufficient?

I own rental property as well and just finished my taxes. I use TURBOTAX and it allows you to fill in the appropriate information for rental properties. I printed it out after processing and will give this to my fiance for her interview. Try to include any income, paycheck, checks for rental property, anything you have to submit for your interview. Good luck.
