  1. My fiance is telling me with fed-ex she will have to pay for the package when it gets there. Is that true? I need to make sure something gets to her in the mail within a week or 2. She told me to send LBC but I don't know what the heck that is.

I am not sure about the Fedex fee, but I have shipped a couple of Balakbayan boxes with LBC (it is a company based in the philippines) but they have dealers here in the US, just look them up online. If you are just shipping something small, you can use DHL, it will get there a lot faster. My Balakbayan boxes took about 45 days to get there. Good luck whatever you decide

  2. So, so happy!!! It seems to have been an eternity. :) :)

Can anybody explain to me what I need to do now and what are the next steps? What are the estimate timescales for these steps?

There is hope out there. Hang in there to everybody still waiting, your time will come! :)

Congratulations, we just recently got approved. We waited to get our case #, which took about two weeks. Now my fiance has scheduled her medical and will wait for our application to be forwarded to the Embassy. We are going to schedule her interview very soon. I am sending her my I-134 and appropriate documents, paystubs, Tax Return, W2s, new Letter of Intent to Marry for both of us, Employment Letter, Bank Statements, Divorce Documents if necessary. Good luck.

  3. Thanks for your replies. Still confused wether guam or honolulu will be my poe.

Hope its honolulu as i have plenty of layover time there.

I have read on here that many people have had Guam as their POE. Just type in something like "is guam my POE" in the search box and you will get results from people who have had Guam as their POE.

Good luck to you where ever your POE is.

  4. Thanks everyone. It felt better to get this out of my system. Luigi was an abused rescue Italian Greyhound taken from his owners because he was kicked so hard that it permanently collapsed his lung. I had him with me for 8 years. Long term albuterol helped him to breath and live a happy life. But this time pneumonia set in and he didn't recover.

You know what I'm feeling right now is anger. Complete and total rage. Against the person who hurt my Luigi. A tiny little dog and someone hurt him that bad. I am a very non-violent person - but I think I could easily do some damage to that guy if I had my hands on him. Luckily I don't know who it is. I'm a veterinary assistant by occupation. This is making me consider going into animal cruelty investigations.

I'm going to try to deal with this and move on. I leave for Morocco on March 18. I am getting married. I need to focus on that.

Thank you guys for listening and letting me vent.

As long as you have your memories of your little Luigi, he will always live on...Long Live Luigi  Best Wishes to you.

  5. Hi Guys. I know this is not in any way immigration related but I hope someone hear will understand. My little dog Luigi died today. He was my best friend. I am devastated. This is supposed to be a happy time. I'm getting married next month. And nothing seems to matter right now. I just feel lost right now. Sorry for being so depressing. I guess I really just need to get this out of my system and I thank you for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear about Little Luigi, it is always so sad to lose one of our four legged friends. I know how devastating a loss like that can be. Just remember how much fun you both had together and how you made each others life so wonderful and all the good times you'vs shared. Those memories will last you a life time. Good luck and sorry again for your loss. Luigi knew you were in good hands and passed on, and is now resting so you can start a new chapter in your life. RIP LUIGI (F)

  6. I don't post here much, but following everyone else's stories and reading updates has kept me upbeat about this whole process. My application was a work of art, literally. Every t crossed, every i dotted. every photo dated, labeled, cross referened with passport stamp, plane tickets, and hotel reservations. It could not have been more organized. I never had any doubt we would get approved. Just didn't think it would happen until after the 220 day mark given waht I've been reading around here.

Anyway, after 204 days of waiting since recieving our NOA1, we have recieved our NOA2!

Just wanted to say thanks everyone for sharing their journey here.

Congratulations  We know how you feel, ours took 206 days, we are so happy. Now we are waiting on our case #. What part of Jersey, I grew up in New Jersey (Somerset County).

  7. So sorry you guys are still waiting. I kept trying to submit an e-request each day, not sure if it helped but we got our NOA2 soon after. We were getting so desperate that we would try anything. I called daily as well and always asked to speak to a Tier 2.

They really need to clean up their process of approving these applications so that they are reviewed/approved/RRE in the order they were applied. It simply isn't fair that people who have filed after you have been approved/RFE.

Good luck and please keep the faith
