Since you are way out of the average timeline, they obviously screwed up somewhere. You should file an expedite request. This is one of the reasons you are allowed!

an expedite request? really, based on what? Just because this is taking forever?
I did try to expedite way back in January and was denied (medical due to pregnancy).

No a lawyer can't do anything. Save your money. Just like your congressman and senator. It's in the system you have to just wait. I do know that your local office Chicago is hosed and nothing not even the president can do about that.
Because of the shutdown i would have suggested contacting the ombudsmen office but have heard they may be closed. But you should try them. I have seen them get some results
I figured it's probably a waist but lawyer wants to review everything I sent in...I haven't gotten any rfe and I know since I haven't gotten any at this point at least I'm not missing anything

wow this whole immigration thing in on my last nerve. I keep seeing people who applied after me already approved and getting their interview assigned. and I'm nearly 14 months of waiting and still nothing????????????????? yes, I have contacted my senator and congressman since march and they only thing that happened was my case got transferred to my local city and made an info pass appointment and they said expect another 3-6 months before they get to me.
I'm seeing a lawyer on Monday, it will be the first time I see one regarding this case. wondering if that's just a waist of money or can they possibly get through...
I feel like a single mother struggling to get by when I shouldn't have to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hello I do have a husband stuck in one of the worst places on earth who's missing our daughter growing up.
-
hope your luck is better than mine!!!!
i'm almost 14 months into waiting for NOA2 (senator involved, but clearly not doing much). AND I had my baby alone here in US
-
don't expect anything useful from contacting a senator or congressman....I filed july 2012 and still no noa2!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I've been waiting for 14 months now and no noa2 yet. congressman and senator involved too
-
I just passed 14 months and still waiting for noa2
-
wow, I applied before you and I still haven't gotten my NOA2....this system sucks so bad..
congrats u are lucky
-
no I-130 for your daughter since you are a US citizen.
-
yep you can report the birth abroad...should be really easy for you!
-
I got this in june and still waiting !!
-
prayers and thinking of you!!
hope your congressman is able to make things happen because mine so far hasn't...
-
I thought if you are married for more than 2 years and then you get your residence card then yes, you would get the 10 year? a friend of mine was married for 3 years and when he finally came on a cr-1 a few weeks later he got the 10 year...so in this case, was that correct?
-
ok, i'm 13 months into waiting, still NOT approved, no requests for any missing info and I have senator and congressman involved. waiting to speak to a tier 2 was not worth my time....I even had our first baby alone. just don't be in a rush to expect anything approved...long wait times do happen and I never thought I would be one of them. so if they say 6-9 months this is an average-some get it quicker and some wait longer
-
yeah they told me in march I would be approved before july...and guess what???? I still have nothing 13 months of waiting still no approval
-
well here I am 1 year of nothing!!! still waiting on the I-130 to get approved and yes, of course I am getting assistance from my congressman and senator and that has not moved my case at all.
people must realize that there is a real possibility that it could take longer than 1 year to get approved, it does happen
-
hi !!
yes, we know exactly how you feel....I wish I could say this process is easy but really it just sucks. I even had to have our first baby alone in the US because our case was and is still pending.
we reach a year since I filed the I-130 and I am in constant contact with my senator and congressman but no one can make our case move. Not sure what else I can do except wait. But we are currently in Palestine just for a few more weeks then me and the baby are going home. hard to imagine when I will see him again and when will he see our baby...
-
Don't scare us...
You are outside the normal processing time. Have you contacted tier II / Infopass and asked them why it's taking so long?
oh I have done everything...tier 2 gave lies, my congressman and senator have been involved since March.
Not trying to scare anyone here, but it is a reality..just so ya'll know!!! it could happen
-
good luck july 2013,
I filed july 2012 and still have nothing :(
-
my best friend is Turkish and she has been a US citizen for last 8 years and never has any problems when entering back into TR and she has never had any other problems being a dual-citizen.
-
yes Durbin is the senator who is looking into our case since March...no infopass since ours was not transferred to the Chicago office but one in the suburbs which makes no sense and the senators office is confused as to why it is in another location...
-
we (daughter and I) are in Ramallah until the end of August...and we are still waiting for I-130 that I applied for last july, yep almost 365 days of nothing
my husband is enjoying every sec with our daughter until we leave, it will be very hard to leave him
-
i'm at day 356
come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...seriously how much longer???
both congressman and senator were not able to make our case move...
anyone else waited a year or longer before they got approved?
-
at least you all can get to the embassy to get an info pass
we are stuck in Palestine..i applied july 2012 and my case was recently forwarded back to Chicago and my case is still not moving

on Tuesday I called uscis to complain again and I did yet another service request for outside normal processing times and spoke to a tier 2 officer. well on Thursday I get a letter saying:
"Your petition is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition."
it's the quickest I ever got something from uscis, so they can't give me a timeframe even though it's been 14 months??????????? don't you think you've had enough time giving it consideration???????????? there must be the dumbest people working at the Chicago uscis field office.
Anyone else waited 14 months to get a NOA2?
