Yay! IV unlocked on Sept 9. Paid it Sept 10. Waiting for it to show PAID before we send my IV package.
I was told by 2 different reps that I should NOT wait, just send in IV package asap so it gets stamped into their system. as I said in earlier post, they told me to send in my IV package even before my bill was available.
-
I had a problem with mine also and the lady told me just send your civil documents in asap so it gets stamped in so it can begin its 60 days waiting. she said just make your own cover sheet with your case # on it and send it in. I sent it that day and few days later got the email to confirm my IV packet was stamped for aug 25. then my IV bill was generated the next day.

on my noa1 for my husband it listed country of birth as occupied Palestinian territories. but this was 2 yrs ago
did you speak with a supervisor?
-
well my husband came to the US on a b1/b2 and was only granted 1 month...so not everyone gets 6 months
-
my aos papers were received july 22 and civil docs on Aug 25. so first one 60 days should be up in about 2 weeks. praying all papers are ok and aren't missing anything. my visa journey is already past 2 years

Iguess im the only one left behind from a june 2013 filer..the are done with nvc I think. My only question is how long before the iv bill appear available after filling the ds261..coz we just fillef the DS261 last monday. I heard NVC were having issue now in iv billing.
you are not the only one!!! I filled in july 2012 !! we just did the choice of agent today

Dude took you like TWO years to get NOA2? What the hell? Is it because of where your wife's from?
I think it was a combination of him overstaying his visa when he was in the US and I was divorced, so yeah long wait time
-
I got my case number for nvc today, they said I'm in the time frame to get an email from them so anytime now !!
-
well, we FINALLY got approved May 12th, took awhile but NVC just got our case June 3rd. won't have case # for 30 business days, so sometime in July...waiting until then
-
hoping I'll be June, but most likely I'll be in July group since NVC got my case last week.
-
thanks, I really hope NVC goes quicker. this was crazy, I never thought I'd see the day this was approved!

Thank you God. FINALLY.
This has been the longest worst experience ever. From our case getting transferred from CSC to the local office and them going extremely slow at everything to an interview to RFE a $800 DNA test to another 2 months of waiting. not to mention having my baby alone and raising her as a single mother this whole process sucked most of the life out of me. I had both my congressman and senator involved since about 7 months into this, numerous infopass appointments and requests for outside the normal processing times, omg this has been the worst 22 months. Supervisor at Chicago called me yesterday to let me know case was approved and today the congressman's office sent over the confirmed letter from the Chicago field office. finally, a step closer to having my husband home and our family together!!!!!!!!!

My husband said he should get someone in the west bank to go to any Israeli police station and request this since there are no Israeli police stations in gaza...can he call the consulate and see what do they suggest?
-
Jerusalem is soooooooo slow in everything....just remember instead of the normal 2 countries, a third party is involved and they go extra slow.
-
just raising our daughter all by myself
-
I had a rfe for dna testing and they wont look at the results until the full 84 days they gave me to complete it expired even though it only took 1 month to complete. I just lost an extra 2 months . crazy
-
Jerusalem is super slow at everything
-
Can you do an infopass?
I have an infopass for next week
-
I see all these other people who get rfe and they get approved 1 or 2 weeks later and here I am waiting forever. must be because I'm dealing with a local office and not a service center.
my senator and congressman can't get any more info until this rfe expires :( meanwhile my husband has missed our daughter's first year
-
my I-130 is taking forever !!!
On January 27, 2014 I got a rfe for my husband (who I applied for ) and our daughter to have a dna test to prove a relationship. I had 84 days to complete this or get denied. On March 7th the test was finished and the lab sent in the paperwork to the Chicago office.
when I got the rfe, my senator gave me a copy of the email the Chicago office sent to them. basically they let the senator know they sent out a rfe and then it said, "Once the RFE has expired, an officer will review the case."
So even though I got the dna test done in about a month do I really have to wait the full 84 days???? this seems crazy !!!
-
your process is going better than mine !!!!
-
yes I understand your frustration!! have you contacted your local senator or congressman? most likely they can look into your case now since it's at 11 months. I contacted mine at 7 months and they have done their best to get answers.
Please remember all cases are treated differently. where as 1 person gets approved at 5 months and another person may wait 2 years.
I know our case is slightly different because I applied for I-130 but I am someone who has been waiting for a year and a half, so it happens
-
right, you do not need to send in with your initial package. I sent copies of divorce and birth certificate. but at some point you will need to get a certified copy of your divorce, they will require it especially at the interview

I was dealing with a very busy field office (Chicago) and it took them 2 months to respond to my RFE
