  1. Thank you very much.

I am still confused bc even if i send the origs to nvc, the consulate says they need origs.

    ?????

    Why?

I am panicking bc there is one doc i have only one orig. and i have no idea how to get another.

I dont know what to do. It is a divorce orig for beneficiary. I have the orig, but it is needed to get another copy. So i would have to send it to palestine, (which i dont know which service will do this either, every carrier i contact says they dont service palestine and inly israel, they say, they are not the same and they guarantee to israel), have my spouse get another copy and then send back one of the origs to me.

But i dont know how i will send it to my spouse and what if it does not get delivered. ???

I have researched, called the usps, checked the international countries of different carriers, and emailed usps, but i am no closer in know how to send the docs to west bank, Palestine

another thing, have you ever sent anything in the mail from the US to Palestine?

Well, let me tell you. Last year we wanted to make sure about my husband's address in the West Bank. So I got just a 99cent card went to the Post office they couldn't sent it to Palestine but for like $1.50 they sent it to Israel. When I addressed the envelope I put the West Bank, Palestine, Israel. it took 1 month and Israelis opened the letter and taped it back up, I mean it didn't matter to us since it was a "test" but now we know!!!! don't send important things through regular mail. not sure about fedex or others but just so you know!! sounds like a prison right? disgusting how Palestinians are treated..

  2. I agree with you. do not send important documents from Palestine. my husband sent all these nvc papers to me in May 2013 and I have never received them, I'm pretty sure Israel took them. I would suggest going to Jordan to send them.

It was my luck that I went back to Palestine a few months after he sent them and he got all the papers again that we needed and I took them back to the US.

one of us is divorced and we have a certified copy from the courthouse and that will be fine because it has all the stamps on it.

  3. What kind of questions they asked?

    how did we meet?

    where did we meet?

    did we ever live together?

was his name on our daughters birth certificate? yes, she asked how since he wasn't here? I said duh we are married and state of Illinois was fine with that. she made copy of it.

she made copies of our passports and visas going into Israel.

where did I go to college? which campus?

where does he work? where does he live? who does he live with?

what kind of visa did he have when he came to US before.

how many times did I go visit? how long did I stay?

does he send money to me? how much per month?

asked if we have a joint bank account? she made copies of my card issued in Palestine

she made several copies of photos I had with the date printed on them. she kept a ton of pics with the 3 of us together

  4. I am the petitioner however, I was under the impression that we both have to be there during the interview. Collect me if I'm wrong.

you (the us citizen) will only have an interview in the US if you get a notice or else He is the only one who will be interviewed. (I should note it would be rare for the US petitioner to be interviewed). and good luck with your baby. I had my baby alone last march in Chicago, I took her overseas when she was 11 weeks old, she did great!

  5. Did you atleast get a touch on your file?

What did they say in the infopass?

I heard some people got approved with a lawyer infopass

Did you lawyer help at all?

    update:

no, the lawyer refused to take my case and told me I would just have to keep waiting. just a lame experience.

A few days ago I got a notice in the mail saying in a few weeks uscis at Chicago office will be interviewing me (because I was married before) but i'm not worried, I just need to get past this step and keep going since we have a baby together now.

I do not think the info pass appointment I had in August did anything. I had another one yesterday when I got the appointment and tried to get my interview sooner but she said they were booked up :( she also said don't worry since you and your husband have a baby together and he's listed on her birth certificate. 3 weeks until my interview and we will see...positive thoughts that we get approved and move forward!!!!!

  6. Hello everyone i just checked our case in uscis and found this i'm Feb filler 2013 .so as i found this ; On October 17, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

What is that means ? is that Good or bad News

that means a long wait :( I got this same message

mine got transferred in June 2013 and still no noa2. I have had service requests and my senator involved, that has not helped :(

  7. How come you waited tha long?is your petitioner has a criminal record?or any previous merriage?when you called what did they say?when you have an infopass where is your case?feel sad

no criminal record for either of us. My case is in the Chicago office just collecting dust probably since they said i'm at the end of the line because there were other I-130's ahead of me. how is that fair? My case has been in the system since 7/26/12 and I have to go at the end of the Chicago line???!! I should be taken first.

So today I have already requested an expedite based on financial hardship. I guess we will see :(

everyday feel like such a waist

  8. What did your lawyer say ? I can feel your pain , 14 months is just so unfair when some people get approved in days , or 1-2 months.. plain unfair

I know this is a privilege, but there has to be some compassion, 14 months meaning at-least 2 years to be with loved one is sad

Lawyers. ughhhhh. I won't know until next week if they will take my case...But they did say expect to keep waiting because Chicago USCIS is going SO much slower. Hard to believe there is really nothing else I can do, just wait my turn :(

I would do another info pass downtown but getting there is really hard with a baby (I have no one to watch her)...and the sad part, no one cares. My husband is not in a safe area and it's extremely unstable. I have told this to uscis so many times and they just don't care. There should be more urgency for those in really bad places.
