my husband couldn't apply for a visit visa because he overstayed last visa...i'm due in 5 weeks with our first baby and he will miss it....But I heard you can apply but then you have to retun home and finish waiting for your i-130..that is what the uscis customer service told me

When I mail packages to Jordan I send to Amman and Irbid via USPS Express Mail. They are the least expensive for packages, and the fastest by far. Once the package leaves the US it is shipped DHL, you can see it on the tracking page, USPS must have some sort of arrangement with DHL. When you go to the post office just tell them you want to ship Express Mail and you won't have any problems. I mail packages to Jordan via Express mail at least once a month, I have been for 2 years and have never had a problem. Good luck!!
how long does that normally take to get to jordan? it takes months for stuff to get to palestine...

Hey guys, don't give up!!! I just moved pass the "initial review" onto "DECISION" on the USCIS website. I didn't check for a couple days but I just got the USCIS text alert. YAHOO!
so hopefully my i-130 is next because we are within a few days of you....

well I filed in July also and I'm still waiting
-
wow. dosen't that suck for the rest of us who filed before you
you are lucky
-
Yep, but you should change your NOA1 date to 7/29.
thankyou!
I pray I'm next

ok, on my I-797c it says priority date 7/26/2012. notice date 7/29/12
I put Aug 10 as the date the stupid paper finally arrived in the mail. I kinda thought that was what people were doing as the day it got recieved, not date on paper. so i'm in the right forum?
-
You probably belong over in the August thread since your NOA1 didn't come until August.
but don't I go by the filing date which is 7/26/12? this is what is on my paper that was sent in the mail

I really hope we get an answer soon...did they just start July, how do you find out which date they are currently at?
-
well you never know..
-
well I tried and nothing happened..I'm due in 5 weeks and it's taken me months to get used to the idea that my husband won't be there but you do get used to the idea believe me..
I also applied for the i-130 end of july and have gotten no response so you know jordan and palestine probably in the same extra slow situation

I have just reached 6 months also now and I tried to expediate the case and never got any answer

Just trying to get some information before I deceide. I may be having my first child in Palestine because my husband's I-130 has a long way to go ( I just applied last month). So how long would it take before my baby would get the US pasport and SSN? it would be issued from the Jerusalem Consulate. Has anyone had a baby overseas and had to apply for citizenship for their child. And yes I'm a US citizen by birth.
-
so if he is really going to be banned, how soon would I get denied after sending in the I-130? and technically he left in Aug 2010, so 8 more years?
-
I'm trying to get my paper work expedited because we are going to have a baby in March (yay!) but i'm stressing about getting my paperwork done quicker, has anyone tried to expedite their i-130 and was approved? my husband is palestinian and when he was in US before he overstayed his visa by a year and a half, but went back on his own.
so, do you all this this might be a problem??
should I get the k-3 visa? has anyone done this? does it really go faster?

oh very good to know! I did wonder if it was because it was going to a small town...he is in the West Bank. the other thing I'm concered with is since people don't usually get mail we didn't know how to address the letter.
eventually I put: Dura, Hebron, West Bank, Israel
I had to put israel because USPS didn't have the option for Palestine...
