  1. Are you mailing to the West Bank or Gaza ? USPS is not always reliable for Palestine; even Express Mail can take months - your package will arrive in Israel very quickly, and then it might show up at its actual destination weeks or months later, after you'd given up all home of it ever arriving. For Palestine, I would use a private shipping company such as Aramex instead - it can take a week to 10 days to deliver from the US to the West Bank, but it's more reliable than USPS. Also, delivery to a major city such as Ramallah will be faster than to a small town out in the boonies...

oh very good to know! I did wonder if it was because it was going to a small town...he is in the West Bank. the other thing I'm concered with is since people don't usually get mail we didn't know how to address the letter.

eventually I put: Dura, Hebron, West Bank, Israel

I had to put israel because USPS didn't have the option for Palestine...

  2. my husband couldn't apply for a visit visa because he overstayed last visa...i'm due in 5 weeks with our first baby and he will miss it....But I heard you can apply but then you have to retun home and finish waiting for your i-130..that is what the uscis customer service told me

  3. When I mail packages to Jordan I send to Amman and Irbid via USPS Express Mail. They are the least expensive for packages, and the fastest by far. Once the package leaves the US it is shipped DHL, you can see it on the tracking page, USPS must have some sort of arrangement with DHL. When you go to the post office just tell them you want to ship Express Mail and you won't have any problems. I mail packages to Jordan via Express mail at least once a month, I have been for 2 years and have never had a problem. Good luck!!

how long does that normally take to get to jordan? it takes months for stuff to get to palestine...

  4. Hey guys, don't give up!!! I just moved pass the "initial review" onto "DECISION" on the USCIS website. I didn't check for a couple days but I just got the USCIS text alert. YAHOO!

so hopefully my i-130 is next because we are within a few days of you....

  5. Just trying to get some information before I deceide. I may be having my first child in Palestine because my husband's I-130 has a long way to go ( I just applied last month). So how long would it take before my baby would get the US pasport and SSN? it would be issued from the Jerusalem Consulate. Has anyone had a baby overseas and had to apply for citizenship for their child. And yes I'm a US citizen by birth.

  6. I'm trying to get my paper work expedited because we are going to have a baby in March (yay!) but i'm stressing about getting my paperwork done quicker, has anyone tried to expedite their i-130 and was approved? my husband is palestinian and when he was in US before he overstayed his visa by a year and a half, but went back on his own.

so, do you all this this might be a problem??

should I get the k-3 visa? has anyone done this? does it really go faster?
