Waleed39 got a reaction from Natasha&Noor in New Islamabad AP-Tracker, Part III (merged thread)
called the NVC regarding my mother's case after there were multiple updates this month, got the same lady twice. She was nice enough to tell me that the embassy wants to know whether my mother has ever been issued a 'dip passport' which is probably short for diplomatic. my mothers an above 50 house wife, why on earth would she ever be issued a diplomatic passport. This was a week ago, but got no email or call from the embassy. I mean its just an email they have to send, and they delay it for a week. Delays like these probably add up to years of AP.
Also, it seems like having the congressman's office contact the embassy does make them do some work.

    Thanks all of you
@ waleed: I was not requested to sent ds260 or photos only they called and ask for fresh medical which i sent on 28-6-14 and it was there on 2-7-14 on 2nd july they called(phone)me again and said that i did't sent one of my daughter's medical, I said no it is in the same packed and after double check he said ok we have it. then embassy had holidays on 4th, 5th and 6th of july. On 7th july there was update on ceas and on 8th it changed to issued.
I was interviewed on 27th nov. 2013 so AP lasts for 7 months and 11 days
I think medical expires after six months and ds260, photos, finger prints and police certificate expires in one year
if anyones case is in AP for more than one year then they will request these things + signing and outh otherwise only medical will work
or may be I am wrong....wo badshah log hain jo chahen karen
    Good luck to you all

    Hello Everyone,
I have done some research regarding ISL Embassy, would like to share with you.
Total cases on which analysis is made is = 167
Cases registered at NVC on 22-May-2012 = 59

Cases registered at NVC on 24-May-2012 = 46
    22-May-2012 Registered Case Analysis:

Cases with Issued Status completed in less than 6 months from case registration date = 8
    23-May-2012 Registered Case Analysis:
    Total = 62
Out of 62 cases, 24 cases are in "AT NVC" Status, means that they are not further processes and not sent to embassy yet.
Remaining cases which were processed at Embassy = 38 (62-24).

NOTE: This data is gathered from the status check website by entering the sequence of case number and putting it in excel. This is just a summary.
    My comments:
Be motivated, be connected to your loved ones all the time, don't discuss at all about AP at any time with your loved ones, do discuss only when there is update. continue your work what ever you are doing right now, don't wait only but enjoy ur life in present as wait is just waste of time, so don't waste your time and enjoy your precious time of life. no one can go abroad until and unless ALLAH wants him/her to go, else there are many Pakistanis having nationality of US or even green card or visa of US but they are living here for some reason. Its not just the visa game only. There are many who are living abroad and wants to come back but can't until and unless ALLAH wants him/her. So its nothing just waste of time by thinking that one day I will get visa and I will leave, you don't know circumstances of future, might you are not able to go, might your loved one wants to come back to live with you here at that time, so ALLAH knows everything. just apply for visa and continue your life as it is, so you will feel more happy here then going abroad.
    Regards,
    Helper2013

The main doctor who is incharge wasnt even there! And some female intern just pushed my lower abdomen. Never had to get in my birthday suit

I think it means that they will continue your case as normal. They did not say they were sending the case back to USCIS in the United States.
I am very excited today. The dates have changed for 3 days in a row on the ceac website. Someone is working on our case. I pray they finish our case and issue the visa soon.

US is the only modern country that gives citizens the right to call their siblings to their country for permanent residency, atleast give it that. Now I'm not defending the US immigration policy, who wouldn't love getting a visa right away, but an open door for everyone does not go well with the economic needs nor does it with the political strength of the party incharge. When a citizen loses a job to a new immigrant, that makes him say 'peace you' to the government. Just like a dollar bill is a paper and printed by the US government(who are humans), visas have to be regulated and managed.
A US citizen does not have to wait in line for calling their spouses, young children and parents, which is very fair and logical. But if they so eagerly wish to be reunited with their whole family tree right away, then moving back to the home country shouldn't cause problems.

ANS YOUR ALL QUESTION ABOUT CIR FOR FAMILY BASE VISA

Family reunification has long been the cornerstone of our immigration system, and the Senate bill proposes significant changes to the family-based system. Many of the bill’s provisions are welcome and much-needed changes that will help millions of families. Importantly, the bill redefines “immediate relatives” to include spouses and minor children of green card holders (the so-called “2a” fix), which will exempt those family members from numerical caps and reunite them quickly. Another significant change is the elimination of the current family backlog of 4.3 million loved ones over a period of 8 to 10 years. In the meantime, some family members with approved petitions awaiting a green card will be able to live and work in the U.S. on a “V” visa. Also on the plus side, the bill proposes allowing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) discretion to waive grounds of inadmissibility if denying admission would result in hardship to an immigrant’s U.S. citizen or LPR parent, spouse, or child. These are all-important changes that will provide relief for many families in the Asian, Latino, African, and Caribbean communities.

However, the other proposed changes are cause for concern and raise many questions. Moving forward, U.S. citizens would no longer be able to sponsor their brothers or sisters (there is an 18-month grace period after enactment). And the family preference category for married adult children (“F3” category) would be limited to individuals 30 years old or younger. The bill does not include provisions to include LGBT couples and their families in our immigration system. It is envisioned that some of these individuals will still be able to come to the U.S. through the new merit-based system, which allocates points to individuals based on different criteria. For example, the bill proposes granting 10 points for being a brother or sister of a U.S. citizen. This is the same number of points awarded for having a Master’s Degree.
