one week from today my wife has her interview I am definitely more nervous then her.

being nervous is a human emotion and is normal, nothing to worry about.

K1s are being schedule by consulates/embassies on a regular basis as it completes processing, while ir1/cr1 are being scheduled by nvc based on allotments available from each embassy for the given month...

the only problem is: The NVC was closed on Monday and now they have also closed TODAY!

I got an email from NVC on 25th october, 2012 saying that my documents have been processed and that they would intimate me as soon as my appointment has been fixed(which means i think that my case has been complete at NVC!). So what's the possibility that i might get a december interview slot? There is no way i can join my husband for our first anniversary but hoping to join him atleast on the New year's eve.!

no one really knows because every Embasy is different, so you will have to wait it out.

we are all in the same boat.

Called NVC 7 days ago and found out our case has been completed and today we get the following email:

Had my original interview date on 11/13. Had my medical yesterday, emailed the embassy and they moved me up to 11/6! That's next Tuesday!! Both nervous and excited!

as per the recommendations on the uscis site, i had mine organized with acco fasteners, then in a folder and finally a manila envelope. stuck the whole thing in a Priority Mail envelope and sent with delivery confirmation. i've attached a photo of the fasteners (and my dividers etc.)

your holes on top are the wrong width, they may reject it because they like to punch there own holes on top to there standard.

the tabs are very good though.

The casese usually ###### out 1 to 2 weeks after they notify you of your interview. So hold on. You'll know soon enough. If they do like October assignments thet started on October 2nd.

I think next thursday and Friday will be a buzz with excitement.

Our IR1 Case was Completed Oct 17, 2012 and still don't know when the interview will be and have been calling the NVC everyday and sometimes the DOS.

NO LUCK SO FAR! so you can put me on the list if you want

every embasy has a different average time.

sometimes 2 days and other times 2 months.

many factors.

every once in a while they have to reject someone or it looks like they are not doing there job.

and they know you will end of getting another interview if you ask for it.

so no harm done.
