  1. LOL I just had to read the instructions again.

I must be mixing up my matte/glossy

    exactly!

I use photoshop myself and have them printed at Walgreens on Dated Photo paper. not regular photo paper though, the real stuff.

you can fit 2 on a 4 by 6 and cost about a dollar for 6 photos.

I cut them out myself but only for people who are skilled like myself.......

head size and eye height are important.

  2. My fiance and I have been worrying about what will happen if his K-1 gets denied for any reason. He does not want to get the vaccines that are required and will fill out the waiver for that, but if our visa gets denied will he be barred from entering the US to see me on a tourist visa?

    No Vaccines = No Visa

unless you have a no-brainer reason why.

if she really loves you, she will get the vaccine....

  3. The fine was $250. Quite steep really. I will have to hunt around for the paper work or contact the campus police for more details.

I am worried that if I dont bring this up in the application I might get in trouble. Should this be in the applicatiom or will it be brought up in the interview?? I dont even know if theres a place for it in the applocation...

steep? no it isn't because Alcohol Kills....

  4. Woohoo, looks like she's actually getting the visa this time!! Congrats! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Typically, the visa is valid for 6 months, but it may be a little different in your case as the visa took so long to issue. Ultimately, you'll just have to wait and see as the expiration date will be clearly printed on the visa. She should have enough time though if the flight's in September. And wow.gif , that's an amazing deal! Even if she does have to pay to change it, that's still pretty cheap for a one-way from Europe to the US.

Thank You very much Saylin! rose.gif

just don't tell my wife I sent you a flower.

  5. "Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted."

Well Saylin, some very good news as you can see!

My question is: When will the Visa expire?

My wife already purchased an airplane ticket for late September but for a small fee she can change the date. I told her not to purchase a ticket ahead of time but there was a special promotion so she only paid around $150 for a one way ticket from Paris to Boston. And I believe it will cost her $50 to change the date.

    .

  6. I'm sure your visa will be issued by next week. I have seen where they update the status to "administrative processing" just before issuing the visa. Also marriage visa seem to be processed quicker than fiance.

what are you talking about? because you are WRONG!!!!

everybody gets put into AP until they issue the Visa!

    do you understand?

there is further AP that may occur tough but you will only know this if they communicate this to you.

  7. We need your help....what we supposed to do next? this is very disappointing.....:-(

On June 28, 2013, we mailed you a denial decision notice for this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). The notice explains why the denial decision was made and the options that may be available to you. If you have not received this notice within 15 days of June 28, 2013, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance....

just realize most Visa Journey members like to see other people suffer.

it's only human nature in most of us......

so I am sure you will get plenty of attention........

    best of luck to you!

  8. That's definitely good news. And yes, it's normal as medicals are only valid for 6 months. Police certificate validity varies by country, so it must be 6 months for France. Get the medical and a new PCC done asap and send them to the embassy. Hopefully that visa will be issued shortly afterwards.

it looks like she may not travel out to be with me until September but we expect to get the Visa in late July or early August. She will have to travel to Paris to get the Medical. The French police cert.can be obtained online very easily .

  9. That does sound like a false checklist based on them reviewing, and accepting, your AOS package. Have you called them yet to find out?

Have you called up DOS yet to see what they say?

I don't think flying out would help much. I'm not even sure you'd be allowed in the embassy for that, especially without an appointment.

I call the DOS everyday. And they keep saying we are in AP.

When I called the Embassy last a week ago I was told we should have a positive issue in 3 days. I believe the FPU is done with all their fraud checks and have no forwarded it back to the Consulate Officer. I just can't stand waiting any longer and I am afraid I may do something that may affect the case in a negative way.

What are we to do? Just wait? But for how long?

  10. Today is our 6 Months Visa Interview Anniversary.

On December 13, 2012 my wife had her Visa Interview and was told at the end of the interview: "Congratulations you will have your Visa in 10 days"

It has been exactly 6 months and still NO Visa!

On May 30, 2013 my wife received this email:

    Dear Mrs abc,

We’re working on your case thoroughly in order to give a positive issue quickly,

    Thank you for your information,

    Regards,

    Fraud Prevention Unit

So at this point in time can anybody recommend what I should do?

Maybe fly out to the Embassy, would I be able to get an appointment to talk to someone at the Embassy?

  11. Her K1 visa is classified as a non-immigrant visa, once used, she can never re-use it again.

As soon as she enters the US, you have 90 DAYS to get married. If you don't get married within that timeframe, she will be OUT OF STATUS and can be deported anytime.

yes she can be deported, but the policy right now is not to deport unless you commit a serious crime.

so you don't need an immigrant visa to live in the USA.

  12. Good Morning Saylin,

I believe I am done venting so lets get down to business.

I was able to call the US Embassy in France and actually talk to somebody who knows about the case. He stated that my wife has been honest and we should have a Visa issued in about 3 days ClockWatch2.gif with no guarantee of course. So should I be jumping for joy? dancin5hr.gif I don't think so because of what happened before. The good news is my wife has still been working and saving money over the last 6 months and will be able to continue to work until she gets her visa.

    have a great weekend

  13. so, is TPC? Third Party Correspondence? The Embassy is reacting to Third Party Correpondence? Yikes and OUCH !

If an extended investigation was ordered by the US Embassy, and then a field agent INTERVIEWED this third-party - they do take into consideration what is said. Ultimately, it's up to the Vice-Consul, Chief of Immigrant Visa Section there, to actually make the determination of approval or denial.

Now I can understand yer prior questions about the Fraud Prevention Unit.

So, it's sounding like TPC is involved and it's currently messy.

I really don't know what to tell you... Except...

you've given out this info over days, a few weeks, piecemeal. Could you redo 'the telling' and tell all in one message, one post, perhaps a new topic here at VJ? I'm a thinking if you TELL ALL, someone can give you accurate advice.

yes, somehow the TPC got an interview at the US Embassy, and we found this out the last time my wife had her visitors visa approved. Well at this point in time I am done venting, The good news is, I have been able to call the Embassy on the telephone and was able to talk to somebody at the Embassy. It is a secret phone number that is not made public that we got when they sent my wife an email. they said we should have a positive issue in 3 days. So next week we should hear the good news. I hope so! and thank you for your reply and look forward to you next.

  14. Interesting question.

    There's a huge difference between

    1. being arrested

    2. being charged with a crime

    3. being convicted of a crime

so if #1 happened and #2 happened but not #3, for example, there's still going to be a court document set . Also, if #3 not occur, then there is no criminal record , per se but there will be a court record .

Again, that's just an example. I'm not an attorney nor do I play one on TV - so , as with everything, YMMV, greatly.

    4. A non-US citizen makes verbal accusations against you, to a US Embassy, with no proof of any wrongdoing?

why No. 4.? because my wife has never been arrested, charged with a crime or convicted of a crime.

So why does a non-US citizen able to nullify what the Police Certificate says?

If they just want to be 100% sure, why don't they demand court records from everybody?
