K1's are dual intent and the real intent is immigration so they are handled and interviewed like it is an immigrant visa. It stops behaving like one IF you don't get married in time.

Debbie is right. It takes couple of weeks sometimes to get the case 'into their system'. We got about the same kind of response too and I was told to check back again two weeks before my husband's interview which I never did anyway.

you will be fine just email them again soonest. Sometimes the CEAC tracking gives you an update when they finally eneter it. It will show a newer date of update to your file which means someone has touched it there.

You know at Embassy its like they do at NVC. It arrives but not logged into system. K1's are very popular at Lagos so give them some tine next week I would say. Keep emailing and staying on the, though. It is well.

I will email them on a regular basis.lol, my nerves are frayed from this immigration process .So I just have to be a little bit more patient and prayerful . Thx Dwheels.

Ok VJ, help me out here good people. My K1 case was sent to Lagos embassy on 5/3/13 .I emailed LagosIV and was told this week "no case number like this exists in our system". The LGS2013****** number i emailed them is correct, i have triple checked this. My questions are ....how long do i wait before i email again ? How long does it generally take for a case to be uploaded in the system ? Am i emailing the correct section or should i email LagosNIV ?

This Boko haram ####### is getting out of hand and honestly has been for the past year or so. Don't you think its time that President Good luck Jonathan asks for help from the UN or other African nations? He has tried a prior army offensive and state of emergencies have been declared before. They (boko haram sects) just die down and rise quickly up again. My guy was telling me that now christians in the northern areas are preparing to go to war with Boko haram members if they are seen in their area.

Yes, my friend i am at this stage now . Once you email Lagos they should send you details about paying your visa fee to GT Bank. you will print that email sent and take it the bank along with you LGS number. The receipt that your fiance gets from paying will be used to schedule your appointment online. In the email that Lagos will send you will be packet 3 documents.If you want you can get those forms ahead of time at http://travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_1342.html . Just read our embassy info guide and it will tell you what forms are needed.God bless and Good luck.

dwheels, is right! please call (NVC) 603-334-0700 ,give them your case number from VSC and they will give you your LGS case number. After you have the LGS number email LagosIV@state.gov and give them your details along with this LGS number .They will give you your next steps on how to schedule the interview online.Good luck.

I got my REF and I have til July 18,2013 to answer back and they are requiring me to have a prove that we met before 2 years of filling which we didn't , My question is, if I make a trip now and get pics and proves and turn to them, will they accept it as evidence? right now I have hundreds of calls, thousands of texts,money transfer receipt, proof of mailed item thru post office, greeting cards, and emails.. Do you guys know if I have any hope not to be denied?

hello, typically if you missed a dose in the 3 part series you would only have to take the missed dose or start from where you stopped.The missing shot would just have to be given as soon as possible. In your case if they insist that you get the three shots again, restart the series, then you will have some time added to your wait because there should be a time gap between the 2 and 3rd shot normally like 8 weeks. Anyways If they insist then just start over it wont harm your system. Good luck and God bless.

I went through something similar so I know how you are feeling right now.My advice is to go ahead and try for an expedite ,if they refuse it at least you have tried. I know that right now you are feeling overwhelmed and scared. Please,take things one situation at a time and ask for help from your friends and family members if they are around. Try your congressman or woman . I tried congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema- 602 956 2285 . The rep actually cares here and will try to help.

Senator Jeff Flake -602 840 1981- you can try here but IMHO, they don't care to help. The rep here told me I just have to in her experience "wait in line" .She didn't even ask me to fill out a privacy act consent form.

Senator John McCain - never calling tried here. 602 952 2410. I would try them before Flake.

Hello , is your last name a common name? if so this may not be a problem in the end. However ,as you are doing now ,it would be wise to address the issue prior to filing. There are several ways to do so. I am sure other members will chime in . IMO, Submit with your I-129F packet Birth certificates for both you and your fiancée. You can also submit BC's of both parents if available. I don't think your embassy is a tough one ,I may be wrong. In the end if your CO suspects you may be related as lets say cousins ,a DNA test may be asked for.

Side note: It is not illegal to marry a cousin if the state you are residing in allows it.

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On April 24, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I am shaking and in tears, I got so scared when i saw it was on post decision activity because i was expecting a RFE so bad so i thought it was denied.

So FYI if some of you after sending the petition notice or think that you forgot some important documents to the petition, feel free to call them and ask how to send additional documents to the petition, they will give you the info on how to mail them the docs and they will match it with your file ! That's what we did as in september when i joined VJ i saw all these things we forgot (letter of intent, pics etc...). If they didn't match it i would have had a RFE for sure !

First off ,A BIG congrats to you on getting your NOA2!!!!! :dance: :dance: Secondly, I just want to say you make a really good point. Prior to getting an RFE ,If needed additional documents can be sent to CSC and they will match it up to your records. I did the same thing.
